We messaged Bartlett due to some concerns that we had for our live oaks. Shannon came out, explained exactly what was going on (with those trees and others), and made recommendations on what to do to make sure our trees thrive. They applied fertilizer to our trees. Before trimming anything they asked questions, did a walk-around with me to discuss exactly what I wanted and did not want, would ask me to come out and take a look to confirm I liked the results Everything looks fantastic - from our palms, to our oaks and crepe myrtles - absolutely no crepe murder committed!! We wanted to let you know that Mikell and Brandon did a great job removing the red maple that Shannon identified as diseased and dying, as well as trimming up the canopies of our oaks and hickory. They were very professional and thoroughly cleaned up all the debris. Before they left, they checked to be sure we were satisfied with their work and took the time to trim off a few more small oak limbs that were hanging over our vehicles.If we need tree trimming and/or removal in the future, we will certainly call on you again.

Bartlett is a very well-established firm. Their employees are knowledgeable and quickly did the fertilization for our live oak trees. Their cost is very reasonable and if you are interested in preserving and protecting your investment in trees, they should be first on your list of firms to consider.

Neighbor and I are going halves on having a large tree either debranched or removed. A few years ago I had three large pines removed and the stumps ground for $3500.00 (using a different company)My neighbor got a quote from Bartlett and forwarded me the PDF. They are asking $1728 to have three branches removed. Thats nearly $600 per branch.... Unbelievable. They want $3126.00 to remove the tree. I am requesting other quotes and believe I will find a company to remove the entire tree for around $1500.00Do yourself a favor and get multiple quotes.

Seth, Mike and Anthony all came out and did a fantastic job. This is my 3rd time using Bartlett and will definitely have them out again.They always do a walk around with me to make sure I am satisfied before theyve go. Every phase of the work, survey, proposal, and performance was performed professionally with a personal touch. Knowledge of trees and there care was communicated and the site looked so much better when they left. As storm season approaches we feel more secure.

Shannon and his team were outstanding. Colbie and David cut down the tree quickly, safely and were all around good guys. The gentleman that ground the stump also did a good job. Shannon came a couple days later and removed the roots himself. Im happy with the job they did and would recommend them to anyone.

For the 3rd or 4th time over several years, I have had Bartlett Tree Experts visit my home to trim my trees and/or treat my magnolias for disease. Each experience has been excellent. They offer courteous, timely customer service. Shannon initially walked my large yard and discussed my concerns and made recommendations. Michael, Christian and Dan performed the trimming work and were very professional and caring. I do not know the name of the gentleman that came to treat my magnolias but he also was service oriented and thorough. I will continue to rely on Bartlett Tree Experts for the care of my trees and readily recommend their services to all!

Bartlett worked on all 4 of my trees and did a great job on removing the dead limbs, removing overgrowth, getting them away from my home and raising the height from branches to ground. They cleaned up my yard thoroughly and were very careful around my shrubs and house. Very courteous folks, explained everything they were doing and did it all for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Bartlett Tree did a great job pruning & shaping my trees. A few of the trees had limbs over my roof. They removed those and shaped and cleaned up several others. I couldnt be happier with the result. Jacob & Anthony were on time, cleaned up before leaving, and just did an all around great job for me!

Bartlett has done work on our Live Oak trees on Dutch Island and in Pooler. Excellent work by professional and courteous team including Seth, Jake, Michael and crew. Cost is higher than most but quality of work and safety considerations by team make it worth the extra cost. Good recommendations for tree health as well as trimming and cleanup.

The professionals at Bartlett Tree Experts, with no notice, came the day I called and did an excellent job pruning my crepe myrtle and palm trees before new sod was laid. Their talent was clear in the results. A job very well done!

Johnny Freeman is hands down, the BEST Arborist that I have worked with. As a property manager, he has been extremely responsive, extremely competitive and extremely knowledgeable. I know that when I call Johnny, hes going to give me a competitive quote. Johnny & Bartlett Tree Experts are not in the business of removing trees for profit. I have seen many other tree removal services that took advantage of natural disasters, purely to make a profit. You will never find that with Johnny or Bartlett Tree Experts.

They removed my trees without any mess or damage, trimmed and anchored my Cedar, plus trimmed up dangerous limbs all in one day. Kind, genial employees who are clearly well trained and knowledgeable.I recommend them to everyone.

Bartlett Tree Experts were called to treat pecan trees, trim an old oak tree with limbs over my grandchildren’s play area as we were concerned for their safety. They also stated they would fertilize that oak tree.During the trimming of the Oak tree, the big trimming truck parked on driveway curbing that had recently been installed. This curbing was broken in many areas that was noticed after the company left. However, we have pictures of the truck anchored on the curbing.Not long after the trimming of the oak tree, a large 4-5 inch dead branch fell in my grandchildren’s play area. After many phone calls and emails, Johnny Freeman, arborist, finally called to say he would come look at the situation. The company returned and very extensively re-trimmed the oak tree. Johnny acknowledged the curbing damage and even indicated the company had fertilized the wrong oak tree. Promises were make to correct the problems, but again after emails, nothing was done. We have been so disappointed and frustrated with less than professional services, communications and resolution to our account. I can not recommend this company for landscaping and/or tree services.

