The last time I was here, the floors were in terrible condition. I like to skate on extremely hard wheels (103A), but these floors make it impossible. It feels like skating over gravel. My suspicions is that the kids with the blades are always power sliding across the floor, therefore scratching it up. Also when the kids do this, theyre always cutting people off. Ive noticed them do it in the big and little rinks and no one controls them. The rink guards are absolutely useless. They might as well not be there. Ive taken it upon myself to travel the extra few miles to go to Taunton, where Forrest Family Fun Center is located and skate on their buttery smooth floors and where the owner seems to have a much better control of the kids. I actually dont mind skating with them. The only good things about Roller World are the staff, and the fact that very few locations have starter/beginner rinks, but even the big kids have taken over that as well and refuse to let people practice there. If youre an adult, stick to adult night.
I wanted to give 5☆, Management should really pay attention to the music they are playing. The place was packed with 3-13 year olds, with the N-word BLARING between 11am-3pm. You should really know your audience. Also, you should have someone there giving free lessons so people come back. Why would a kid that fell 12 times be in a hurry to come back? Last thing, every hour, you should reverse direction using laser arrows on the wall etc, this way people learn to go right too.We had a great time, but I noticed improvements that could easily be made. You want people to come back, right?
Fun place to go spend a few hours with the family. The small side rink is a safe place to practice. The music is not always the best, but I prefer older funk and 80s when Im roller skating. I will be back again.
I enjoyed the music selection and the skating. Both the little and big rink kids were cutting off people and crossing the middle. I didnt mind the speedsters but some was rude pushing people and not being mindful of others around them. Maybe adult night would be best.
Had such a nostalgic and fun night out! Just as good as I remembered. Will definitely be returning soon!
35+ years since my first RollerWorld skating experience, and now Ive skated there with my 11 year old daughter. Still a great time, still a nice and well maintained rink, and RollerWorld is still standing while most places from my childhood have slowly disappeared.
Fun place for kids, if they all could behave
Great place. We go on Adult night 18+ and they let too many people in. One night, there had to be 300 people. Not enjoyable skating defensively and seeing people getting hurt.
The main rink is not a kid or beginner friendly place. No real oversight on crazies speeding all over the place and cutting off beginners. Music is very loud, earplugs recommended. Saw one staff member briefly on the rink but he never checked the kids flying through the beginners. Then he disappeared. Nobody replaced him. Its a free for all and not safe for young kids. But there is a mini rink for beginners and very little kids. But I still saw many beginners and very young kids trying to skate in the main rink.
I like Roller world I just think they need an advanced skate and better music other then that it is a very fun family oriented place to go.
Place is usually pretty good, it was super busy the night we went, which made it really hard to skate. I think there were actually too many people there. Usually Tuesdays are adult night with a retrovibe. The Tuesday that we went was definitely all adults, but was lacking a bit of the retrovibe... We left early... We will go back but we want the crowds to calm down a little bit.
Lots of fun and still an affordable family activity with reasonably priced concessions. Saturday night rink was packed with teens+.
Took my 8yo and she learned how too skate.. same place I learned how to skate at wen I was a kid..Alway good price and friendly environment..
They have separate spot for learners. Great place!
A great space, including the main roller rink, as well as a smaller one for beginners. They also have food available. The only reason we didnt give it 5 stars is because the volume of the music was so loud you could not carry a conversation. Most likely this will actually contribute to hearing loss. (Not an exaggeration.)And so we probably wont ever return here.
Great atmosphere great for teens good music cheap teens all have great time with no problems..friendly atmosphere
We had a great time skating! Patrick and Nick were outstanding and super helpful because after we skated I needed a jump for my car and they went above and beyond to help us out!! 10/10 would recommend!!
Adult Night music is pretty bad. Way too much hip hop top 40. Thats what they play at the kid sessions. Many skaters wearing headsets. Gimme a beat or I wont be back!
I had soo... much fun even tho most of my time was on the floor.
Awesome place to just escape with the kiddos!!! Love rollerblading with the kids...would suggest own blades or skates the blades could use repairs
Been the same since the 80s. Gotta frequent like this if you want them to survive! Buy local!
