After years of struggling with reading, we went to Camden Learning Center and our prayers were answered! Not only is our daughter now reading at grade level but she also has the confidence that she hasnt had in years! We are so grateful!

While the tutor was helpful, I was extremely disappointed in the management. Although I had 2 conversations with the owner and 1 with another staff member, before attending, I heard nothing about an Enrollment Fee. I was only quoted the tutoring fee. It was not until the morning of the first appointment that this fee was mentioned (in a voicemail). After speaking with the owner twice and then setting the first 4 appointments for two students, we went to the first appointment for Biology (2 students, one in Honors Bio and the other in CP Bio). I had specified that we wanted to tutor for the EOC, which was the same for both students. Then the second appointment was for math (1 student). Pat, the owner came to me after the second appointment and explained that the Biology was not going to work because each student had different online items from EOC practice and that there are 2 different tests for Honors and CP. She did not know what she was talking about. We had been through all of this prior to setting any appointments. I reitterated what I had described while we were setting appointments. One student is in Honors and the other in CP. The EOC tests are the same. The informatiion from which they would be studying was all downloaded and brought with us. They were practice tests from various states from previous years and because I had sat in on the first session, I observed that the tutor and the students had no issues with any of this. When I tried to confirm the following weeks appintments, Pat told me that we did not have any scheduled. I understood from her explaining earlier that the schedule would be different our first week because one of the regular appointments had cancelled, but that our second week and following weeks would be different. So we scheduled the first two weeks accordingly and decided to wait and see what became available after that. The owner stated that there were no openings and that she had not scheduled us. This occurred once she did not agree with my wanting to observe how the sessions were being run. I explained that I would not need to continue attending on a regular basis, but I needed to ensure that the tutor was indeed providing what my students needed, as well as my being able to fill in any gaps in between the following appointments. The tutor did not appear to mind, but the owner made excuses. There were no other students in the tutoring area when we were there and I was an unobtrusive observer, until thanking the tutor at the end. On the second session, although we arrived 10 min early, they took us back 5 min. late and then the tutor had to attend to something with the previous student and the owner before he was able to get started with my student. He came back, starting 8 min. late (6:08). When the tutor attempted to end the second session at 7:00, I asked if he could go over one more problem since he got started late. He agreed, but the owner made sure to announce that his next student was arriving. It was after this that she suddenly had no further appointments for us. She stated that she would call me the next week if something came available. When I got home and confirmed that we already had appointments on my calendar for the coming week, I called the center, leaving a message with the owners husband, but the owner never called me back. I went elsewhere for further tutoring.

Mrs. Patricia is awesome she really knows how to teach my daughter and she uses old school techniques that work.
