This place is nice, it’s clean, and is easy to navigate and the workers are kind. all though my nails came out great, the wait was fairly a wait, especially because i had an appointment scheduled for 2:45 and was serviced nearly an hour later. the nails came out really cute, and my tech did a great job. if you’re looking for a nice place to get your nails done, star nails is where it’s at.

This was my first time going here, and the girl who did my nails did a fantastic job I habe litteraly nothing to complain about. This is the night before my homecoming and I couldnt of asked for a better place to do my nails!

I felt safe! It was busy but I didnt have to wait long. They charge a $1 for the buffer and file but you bring it back with you (safety first) The lady that did my nails was nice and professional she shaped my nails perfectly I wish I got her name. And the prices were decent.

Had an appointment at 11 and didnt get helped till after 11:45 but only because I asked and I find out that they wrote my name wrong so I was called but didnt realize it. Sat me down at a pedicure chair but had to wait another 15 minutes to have someone actually start. Then when done had to wait another 10 minutes for my manicure. Would not have been a big deal but I had a wedding I had to be at 4. Got no chip which chiped the nexted day on 1 nail and the 3 more nails chiped the following day.

I have been going to Star Nails since they opened! My girl is Tammy, she is Awesome! Katlyn was there my last visit, love seeing her, and of course Tommy the Owner is always Cool! Lots of techs & chairs!

Huge salon, which i liked. Im one of those weirdos that doesnt like so much quiet 🙃. I was there for about an hour. As a mom of three, this was the perfect amount of me time. The tech did an excellent job, and it was very affordable for me.

I made an appointment at 12:30 and sat and waited for 45 minutes before they called me back. There’s no point in even making an appointment. Then whoever did my nails rushed through them.Wouldn’t recommend, there are so many better places

I work in an office where several women go to star nails. I’ve been going for 3 years. Recently past 3 months my no chip is chipping within 5 days after getting them done. A girl in my office is having same issue. When I went back, I was told they are not made of steel. Person was rude.and said it happens. I will take my $ somewhere else from now on. It’s a shame they are using a cheeper products. Because I really did like this place.

I normally don’t ever write a review on a business.But with this place i had to, I am really upset with my full set I got a week ago . The same day one of nails popped off!! So I called and told them I needed to come in to get a nail fix. ( super thin) So I came the very same day, by the way my nail tech was Henry NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! It’s funny how he took almost 2 hrs and 10 minutes to do my full set acrylic no chip But literally took 7 mintues to fix one broken nail.My nails as of now look like I’ve had them on for at least 4 weeks two broken ones they are so bad .I paid $65 for them .Plz stay away from this place and if you do end up going as an emergency plz!!!! don’t let them seat you down with Henry.

Short version: clean salon, excellent service, great atmosphere, and maybe rarest feature of all: choice to drink wine during manicure!!! Great area in salon to host parties.Long version, lol: Ive used this nail salon for at least 15 years, after trying several other great salons in the area.. Any other salon I went to I either gave me cleanliness concerns, bad service, or a poorly done manicure. This will be the only nail salon I go to and the only one Ive ever or will recommend to friends and family.They are always busy (for good reason). Id recommend making an appointment, especially if youre looking to get your nails done regularly, but an appt is NOT required and the wait usually isnt long for walk-ins. They added on to the salon and added an area thats more private to host parties (think bachelorette or part of girls birthday party).It is very clean, organized, and has a relaxing atmosphere. Staff turn over seems pretty low, which speaks towards their management. Many of the same employees have been there since I started going. The 1 or 2 times I had bad manicures I let them know within a day or so, and they were happy to re-do the manicure. If you arent happy with it when youre there let them know and give a chance to have them fix it.

This was my first time getting my nails done professionally. For the longest time I’ve been wanting to but nervous that I’d have a horrible first experience anywhere. I had a wonderful time and will definitely come back. Everyone was so professional, helpful, and friendly! I brought a picture because I didn’t know much manicure language but she was patient and helped me understand everything! Left and right I kept hearing different customers say to their nail tech that they “loved their nails” or “wow this turned out great!”. Highly recommend!

This place was incredible! The service was super friendly and my nail tech did a flawless job on my toes! He massaged my legs so well I almost fell asleep in the chair because of how relaxed I was. He was so friendly and really made me feel welcome. It was immaculately clean in there. I walked out of there very impressed and pleased. HIGHLY recommend the volcano pedicure for those of you who are constantly on your feet.

DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT go to this facility unless you want to be truly disappointed. I’ve gone here with my mother several times now, and I have received the worst service each, and every time. Not only do they rush you out the door, but they are so quick to rush through their work that it’s insane. The first time I went I got a full set with acrylic nails and within a week majority of my nails we’re falling off which has never happened before so I figured I’d give them them the benefit of the doubt. For my birthday, I came once again, and got my nails done and the same thing happened again. I was furious. Never have I ever gotten a full set of nails, and they have only lasted a week. I don’t know if they use cheap products, or a different powder, but something is not working. Then not to mention my pedicure was awful. I got a basic pedicure, and they did not even scrub the dead skin off of my feet at all. I was furious. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

If you dont have standards, this is the place for you.

I went to star nails and made an appointment for a full acrylic set with regular nail polish. On their website and acrylic full set with regular nail polish is supposed to be $25. When I got there for my appointment I picked out my nail polish. Before I started my appointment I was told that I need to buy a nail buffer in a nail file for one dollar. I did not understand this because when you pay for nail service that is included in the price. The gentleman that did my nails rush through my appointment when there was no one waiting in the waiting room, my nails turned out lumpy, there was paint on my skin, they were on even the shape was not the same on all the nails. When I went to pay I was charge $31 for my nail appointment. When I only got an acrylic full set with regular nail polish I did not understand why I was being charged extra. I feel that this business is not professional and they’re contradicting with their prices online and what they charge you. I would not recommend to anyone going there. When I called and asked for a refund they said that they do not do refunds. I told them that I had to go to a completely different nail salon and get my nails fixed. So instead of making one trip to the nail salon today I made two trips to do two different nail salons.

What I had asked for vs what I recieved. I told Lynn or Lisa that that was exactly what I wanted. She proceeded to round my nails. These are my real nails. They were barely shorter than what I has asked for at the start. The woman that did my nails also pulled on my arm repeatedly. I understand that my fingers have to be in the right position though she was aggressive with it. I will not return. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I get my nails done about once a month and never have I been this disappointed with the outcome. My nails are thick and bumpy. Absolutely do not suggest.

I waited for 15 minutes to get my eyebrows waxed. The placed was jammed and people were very close to each other. I ended up leaving because I got tired of waiting.

Asked for gel overlay… was charged the same price for a full set of gel nails. Upon arrival, I asked for regular paint, the lady at the front desk gave me gel and charged me extra for it.

I’ve been hoping around different nail places, and I found star nails to be one of the better ones. I didn’t religiously go there. My experience on Thursday was amazing. I got home really happy with my nails, keep in mind this was a brand new set, & how friendly my nail technician was. I did notice that they don’t really have a set price, and that the nail technicians lie about the prices quite a bit. Anyway, I got home and pulled up my jeans, two of my nails broke. Overnight a third one broke, I went back the next day & explained how he must’ve done them too thin because they just bent right off. The ladies at the front desk told me it was because my “nail beds are really small” I’ve never been told that before, and have never had a problem getting acrylics either. I just ignored the comment & continued on, got them fixed and went home. Then later that night another one broke! Not the ones that I got fixed, so it clearly isn’t because my nail beds are too small but rather the acrylic wasn’t put on thick enough to support the length of the nails. Do I recommend them for continuous nails? No, but if you’re getting them done for prom & a certain event they’d be fine as long as you expect them to break off.

If you need dip done, Nick is the best. They are filed evenly, they last 3-4 weeks and his attention to detail is impeccable. Everyone at the salon is very nice, it is always super clean and they also play the best music.

The nail techs are so nice, gentle and thorough. I went in with my mom to have a relaxing time and I had so much fun!!! We laughed when they scrubbed our feet and talked and talked. My nail tech we so kind and nice. I definitely recommend this place to ppl who wanna have a fun time. I was getting my toe nails pain andI asked for a sloth on my big toe and it looked AMAZING 🥳🥳🥳!!! 10/10 RECOMEMD!!🥰The only thing I would say needs improvement is their timing. We scheduled a 12 “o” clock appointment and it didn’t start till about 15-20 minutes later, but I understand they are busy😋!!! IF YOUR GETTING A PEDICURE I RECOMMEND GNE DELUEX!!! We got the regular procedures AND and lavender leg and foot scrub with a hot and relaxing was shoe bag thing. I don’t know exactly what it’s called but it felt nice!!! Have fun and make it ur own.