This place has honestly changed it is no longer an environment for a CHILD. Kids everywhere swearing some aren’t even being supervised and we have 15 year olds kissing at every corner.
Great place to skate in in Boston. Not enough old school music for us old school folks.
I am giving one star cause I can give zero.I waited for more than two hours on the line and I never got in because nobody was respecting social distance. No one from Rollerword tried to organize the line or make something in order to respect covid-19 guidelines. If there were 30cm between people on the line it was too much.I think this place should have more social responsibility.
I loved the place in general I just wasnt a fan of the ear blasting music and terrible song choices. Other than that this place is amazing and I would totally recommend going there! =)
Good but music is trash
Great place to have fun
It finally back a place to get excited, listen to music and have fun. For all ages. The rent equipment or you can bring your own.
Went on adult night, it was my first time and was really fun!
Glad ppl can enjoy themselves again, make sure you get tickets on line n print it out
Pretty cool place.
Had a really good time with my granddaughter
My daughter love it
Such a fun family time!
The experience was great ! Inexpensive to skate and fun ! The music was okay.
Best place to hang out and just have fun to skate
They need a new DJ that can hold the crowd,💯💯
Its really fun and you can bu glow up stuff to skate with and PiZzA
Great place, I had fun
It, was great for the kids.
I basically lived here as a child and teen I’m 28 and if I didn’t move to texas I’d probably still be here with my daughter I loved it
The young lady whom assisted us today (6/18/2020) was so very nice as well as professional. Our many, many thanks to her! God Bless!
It was amazingly fun
I have been going here since a kid and before corona me and my friends would come here all the time this is the spot the price to get in is so cheap only $10 most places are $20+ and idk why people are complaining about the food it’s not a fancy restaurant and the prices are a little high but I don’t mind Bc this is where I have most of my memories as a teenager ❤️
Its so fun everyone is safe and there arent problems. Me and my friends love coming here to learn and get better. Its a amazing ace to be at
So. Much. Fun
Place’s great
Kids loved it ❤
I love Roller World ever since I started skating I go there every week now I totally recommend to anyone if interested in skating! Everyone is super nice the only problem is it’s hard to skate because there are a lot of people.
Reasonably priced. 7.50 to get in with quad rental included. Blades are 3.00 more. Loved that they have a small rink for those who dont know how to skate. Had a fun time!!!
Great as always for all ages. They have roller skates and roller blades of all sizes and two rinks for adults and little kids. Lots of arcades and food. We easily spend several hours there. Great place!
Okay so the bar for roller skating places is really really low so the four stars are perhaps a little generous. We have gone here about a dozen times in the past 6-7 years and enjoyed our time skating - there are two areas so you can learn without a lot of people zooming last you. Once you get the confidence you can join the large area and go at your own pace. The roller skates are total trash though - they should have been replaced in the 1980s. The buckles just pop off randomly.
Good floor, great skaters to watch ... but ... they are damaging their customers. I have been to rinks in four different states, and I have NEVER been exposed to a sound system this loud (honestly, it feels and sounds like a rock concert). Hearing damage begins to occur at 85 dB, the rink blasts music much louder. Bring hearing protection, because the employees refuse to turn down the music.
Adult night is 🔥
Lots of fun. Great atmosphere. Definitely going back
Had a blast rollerblading. Even at my age. Skate shop has good deals on new and used skates!
Rental skates are terrible, workers are not very knowledgeable about the skates in the pro shop. Good options for things to do and my kids enjoyed it. I competed for years so I may look for things that most people dont
It has a large skating ring but also a smaller one for learners. We went on a Saturday so it was filled with teenagers. If you have smaller children like I do (my son is 1), there isnt anything for this age group so be prepared. Ordered two grilled cheeses and it took way to long and it wasnt that good (white American cheese on white bread), probably better to go somewhere else to eat.
