The fireplace is beautiful and beyond what I imagined. I purchased the Cosmo unit with driftwood and quartz rocks and reflecting back. It anchors a tall wall with sturdy yet graceful ease and the reflected light throws a warm glow to the room. On lowest setting, the fireplace easily keeps us cozy in a large space. Technician was right on time. He took a quick assessment of my fireplace and gas logs and then explained what would be required for my tune up. He quickly checked the pilot and got the system started. He noted the burner needed to be adjusted and additional embers needed to be added. He cleaned all the soot off the logs and made all the suggested adjustments to the set up. The fire looked perfect and was nice and clean burning flames. He kept everything nice and clean and tidied up the hearth and surrounding area. I had chimney.cop come to repair the top and siding of my chimney. Specifically Dave and Juan. I was extremely dissatisfied to hear that I had to pay hundreds of dollars for someone to look at my gas fire place. On their webpage it says FREE ESTIMATE on the GAS FIREPLACE PAGE. The operator said that was not true and I say it was MISLEADING! Also, if all you want is a chimney sweep they force an inspection on you (probably to get more business) and I found one (Living Wells Chimney Services) at HALF THE PRICE Of theirs who did a great job.

I just wish I had another chimney so that I could this business again! This was one of the most seamless and professional experiences Ive ever had with a company. Brandon nailed it when he did the level 2 inspection - he showed me as he was doing the inspection where the problem areas were, came up with a reasonable estimate for the work and one week later, Carlos and his team came and did everything in one day. Left the place spotless, both inside and outside the house. They were a pleasure to have around to do the work. And after they left, within 15 minutes, I had a fire going, the smoke went where it was supposed to, I had my scotch in hand, my music turned on and a great book to read! We got an estimate for chimney re-lining from another company, and I asked chimney.com for a second opinion. I definitely recommend their services.ORIGINAL POST: The Chimney Technician was very polite, and arrived on time. He told me it wouldnt take long to clean our chimney, and he was right. It only took him about 1/2 hour at most.HOWEVER, after I paid and he left I went into our living room and discovered that EVERYTHING WAS COVERED IN A LIGHT LAYER OF BLACK SOOT. All the furniture had to be wiped down, the hardwood floors vacuumed and mopped, the couch and chair cushions vacuumed, and books and knick-knacks wiped down. Ive attached a photo of my foot after walking in the Living Room. This was just not acceptable. I even asked before the cleaning if I needed to move anything or cover anything and was told no.

WE are very pleased with this company, their employees and their finished replacement of 2 flues in our 100 year old chimney. Reece was our initial contact person and came out 2 different time to get all the info need for a complete an accurate estimate (which they totally honored). This was necessary because of the extensive deterioration of the title within the chimney. Then Dave and Juan came out to do the work, They were punctual, tidy and careful so the mess was far less that I anticipated. They were through in their work and clean-up both. We were really impressed that Dave took time to answer all our questions, and even did a couple extra things for us the was certainly not required like installing a new set of fire place mesh curtains that we had purchased. I recently used Chimney.com for a complex job on a 1947 house. I would give them ten stars if I could. The job involved lining the chimney and fixing a tricky venting situation, as well as plumbing and roof modifications to make it all work. Everything was in tight spaces due to the age of the house. Chimney.com won our business over other companies for the following reasons. First, Shawn was the ONLY estimator who actually got in the crawl space and looked at the issues, instantly earning my trust. I only needed my pilot to turn on and the fireplace serviced since the previous renter never turned it on and want to make sure everything is working fine. Technician came, turn on the pilot, lifted a piece of metal covering the outside vent, and charged me $275???!!!!!!I was told thats the standard charge for the service because they had to drive from MD (so I am paying for their time to drive to my home). The company told me they have solved a problem and made the proper diagnosis, hence the high fees. In fact, the technical never said it was a problem, but only told the renters not to put the metal on the outside vent when the fireplace is on. After MUCH negotiation, I was charged $250.NOT recommenced for the high fee and their spin on the service.

Fantastic service. Shawn was the tech who quickly identified the issue with our gas logs. He performed a tune-up which corrected the problem. He is very knowledgeable, nice and courteous. We will definitely use him again.

I was referred to this company by a great friend, they were completely booked, I asked the wonderful girl that answers the phone and runs the show to service my 3 gas fireplaces, she told me they were completely booked and 1st available would be 1st week of November, she reached out to the owner, 3 days later the owner of the company on Saturday came out and made my fireplaces brand new, professional, and courteous I would highly recommendThanks jimmy

The first technician that came to assess what was wrong was great as well, although I don’t remember his name. Overall seems to be a great company with great workers and service!

I used chimney.com for my gas fireplace. I was having issues with the pilot light and ultimately decided to replace my outdated burner. All of the staff are very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. Shawn was my gas technician and he was outstanding. The installation was done efficiently and he was extremely good humored. Highly recommend this company! After 30 years of using a woodstove to heat our home, and my husband performing chimney sweep duties twice a year, it was time to upgrade. Brandon came out to look things over and was very personable and knowledgeable. We particularly liked that he took the time to explain everything that needed to be done and how it would be done. We were amazed at how quickly he was able to schedule the work. Dave and Juan came out a week later --I cant say enough about the job they did. They were very professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and quick! A job we expected to take most of the day was complete within 3.5 hours. Dave had to modify the stainless steel plate my husband put in years ago, then did a mechanical cleaning of the chimney and installed a stainless steel liner with a T at the bottom for easy cleanout and made sure the woodstove was realigned correctly--Dave explained everything clearly so my husband knew how to best maintain. Ask for Dave and Juan for great service!

Dave and Lyle were very knowledgeable and professional while doing some masonry repairs on my chimney. They did take their shirts off while completing the repairs, and much to my disappointment, they put them back on prior to leaving. I definitely enjoyed the view. 5 stars.

Highly recommend. In drafting the estimate, they dont blow smoke about work that doesnt have to be done and they give you a fair price. Shawn, Dave, Lyle and Kevin performed the work within the timeframe promised and on budget. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the end result. Set up appointment to clean chimney using on-line form, they called back the next business day and made appointment for two days later. Arrived on time with mask, went right to work, showed me what they got out of the chimney (a fair pile of soot) and then cleaned it up. Better price than what I have paid in the past. One photo shows up the chimney before cleaning, other after cleaning where you can see mortar lines and some bare white brick further up the flue.

My chimney had issues I did not know about.The maintenance technicians found cracks, leaks, etc. and fixed them all. The cost would have been enormous if I had to deal with a tragedy. Sean, Lyle and Drew were wonderful to work with. They were extremely professional and courteous even when there were some issues with our chimney design. They communicated with us throughout the project, worked hard to finish in a timely manner and cleaned up after the work was complete. This was by far the best experience we’ve had with home improvement.