I was told on the phone prior to my visit that there would be a $5 fee to get a design on my already painted nails. The design I wanted was a simple cow print just to let you all know. I also discussed this with the woman on the phone as well as me wanting this design on all of my fingers. Arriving to the shop thinking that I would be paying the $5 turned out to be completely false. When I walked into the shop I was not greeted at all and had to be the first to approach the woman after already making eye contact for a good 15 seconds. After approaching her I told how Im the person who called a couple minutes ago about the design I wanted and she began to show numerous nail techs the photo reference but for some odd reason NO ONE had a set price. I GOT 4 DIFFERENT PRICES. At first they were saying $5 then when I arrived they said $7 THEN the woman I sat down with tried to tell me it would be $35 when I was already told it would be $5 and $7! After hearing this ridiculous price I was ready to leave but I was then stopped by ANOTHER nail tech saying he’ll do it for $30 and after I declined he then said how about $25. This place has no set price at all and you will get scammed. The reason for the high charge apparently is because I would have to have an entire new paint job because there was a clear top coat on my nails. I can tell you right now that this was a complete excuse to get my money and the crazy thing is, I painted the design MYSELF when i got home and it turned out COMPLETELY FINE. This was a complete waste of gas and time and this was my first time setting foot in here. I will not be returning.

I got a set of nails put on this Friday. Today is Monday and they look like they’ve been on for 2 weeks already. The guy put the nails on SO far from my cuticles making it look like I haven’t gotten them done. If I could give zero stars I would. Not only was the nail far from my cuticle my nails are UNEVEN and not what I asked for. I was rushed out of there in 30 minutes. I’ve been a loyal customer for almost 3 years now and I will never return. Disappointed with how downhill this place has gone.

So today was my 3rd time here but after the experience I don’t feel comfortable going back. As I sat and got my nails done a gentleman who worked in the salon stated he liked my hair. Ok cool right? No. He proceeded to grab my braids, while laughing and continuing to do so. I’ve never had that happen to me before and I felt completely uncomfortable and degraded. You like my braids cool, but I’m not a petting zoo , I feel like you can compliment someone and still respect their personal space, And for that I just don’t feel comfortable going back.

Omg, let just start by saying I’ve been coming here since I was in high school and I’m now a senior in college. I’ve had my ups and downs with this place (recently it’s been more downs). Some techs have made me feel rushed or they alter my ideal nail shape and I basically had to start growing them all over again which was really disheartening. I tried a no chip for the first time as my last ditch effort before I parted ways with them. My nail tech was Danny and he was very sweet! We had some conversation and even laughed a little which was weird because I’m used to the silent treatment when getting my nails done. He really paid attention to detail and even made some suggestions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. He completely changed the game for me there lol 😂. From now on I’m sticking with Danny for my no chips because he’s amazing 😊

I came in for a no chip and polish change on my toes. I also wanted a flower on one nail on my fingers and a flower on my big toes. No one has a clue how to do a design of any kind. Just wanted a simple flower. No one apparently speaks much English either as i could get them to understand what i wanted. I got the flower but so upset how they look. Could have had a 5 yr old do better. I’m going to Florida and wanted to have nice nails. Won’t come back!

The skin surrounding two different nails was filed raw to the point of bleeding. To stop the bleeding, the tech dabbed my still-bleeding fingers with glue in attempt to stop the bleeding. You know, the same tube of glue used on EVERYONE for acrylic sets. Super sanitary. Makes me wonder what else nasty is done here.

Had a gel manicure peel off so went to start nails for basic manicure. It took 10 minutes and when done , my nails had tiny bumps on them. Not smooth at all. When I mentioned it to the manager?, he said that sometimes that happens and asked if would like them buffed. This was my third time at the salon and I have been disappointed before so I left. He still charged me for the terrible manicure. Many people have told me to stop going there because it’s not going to get better.I will have to find a good manicurist.

I went on Saturday to get my nails and eyebrows done, nails were perfect and my eyebrows still looked the same. 24-48 hours later a nail fell off. The soonest I could get in was tonight when I got off work. When I called to ask if I had to pay for a repair, I got the 3rd degree and played 50 questions. So I arrive and sit down with a lady, who rushed through to get it done. I kept telling the lady that I had coffin shaped nails and she kept looking at my other nails. I walked out with a square nail, irritated as ever. I will never be going back

Taylor is great. She does pedicures for me which at times is difficult as my ankle does not allow a flat surface to rest toes on. She is patient and does a wonderful job!

Went with my 2 daughters. My oldest was getting a manicure, while my youngest and I got pedicures. I wasnt sitting near my oldest when she got a manicure, but it turned out horrible. The second coat of nail polish doesnt cover the first in spots, and her thumb already chipped. Theres also nail polish on the cuticle of some of her fingers.

