Fred and his crew did a great job on removing my diseased 60+ yr old white oak tree.. They came on time.. worked at a great pace.. took less than 3 hours for this big tree to come down.. I will be calling on Fred again for some tree trimming.. Kudo’s to Econo Tree Man!!

Fred was fantastic. He removed 5 full sized Leyland Cyprus from my hill and two Cleveland Pears. He did a quick and thorough job and he has the machinery to do so. His price was fair and he honored it 6 months after he quoted me. I was recommend and use him again

Back on April 15, 2021, Fred came and gave me a quote to remove a tree in my backyard and grind the stump, leaving the Estimate in my mailbox. On June 30, he finally showed up to do the job only to assess the situation and then refused to do it. Claiming that it was impossible to do the job without removing our front fence. (Mind you Duke Power had just accessed the same area to do some cutting around and between the power lines on the same tree. They had no trouble and did the job from the front without demanding we destroy our fence.) Remember, Fred came by and gave us a quote two months prior to the work. I decided to go with him because he had done some trimming for us prior to this. He has the same bucket truck that Duke Power has. And yet when he arrived, he said several times that he didnt quote me a high enough price and that hed left $1000 out of the estimate. He was upset. And then packed up all of his equipment and left never to return to complete the job he said he would do for the estimated amount. He was mad. Ive never seen a Marine back out on a commitment and obligation like that. It was very sad and disappointing. We wont be using Econo Tree Man again. And I do not recommend his services to anyone. If he decides he doesnt like his own estimated quote, that he should have taken time to assess when he gave me the original quote, hell walk off the job. Ive never known any Marine to do that. Shameful. And it wasnt 21 texts I received from him. (That would have included the previous work he did for us. Thats an overstatement.) He also said that he would throw in those two trees if we gave him the job, so I decided to go with him. I didnt make that a condition upon getting the job. Remember he already gave me the quote two months earlier, supposedly having looked carefully at the tree we were wanting to take down, and then gave me the quote. Maybe he didnt look as carefully as others who had also quoted me on the job prior to me awarding him the work. There is no excuse, safety or otherwise, for not living up to his quoted obligation. If he couldnt do the job for safety reasons, he certainly never told me that up front. And then to finally show up and refuse to do the work is what is extremely sad and unprofessional.

Contacted Econo Tree Man to remove a dying tree from our front yard. Mary Lee was so accommodating with my work schedule, and didnt hesitate texting me when needed (which is great for me). Got the quote, the tree and stump were removed in seven days, and the site was left tidy. They left a few business cards as per my request, for I will be referring them both personally and professionally.

I contacted Fred for a quote to remove a number of pine trees that were within range of my house. I was given a fair quote and scheduled the work. All work was performed promptly and to my satisfaction. Great guy who does a great job and will be using Econo Tree Man in the future.

Fred and his guys did a great job. He provided a reasonable quote a day after being contacted, and started within the week. The ground was extremely wet due to all of the recent rain, but they did were able to minimize the damage to my lawn as much as possible. Clean up was very good considering the amount of debris created by the large 4 Leyland cypress they removed. I would use them again and do recommend the tree guy.

Fred and his crew took down a huge oak tree at the corner of my house that was partially overhanging the house. They arrived on time, took the whole tree down safely, hauled it all away and ground the stump. They accomplished all this in three and a half hours. They did an excellent job for a fair price. We were so pleased with this service. I needed to remove two trees in my back yard. Both trees were over 30 feet tall. It was difficult to get back there and the trees were located on a sloping hill very close to our neighbors yards. We were given fair estimates and Fred even cleaned up some of our other tree clippings. About a week later another tree in our front yard split in half during a rain storm. This, too, was in a difficult place in our yard. It was cleaned so well, I did not know there was a tree there previously.

Had a tree fall over my driveway. They came out an hour later in the pouring rain to clear the drive. Came back the next day to finish the job. Highly professional. Took a look at the other trees to make sure none of the others were a problem. Will definitely use him again as needed.

This is the second job Fred and his crew has completed for me. He has done an amazing job on both jobs. He did exactly what I wanted done and his crew cleaned up after the job was over. I would recommend the Econo Tree Man to anyone!

Stay away from this outfit. They will quote you one thing and do another. I should have known better when Freddie was 3 hours late to our appointment for the quote. Freddie said that he was a certified arborist and he knew how to properly trim our crepe myrtles and maple trees. Freddie did not do any of the work. He left it to a crew who did nothing but trim the branches they could reach from the ground. He said that they would have to climb the trees to trim them. They did no climbing. The trees looked essentially the same as they did before the trimming. When I called Freddie to take about it , he said that his crew spent 4 hours at our house. They spent a total of 45 minutes to trim 7 trees. I had told Freddie that I would not be home. But my wife was home and verified that they only spent 45 minutes here. I was charged $550. He originally quoted $850. I negotiated a lower price, but it was supposed to be for the same levelOf service. $550 for 45 minutes of work is outrageous. Steer clear of the Econo Tree Man.

Econo Tree Man did an excellent job. They have done over 3 large jobs at out property over the last year or so. I initially called 3 tree companies to get quotes. The first two just tried to rip me off. Econo Tree Man was less than half of the other companies. I felt he offered an excellent price for the work. What a professional setup. Rare to find these days. They came immediately and helped cut some branches free of charge just to help us clear our driveway. We agreed a price and they returned in less than 24 hours and had our huge tree removed, mulched and the total area cleaned in just over an hour. Amazing. Very professional, trimmed the two +100 ft red oak trees at the price quoted. Had other tree services look at the job and decline because the trees were so close to the house.
