I had a terrible exprience making reservation at this location. I am a gold plus rewards member and I made a reservation for a 7 seater SUV. I wanted to confirm my reservation a day before and they told me they might not have a car for me. The same day they called me and said they have another car for which I have to pay $45 difference per day. I called hertz customer care service and they told me I can get free upgrade being a gold plus rewards member but the employeee and manager at this loaction refused to do so. They said they will call me when they have a vechile ready for my reservation. They didn’t call me and my pre-planned trips were all messed up. I ask hertz to be loyal to their customer. They just want money from the customers and rob in the name of vechile unavailability and upgrade. Good job hertz.

BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH…. this rental place will try to hard sell you the model up saying the car you reserved is not available and will try to force you into spending more…. I stood my ground and got the car I reserved but then was hit with a smoking charge to the amount of what the hard sell…. I never smoked in the car if I was gonna get charged for smoking I would have made great use of smoking in the car if I could rate half a star I would

Horrible new policy for car rental and none of it is explained when you make the reservation. Also the car I reserved wasn’t even available and nobody bothered to call and inform me of that.

If there was a ZERO star option, thats what I would have given this location. Its so shocking how unprofessional and poor customer service skills one can have! Stay away from this place at all costs! Use another location IF you must use hertz! However, after checking Hertz reviews across the board, they have 1.5 ratings (should have checked that first) The manager Jessie, is extremely rude and will lie to your face, and illegally up charge you on a car. I reserved a mid size car for 3 days. Upon arrival, he stated he doesnt have anything in that size, however, when you look in their parking lot it was FULL of midsize cars.He asked if I wanted to upgrade for $10 a day more and I said no. He proceed to complete the check in, not advising me of the car he would be putting me in. When we stepped outside it was a Nisson Versa, not anywhere near a midsize car, yet charged me for one. I proceeded to ask why he was giving me this car since it was NOT a midsize car, he said it was and this is all he had. I didnt believe him and tried to contact customer service. I toke the car and as soon as I drove off it had braking issues! Unreal! How does he even rent this car to anyone being so unsafe!?I returned and once again mentioned, this was not a midsize car and that there was an issue with the car. He then insisted to telling me I agreed to a smaller size vehicle at the same price, when I never did. I mean, who would take a smaller car for the same price? No one! I told him I need a better car. He once again said this Versa was a midsize class C car. I was tired of arguing with a brainless human so I upgraded the car. Come to find out, the Malibu he gave me was indeed a midsize car, class C, which means he has illegally charged me an upgrade fee. I have already filed a complaint with corporate and the BBB. He is a disgrace to this large company name and shouldnt be employed here. Beware!!

The guys at Hertz Santa Ana location helped us get the best price for a fuel efficient car. I am moving to Texas, and was under a lot of stress with the situation, plus I had never rented a car before, and Ryan and Miguel both made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The place was very clean and organized, everything had a place, which my obsessively organized brain appreciated, and was stress-relieving in itself. Both Miguel and Ryan were patient, and very personable. Miguel knew who we were immediately upon walking in, and Ryan was focused, organized, patient, and knowledgeable when walking us through the paperwork. Both Ryan and Miguel are AWESOME! They answered our questions with grace and kindness, and we were on our way in what felt like no time! Definitely thankful for and happy with my experience at this location! I’m glad to have had such a wonderful experience! 5 stars for sure!!

Be careful renting car here. I returned the car and had a little sand, and they charged me cleaning fee of $45. The rep acted like hes doing me a favor by saying its normally $99. Ive never heard of such charge in any car Ive ever rented. It wasnt even a lot of sand. I couldve vacuumed it off in a minute myself if I wouldve known. He also said they charge for dog hair and stain.

Bennett was super friendly at Hertz and came to pick me up at a local body shop. Upon pick up from my car repair, the customer service from Bennett was sour. Because it was close to closing time, they wouldnt drop me back at the body shop, which was a 2 minute drive. He told me to come sooner next time. That said to a working mom - how rude and insensitive. In addition, the bill was messed up. This place is so disorganized and has poor customer service. I had no issues with the body shop,which was efficient, organized, had great service, and great communication. Cant say the same about this Hertz location...the 3 stars is accurate, definitely not a 4 or 5 star establishment. Its a hit or a miss if Iyou look across the reviews...they should have more consistency in their service.Lastly, I told the repair shop that Im going to go and return the rental car, he said theyll drop you back here. I told him I already called and they said they wouldnt. I said their customer service was great when they were booking the rental, but that they didnt go out of their way for the return process. The repair shop guy said thats why they usually work with Enterprise, not Hertz...I wont be using Hertz again, especially at this location.

In my time of need, they blessed me with an awesome Nissan Altima. I needed it for a whole week because my car was in the shop. I so love this car I’m planning on buying one. I received professional help right away, and was pleased at how caring they were. Thank you guys so much I’m going to come back and try this again just because.