Its been a while since I have been to a roller skating rink. I loved going to roller palace but since it has closed we tired this place out. My first impression was not good. They charged me to enter the place even though I wasnt skating. Then I had to walk through a metal detector. At the end of the night the kids had fun. This place has food, a pro shop, and arcade games. Parking is ok. They charge extra for roller blades not skates. I havent decided whether or not if Ill take the kids back there. Its a pain to get to since its on rt1 South bound. I feel like I had to drive up and down so many times to turnaround.
This place is a great for bonding moments and meeting new people! I totally recommend it to anyone who can get there.👍🏾
It’s really fun, I fell a lot of times 😂 but it’s super fun and with freinds it’s even better! I totally recommend going here for fun or a birthday.
Very busy. Kids were throwing themselves on the ground if front of people to trip them. Cheap and a good use of your money
Great place for kids. Amazing staff that cares about people. Awesome music and space to rollerblade.
I went here tonight for adult night with friends . Andwe had a BLAST! So fun and great people to skate with! Music was on point. Will be returning for sure!
I honestly hope my birthday is always at this place.I would bring lots of people friends and close familyfamily.love this place and always will.
Love this place but it really needs work done on the inside. Its like a time capsule thats falling apart inside. Its been the same for 20 years and that includes the playlist.
Great local place to go skating. Sometimes it gets crowded quick especially Sat & Sun because of the birthday parties, get there early if you want to skate freely. They open at noon on the weekend, so I usually try to get there for when they open.
I lost my wallet by it’s all good music is great. I mad some many friends there too it’s all very fun to just chill and play games. I wish they would lower the price of food by a little bit it’s ok.
Place is awesome but food needs to improve that way family can that go there can enjoy good fun and good food
Great place to bring kids on the weekend. Its great exercise. They have great food and games. Two thumbs up.
Music could be updated but they are always friendly. Great atmosphere
This place is amazing! I would definitely recommend it! You can obviously get hurt because it is a skating rink and people can bump into eachother, but other than that this place is 5 stars!! 😌💞 I hope you guys love it as much as I do!!
You love skating?????! Well come on down and get to skating, they play some great music and its always a fun time they also have a little arcade area and you can win some prizes with the tickets you earn
The staff has to do a better job at keeping the environment safe. They let folks just race around the rink doing whatever tricks they want. So what happens when one of these punks collides into a 5 year old? Nothing....In addition, the incompetent staff had the audacity to tell me that I couldnt carry my daughter to get off the rink? Well, if they were doing their jobs, my daughter wouldnt have gotten hurt , and I wouldnt have to carry her off. Makes sense right? Great job roller world. First time bring my daughter there.. last time youll see us there. Stay away if you dont want your kids to get hurt.
I always come here to skate because it was my first skating rink I ever went to. I learned how to skate here and I cannot stop coming here. The people here are great and everyone is trying to have a good time. The staff are excellent too.
It was really good and the food is not that bad like the people said
This place is wicked fun! but they should lower the price for the food , it’s ridiculously expensive! but overall really great place!
Thank you Lilly and Jim for all your help. Sky loves skating and we will be back every week. Lots of fun at roller world
We had a lot of fun as a family but at 4:00 on a Saturday it was absolutely packed and the staff allowed way too many skaters recklessly race around. My 9 year old son (who loves to skate) asked to leave early because he was afraid and a teenager took my 6 year old out. The staff was friendly and we would go back but at a much earlier time in the hopes that it is better. The music was good but a little bit loud.
There are ok.These young staff are very rude tho.My son had order chicken and they didn’t cook it all the way, which was still not cookeddd! They said it wasn’t there problem! Next it is. Teach them to be more nice.
Roller World is a Very fun place to take your children. the music is a little loud, but my kids have a BLAST! when they are happy, I am happy. they added a bowling ally that my kids love, they love the challenge of trying to bowl wile rollerblading. the food is grate and my kids school had a fundraiser there and all of the kids from the school district went and we raised 2,00 dollars! its a fun and fantastic place.
Really Cool place to take anyone 9 and up to have fun with friends and family!!😎
The immediately realized I was with an infant and got me and my family inside. Very nice and energetic staff. Id suggest going early it tends to get busy.
Awesome skating rink. Most of the games are broken. That is the only downfall. Great customer service & love going early to beat the crowd.
