This place really did help me. I felt the need to write a review after seeing some of the others because Im thinking some of the staff has changed since they were written. (or management or something?) I was here in 2019 and heres my view on it.Almost everyone here really helped me recover and learn how to cope better than ever before. The daily activities ranged from learning classes to understand what we’re going through better all the way to recreation/art classes to stay entertained and get our endorphins and creativity going. The classes allow you to spend the daytime engaged and learning, then you can use your free time at night to reflect on it and apply it to your own life. All of the group leaders were absolutely amazing. Honestly, I hated them on day one (no ones happy on day one..) but the second I decided to actually submerge myself in the therapy and really try- it worked. and I immediately understood how amazing and helpful these people are. They even made sure I was set up for success before I left with appointments in place to maintain a good mental health care regimen. I still use the tips and tools i learned in there on a day to day basis. I am so thankful for this place and the workers who helped save my life.A small few amount of nurses did seem to be there just for the job and were quite insensitive, but if there were nurses on one night that you may not be a fan of, youll have a complete different set the next day most likely.I think this place is amazing and if you really allow yourself to participate and try to better yourself here, you’ll succeed.

A good friend of mine was in need of help. She was sent here for her depression. She got the help she needed. She and I both were appreciative of the staff. Stephen the therapist was very helpful. He was knowledgeable, caring and friendly. Thank you.

You will find very few good things at The Clark Center. The list of concerns with this place is QUITE lengthy, ranging from incompetence to filth! In the midst of a mental health crisis, we had no way of knowing how truly inadequate this place is or we certainly would never have allowed our daughter to be admitted there. To be fair, the therapist I spoke to seemed to be very invested in providing quality care. It is extremely unfortunate that the nursing staff we encountered were lazy, disinterested, unreliable, poorly trained and blatantly rude. The room our daughter was assigned to had visible black mold. The space we were taken to for visiting hour was nothing more than a filthy hallway. The staff person (we have no idea of his name or title) who escorted us to the visiting room was kind enough to drag some chairs out. This program needs to be shut down while it is thoroughly cleaned and the staff fully trained. If you or your family member are in crisis and this is the only place with a bed available, take it and transfer ASAP! However, if you have a choice to go anywhere else, go!!

I was there between 1996 to 2005. Its my belief that security should keep all camera footage for every year some where and not ever throw away any camera footage til after 20 years. I had my items stolen from this facility only once, but the items stolen equated to at least $300.00 in monetary value. My car was locked and should have been safe at the facility. While I was there as a patient, I felt influenced to allow another or others answer for me. My reports later showed inaccuracies that I still need to have corrected. Post trauma and other issues have made it hard for me to get things done faster. I did not get enough one on one counseling. My stay was not better anywhere else which ius why I am givi ng two stars instead of one. This review hopefully allows someone else to make a case and be given a reason to be beliueved in too in case it happened afterwards or happens again later. Thank you for reading my review.