I reserved on line for Saturday 3/25/17 for 12pm. I got there at 12pm..door was locked... I knocked.. a young lady opened the door and stood there surprised that I knocked. She did not even asked if she could help me just stood there with a surprised look...I said I have a car reserved for 12pm, she said very annoyed that they were closed. I said but my card was charged already and why would Hertz take my reservation for 12pm pick up if you close. She started treating me like I was bothering her and like if she was doing me a favor by letting me inside. She was down talking to me and I had to tell her not to speak to me in that tone, its not my fault what was going on and she should not be giving me attitude. I asked her to stop acting like if she was doing me a favor because she kept going on and on about that they close at 12pm. I told her I had done nothing wrong. I could not believe how this lady was acting...people like this should not be working in customer service. I finally had to walk her through in what to do. She had decided that she could not rent me the car since my card charged on line was a debit card. She very rudely said even if she wanted to theres nothing she could do. I told her yes there is, rent me the car I had reserved which is still sitting outside with my other credit card which I handed to her and she just stood there like it was too much for her to comprehend. It took a few times of me explaining it to her for her to understand what to do. She continued being mad said that the price will be higher, I asked how much more, she said she did not know.. I said why would you say the price will be higher if you dont know...and she kept telling me she does not give refunds.. I told her I will call the 1-800 number for a refund on my charge on line for her not to worry about that, I just wanted her to do the right thing and rent me the car.....This womans behavior is just unacceptable. She even makes a mad face and for such a young person shes very unhappy.. just sad. I will not rent here again. She has to be related to management for her to act like this only people who know they will not be held accountable act like this at work!

The nicest place I rented from. I still got a discount added to the best price on the Internet. With gas prices similar to pumps in the area, Ill save time from having to fill up before returning.They took the time to explain things and quite flexible with options. I only wish I found Hertz sooner.No, I am not a special customer. Finally, customer service that makes sense. Example, I returned a car late, but renting for another week. No, late fees charged. Wow, this was done without me asking.

Make sure you check your bill carefully! I was charged $93 for fuel when the car was returned with more fuel than when I picked it up. They are padding the bill hoping people don’t pay attention to charges on their credit card. They admitted their “mistake” but claim it will take 10 days to refund the money to my card when in today’s world of technology, it should take less than a minute to process a credit refund.Excuses, excuses, excuses..........

Went to pick up at due time but the attendant says the specified car is unavailable. They are out and nothing coming back in for the day. The manager was trying to help with alternatives but had limited options. The point is why allowing the customers to make reservations either from their or third party site when there’s no car on their lot? And why not emailing or calling the customer and letting them know ahead? It may save so much time and money.

Have been doing business with them for a while now, and recently I wanted to rent a car and the person who always helps out no longer works there. I had to wait a couple of days to get a car and they just said make a reservation and we should have something by Monday. If someone needs it then they should check other Hertz to accommodate (they have done it before). Next day I went to a competitor and got a rental car within minutes. Was not pleased with them.

This has got to be the worst car rental agency in the business, I dont know how theyre still open. Rented a truck for the weekend and when I returned it on Monday they called me out and accused me of smoking weed in the car. She also said they found flower in the car. I was shocked! As I have never smoked in my life and asked to see it. When we got to the truck the flower she said was evidence was actually just dirt and grass in the foot area, and after she took a closer look, she said there were still ashes in the car. There were none. When I confronted her with the fact that Ive ever smoked in my life and the fact that I dont even know how to use s lighter she stammered and said regardless of what I say theres nothing I can do and that Im going to get the charge no matter what. I asked to see a manager and she said that she was it. So now they billed me $300 for something I didnt do. They literally scammed me. I called customer service and they said they cant do anything.

Getting my rental was fast and easy! I forgot my expensive shades in the rental on accident, called back a week later and they gave them back. I will continue giving them my business! They also paid my lyft ride home at no extra charge.

The place is ok. But ... when we went to return the car we got there at 9am it one one costumer before us .. only one person attending. And Brayan the only one cistumersevice was on the phone . By 930 Brayan was still on the phone. Then he stared finish with the other costumer . Then two more employees came in . I stood up and I informed them that I was already late to work and I been waiting for 30min and I was just going to return the car. The two guy look at me . When briayan said they cant do it because one of them was on training.I was just going to return the car . I been waiting almos an hr.I said . He said its not my fault. I am a patient person . He only had one costumer. Now their were 3 . I was there fo 1hr. And he make me wait more .I think they can inform . It would take us around 1 hr .. so we can calculate our time .This never happen before to me .. usually even when they are busy .. the came check the car and let you go .. maximum 8n returning the car has take me in the pass 15 min. Never for return a car 1h. 10 min .. horeble experience