Had a no chip manicure yesterday. Had to go back this morning because one of my nails bubbled. The girl who fixed it said it did not dry under the lights. It was wet underneat as she removed the layers. Doing dishes a little while ago and polish on another nail peeled off..was wet underneath also. So cant make it back tomorrow but on Monday have to go back again to have that nail fixed. Ridiculous. This isnt the first time Ive had to go back for a fix after getting nails done. Its happened the last 2 times I had a manicure. Time to look for another place.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kay yesterday and she did awesome. Pricing comparable with other salons. There were a lot of mani and pedi stations, it would be perfect for a group of friends to all meet after work. Kay was very nice and we chatted the entire time. I would recommend this place. I went on a Tuesday morning in December and it wasn’t too busy. Oh and did I mention they can do glitter, chrome in lots of colors or nail art for a nominal fee.

Trinity is the best with my nails. She always takes her time to do it right. She does my pedicure along with a no chip gel full se or fill in. Always happy with the job she does!

I came in for a regular pedicure and a full set no chip, and was over charged by Ryan . Was suppose to be $65 like I’m always charged , and I got charged $75. Charged me $35 for a BASIC PEDICURE. Which is suppose to be $25, then 40 for my nails which is fine. I asked him about it and he made up excuses as to why he charged me more

This place is huge compared to the nail salon that I go to by my house in Arlington Heights. Theyve over 20+ people working and the wait is never too long. Theyve great nail polish selections to choose from.I got the gel manicure which was $35. My nail technician did a great job with the manicure and took his time. He was also very friendly and loved to talk.This place also seemed like the most popular nail salon in the city since most of all their workers were working around 10AM.I would come back if I am in the area.

They fit me in really last minute...1/2 hr before they were to close. There were still a TON of customers in chairs and no one was being rushed out. The lady that did my nails was GREAT! Will definitely go back!

The salon is great, stylists are excellent, very clean salon. The only thing is the front desk girls are rude but that doesnt bother me at all, I only mention it so they dont ruin your first impression and you go elsewhere. (They dont do your nails anyways!) Salon definitely deserves 5 stars!

I started coming here for the dip powder manicures. Casie is THE BEST at this! She has perfected the technique and is very knowledgeable. Her friendly nature makes the experience so relaxing.

They rush on your nails and I got mine done on Wednesday and they broke Thursday I waited to get them fixed till today (saturday) because of thanksgiving and Black Friday, they they tried to charge me after my nails broke earlier then they were supposed to and all I did was pick up my cat. Terrible service and very rude. Then when I went to go get them fixed they were rushed and didn’t turn out how they originally looked and the nail tech slapped a bunch of nail polish on my nails and now it looks lumpy and there are ridges in them.

The customer service was TERRIBLE as well as the owners! I told the nail technician from the beginning that I was unhappy with how she cut & shaped my nails & she totally disregarded what I told her. At the end I paid for the service & let the owners know that I was unhappy & asked if I could come back to get my nails fixed the way that I wanted them. Initially the female owner agreed & let the male owner know & he said no because his technician spent 2 hrs on my nails. At that point I asked for my money back because he was out of line. We got into a huge argument where he continued to disrespect me & use vulgar language while other customers were in the shop. He told me not to ever come back & threatened to call the cops on me all because I was unhappy with the service. After 20 minutes of arguing they finally gave me my money back & asked me never to return. The way he spoke to me was totally disrespectful & I will never step foot in that shop again. Very bad experience as a first time customer! So unfortunate because Ive heard how great the shop is, but the experience I had today says otherwise! I would NEVER recommend this shop to anyone!👎🏽

I had a great experience. They had free coke and water as well as beer and wine available. It was a busy place but my wait was less than 5 minutes. Lisa did my nails she did a great job. It was a simple French manicure.

I’m frustrated, I went in on Saturday and had my old nails replaced with a full set, $50. Mind you it’s Monther’s Day weekend and not their problem but my son’s birthday is the very next day. I popped in on Wednesday & explained that my index fingernail broke on Saturday evening. My full set was put on Saturday morning. I don’t have time for a bunch of things but I’m willing to work with them. But I have upcoming surgeries scheduled, and I work full time. I don’t have time to keep running back there. It’s just annoying! Very annoying that the brand new set you had put on on Saturday didn’t last through Wednesday!

Really just depends on the technician you get. Ive had good and okay experiences here. Find the technician you like and stick with them.

I’ve been here and had some really great experiences because there are some super awesome nail techs here!!!!! BUT I just got a 15 minute pedicure........lol I don’t know about you but to ME a pedicure is something that should be a nice relaxing experience for AT LEAST 30 minutes or so. That’s the whole reason I wanted one!! Very disappointed :/ (and my toenails are crooked) I am unsure of what the lady’s name even was because she didn’t say one word to me. Sucks I just wasted 25$ for the shittiest pedicure I’ve ever had.
