Im very happy that I found this place, it has everything you would want and more. I love the pool, I go swimming everyday. Very clean and friendly people.

We love this place. Extremely clean. All staff are professional and kind and more than willing to help with any questions. The classes available are awesome, and there is something for everyone. CNC is also a great plus for a healthy (or unhealthy) snack post workout

Id give this gym no stars if I could. You can tell its owned by a hospital by all their ridiculous and archaic rules that they are implementing. You now have to make an actual reservation if you simply want to use the pool, hot tub, sauna or steam room. This generated some good laughs by myself and other members today. Good luck enforcing that. On top of that, I was humiliated by some old crow taking temperature scans that my mask wasnt over my nose enough for her liking. Screw you lady! I quit this evening and they should just close their doors as their equipment is about 50 years old and sucks. Go to Great Life as its 1000% better and about half the price. Good riddance!

I’ve never hear of not allowing children into pools (with parents present and in the pools with the children) at fitness centers. Maybe it is a SD thing as I’ve taken my kids to large centers back home for years. Luckily Sanford does!

Changing my rating from 5 stars to 3. Not sure what has happened, but that staff are genuinely unhappy. The front desk folks dont seem to care if you are there or not, the floor staff are grumpy, and the management is happy to sit in their offices, or grump the few times they come out. The facilities are fantastic...so 3 stars. But the staff...not so much.

Very nice gym and always well kept. I used to always have a membership here, but with their restrictions and reduced hours I will go elsewhere. Closing early makes no sense as more people have to come to fit into the reduced hours. Its a business move, and its not good for the member.

My husband and I are new to Sioux Falls and wanted to check out this facility. Jason, Manager, gave us a tour and a three day pass. I cannot say enough good things about our entire experience!He was friendly and professional, taking pride in his business and community. The facilities were gorgeous, clean and well laid out. I have been in many gyms over the course of my 20+ year bodybuilding pursuit. This one was tops. They have a spa setup with hot tub, sauna (wet and dry) as well as a pool (by appt only for COVID). The locker rooms were spa quality with all toiletries provided-even shaving cream and hair gel!

A really fancy health club. The supply toiletries, towels and lockers where you make up your own combination. Theyve got lots of classes starting early in the morning; a salt water lap pool for swimming. Theyve got a steam room, sauna and hot tub in both the womens and mens locker rooms. The hot tub Im the womens locker room has the most powerful jets of any one Ive been in. Theres even a little cafe in the lobby area. Youd think Id be a member. I would if I lived in Sioux Falls.

The fitness center is well kept and the equipment is in great working order. The locker room is always clean and well stocked with towels, shampoo, soap, conditioner and lotion. The swimming pool is wonderful. The stall is very helpful and the trainers are excellent. If you miss a week they even send you reminders to get you back in the swing of things. They are great !!

I loved my tour of this place, the classes offered, and can’t wait to join once this pandemic is over.

I went here as a guest, and the facility was amazing! Full amenities for showering after your workout is a great feature. There is also childrens care for parents. I took a swim aerobics class and Charissa the instructor was awesome. I got a quick tour from by Sister, and the fitness center is nice and spread out with lots of room and equipment.

I think the Avera Fitness Center isnt the fitness center it was known as 15 years ago...Dont get me wrong, its still a pretty nice place, but it seems to have an old boys club feel to it. The color schemes are dated, but the equipment is of high quality. The reason I bring up the decor and clientele is because of the price. My wife and I pay just over $100 a month. We have kids, but its more to take them to the child care portion of the club, so we go at separate times, which means we dont go as often as we would like. With the Great Life perks and lower price, I would strongly consider checking them out. You would think with the competition, Avera would try a little harder to stay relevant. We will probably be dropping our membership soon to make way for a more family friendly option.

A pool, whirlpool, steam room, and dry sauna are all available to members, along with a well kept locker room. This is all on top of the nice gym equipment, included classes, and full basketball court. All the instructors here have been super helpful and people are very friendly and inclusive at all the classes, regardless of your fitness level. The friendliness of the staff and other members makes it easier to go to the gym and try new and challenging classes.

Love the therapy pool

Great pool, warm water pool and hot tub. The upstairs has all of the cardio equipment and weights you would ever need. Its clean and well maintained.Ive done physical therapy there for a knee replacement. Terry and Mark did an outstanding job on getting me back on my feet.

Theyre always hopeful even when my son that has special needs I have patience they help you listen Ill they care

This place is amazing! So many different ways to get your exercise is even with existing health problems making it harder then normal. The pools are a really great way to work out if the other machines arent up your alley. While the membership is a bit high you do get a lot of benefits! Including the fact that the memberships arent on contract, so if youre unable to pay them its much easier to cancel then other gyms. Lastly because its offered by Avera it can go on your HSA if you have one, making it just a bit easier to manage!

This place is really nice, a little spendy but you get what you pay for. Would be nice if they had a referral reward program because I have recommended this place to many friends. They really helped me keep on track instead of just shoving me at the equipment with the same fitness plan as everyone else. I am very happy to have joined here.

As someone who doesnt typically like gyms, I love this place! Always clean, helpful and friendly staff, great atmosphere, and hot tub in the locker room so you dont have to worry about the creepy old men that you so often see at other places always taking it up! ;)

Gym is excellent, equipment good, great sauna. The ONLY Huge major draw back is the extra help staff in the green shirts up in the equipment fitness area never bother to clean or wipe down the equipment in their free time? Nor do they remind any of the sweaty folks using the equipment to wipe up after themselves! I assume it is their job to clean the equipment as occasionally they go pick up towels. Tim is the only person I have ever seen wipe down equipment and Ive been an active member for the last 6 years.Please adress this.

Great facility. Everything I needed

I went here for years, and between the steam room and indoor pool; it has set a bar that no other gym has been able to meet. Excellent equipment, friendly staff, clean equipment, etc . . . But I had to give up my membership because of the ~75/month cost. If you can afford it and dont mind a busy gym between 5 and 7pm, this is the best place to exercise in the area.

Very honest staff they were very helpful the whole while I was a member. Very open about if you no longer wanted to be a member. I would suggest to anybody Avera. Their classes are very interactive the staff come to learn and know you by name.

Large, clean gym with alot of different equipment. They offer a multitude of classes. The locker/shower area provides large towels and complimentary amenities: shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, bodywash, lotion, mouthwash and hairdryer. Childcare available for an additional monthly fee.

Actually a really good gym, facilities are really nice-the only thing was the expense, which is fine when you know what youre getting into. Well I couldnt afford it anymore and cancelled my membership on the 3rd of July, when they said they pull money from your bank account on the 5th. Well then they said that it was already being processed, so I had another payment due, which is annoying but fine. So I kept the due amount in my bank account. Never saw it come out of my account for the whole month of July-assumed the girl didnt know what she was talking about and my membership in fact got cancelled. In August I find that my account has been emptied and I have been charged overdraft fees, why? Oh because your July payment was never paid well youre the ones with access to my account why didnt you pull it? You didnt have enough money in there nope I looked over my billing and sure enough I have more than enough to pay your steep $71. So I am just curious as to why you waited a month to pull my money?I just say dont do it, good gym, but its such a headache if you ever wanted to cancel.

A piece of crap facility. Outdated equipment. Staff is rude, facility is extremely dirty. There is a documented case of athletes foot from poor floor sanitation. I would never workout there again. It takes forever to cancel your membership once you sign on. I know several employees that are very unhappy with how the housekeeping depth is ran.