Courteous service, prompt appointment, a solid company. We used them to trim our live oak to protect from strong wind damage, to fertilize, and also to treat several things.

Its been more than a week since Shannon said he would call right back about a tree that was tagged for removal more than a year ago, and 4 days since I called to remind him he was supposed to call me back. What happened to you Shannon? Did a huge red oak tree that is split on both sides crash on your roof and kill you in your sleep!

I had to turn them away because they were very deceptive about what was covered by insurance. They claimed that the incidental damage that they would cause would be covered by insurance and thank God the adjuster came an hour later and told me to drop them like a hot potato!They were going to use a heavy crane without any matting which would rut my lawn, crush my irrigation and God only knows what it would do to my septic.They also said that the insurance company would replace all of the fencing they would cut down and that wasnt true either.I trust them about as far as I could throw their crane. I knew something was fishy when the salesman wouldnt put the incidental damage in writing.

They never answer the phone and they take forever to get back in touch with you. I had an appointment today with them, the guy showed up while I was in the backyard, threw his business card down on my front step and drove away without checking to see if I was here. Now I can’t get him on the phone. Screw this company!

I couldn’t be happier or say enough good things about Bartlett Tree Experts. Their representatives are top notch as far as I am concerned. I have been using them since 2009. This time I dealt with Johnny Freeman, an excellent representative who recommended and explained the work and giving me a price. When I agreed to it, then came the crew. Alex was passionate on the structural shape of my two younger oak trees that are about 10 years old. He took his time pruning and walking around the tree deciding which limbs he should remove and which should stay. While Dalen assisting on the ground and Nicolas, “the squirrel” was in the top of the tree removing the stumps that remained in the large oak. I have used them since 2009 and couldn’t be happier. I also have them scheduled to fertilize my trees and shrubs again this fall which will be 10 years in a row. I can’t say for sure but during Hurricane Irma, both my neighbors lost trees while I did not. I think in part it has been due to the fertilizing that has given the trees a good root structure and held them securely during the wind.I have lived in Savannah since the fall of 2008. I purchased a newly constructed home and by Spring/Summer of 2009, I started noticing the trees not leafing out and the tops dying on the ones that did leaf out. I immediately called Bartlett Trees Experts and their representative came and looked at the trees and it was determined to be damage done during the construction. Compaction of the roots from driving over them and direct damage to roots form digging and installing the sprinkler system etc. The recommendation was to fertilizing the trees and removing dirt from the crown of the trees that had been spread over them to level the yard. This was a tremendous help as I was able to save most of my trees and the ones that had to be removed, I was successful in getting the builder to remove them even though they didn’t want to accept any responsibility for any damage. Quick action calling Bartlett Tree Experts not only saved many of my trees but I was able to document the construction damage to the builder that they caused the trees to die.I have been using Bartlett Tree Experts ever since. They are fertilizing my trees and shrubs, Spring and Fall and I have the best-looking trees in my neighborhood. I advised my neighbors after their homes were built to call Bartlett Tree Experts but most didn’t see the value in it that I did. Most of them lost the majority of their trees and the ones that remain, look bad with a skeleton look and sparse leaf growth.In 2016 when Hurricane Irma came through, I lost several big limbs on a mature oak and again called Bartlett for advice. They trimmed the stumps left behind, fertilized it and the next Spring it looked great.This year, 2018, the same tree that lost it limbs with Hurricane Irma also lost some more limbs from the winds of Hurricane Florence. It’s my belief they were weakened earlier in 2016. I again called Bartlett Tree Experts and their representative, Johnny Freeman came out. This was my first-time meeting Johnny and he was an excellent representative for Bartlett Tree. He took time to go over his recommendations, pointed out why he was making the recommendations and showed me what they were going to do. He was also keenly aware that clients wanted value for my dollars and him taking the time to explain things was an immediate sale for me. He recommended re-trimming the tree and removing the stumps, saying it was better for the trees health and recommended doing some structural pruning on two younger live oaks to thin the limbs and to remove crossing and dead limbs. The crew that came were top notch.

This place is ok, I guess. They were around 4 hours late to show and during that time I kept calling and asking when they would show up and kept getting told 30 minutes. When they finally did show up, the work was not actually the same as what I had discussed with the consultant, but I was in the process of moving and didnt have another entire day to spend waiting for them so I didnt address it.I wrote a negative Google review and received 2 phone calls from this company. During the first call, they waived the cost of the tree trimming, which I definitely appreciate. I was called again this morning asking about this review, so Im changing it to 3 stars from zero.I would give 4 stars if they had waived the fee and if the work they did was what they said they would do, but since the latter is not the case, 3 is fair.
