If I could give zero stars, I would. We were supposed to get our trash can last Thursday.. never came. Service officially started Friday. I called and was told our trash can was out for delivery… never came. Called today on Monday and nobody could tell me if I was going to get a trash can before Wednesday, pick up day. we have a weeks worth of trash waiting to be picked up. Will be canceling our service if we don’t get our trash can by pickup on Wednesday. Poor excuse for a business

Very Professional service. Our experience with Republic Services has been great. If there is an issue it is resolved right away. Our sales rep responds immediately, nice to be able to conduct business person to person.

This company is absolutely one of the most unprofessional companies I’ve ever dealt with… the only person worthwhile was the driver.. they lied - they charged more than the signed quoted cost - and now threaten my credit rating because I refused to pay their added charges. They don’t return phone calls and always blame “the other guy”. The 1.5 stars from others is too high - I’d suggest Cyclone or anyone else. Please avoid this company at all costs… you’ll thank me

The fees are just outrageous. I had nice cans and soon after I started service they took said nice cans and left ones that are tore up and dont even have matching lids. As if the cans dont look bad enough. I cant believe how much they charge to remove cans. I needed to turn off recycling due to money restraints and it is actually cheaper to keep it than pay them to take the cans back. Im sure Im not the only one that has no way of getting those huge cans to the plant. Every bill seems to be higher and higher. Truly feels like they only care about money. And the worst about Republic is I control my account online. Or at least I use to. I have called them multiple times telling them my online account is not working. Every time being told sorry, they will have IT fix it right away and I will get an email from them. Never fixed. Finally emailed I dont even know who and they sent me to someone else and they wanted more information because they were going to get the problem fixed. After sending them pictures and info so yet ANOTHER tag could be sent I never heard of it again. It is sometimes very difficult for me to call during business hours. And when you do you may get stuck on hold for an hour. I sometimes feel like they are purposely not fixing my online account so I cant put my trash on hold when I am going out of town. Got to get every fee and penny they can. If you can use a different trash service, do.

Billing for service after canceled. Paid through June 30th canceled on June 23. Threatening over bill for period beginning July 1st. Took money from bank account after canceling autopay and had to dispute with bank. Canceled after raising rate 25% . Do not trust this company

They charge you monthly $17/quarter to rent their garbage bin, AND they charge a $40 dollar fee to remove the bin when you cancel. I switched to a more local company

Trash removal was cancelled effective October 1, 2020. Reasons included lack of responsiveness to request to add recycling services; & poor communications & follow-up including failure to respond, failure to provide service as promised, inaccurate feedback, & totally lacking in coordinating communications. We now are getting harassed for erroneous billing that goes beyond October 1st, 2020, the effective cancellation date. After repeated calls & communications to Republic that all services with Republic were cancelled, Republic continues notify & harass us that billing is past due. We have the documentation but Republic doesn’t seem to be able to handle. They just want $ that isn’t due & continue to send us “FINAL NOTICES”.

Was waiting for a friend when one of your drivers got stuck behind me on the narrow street for maybe two minutes, but he was apparently very impatient and decided to intimidate me by banging his container on the street a couple of times. Hugely inappropriate and unprofessional behavior.

I shouldnt even give this 1 star, but the person I spoke with on the phone was very professional.When I canceled the service because of outrageous fees, I was told I would be charged $30 to pick up the container. BS, but whatever. So, when I received the bill for container pick up, the $30 became $46.05. Why? BECAUSE OF FEES!!!!Call around. I did and am much happier. Im paying half of what I was paying with BFI. Why? NO FEES!

All you get from this company is poor service and somebody on the phone that promises to fix the problem! Forced by the city to have them and I wish I had Lake service back. My trash can was left upside down with trash in the street. Contacted three employees today and nothing was done to help. Brain is the district supervisor in my area and was contacted about the issue and nothing. All they want you to do is fill out surveys about how their service is and nothing is ever done about how to improve their poor service. All you have to do is read the customer comments on their service 👎

I was a residential customer for the last 8 years. The recycling service was spotty - sometimes they missed the entire neighborhood. When it was windy, I would put a bungee cord on the lid of the container so that the recycling material wouldnt blow all over the neighborhood. Recently they started stealing my bungee cords. Customer service (Mike in Sandusky) told me that the drivers were instructed to not get out of the trucks due to COVID-19 so that is why my cords went missing. If they are not supposed to get out of the truck, how did they get the cord off? (I had it fastened down with a screw and a clamp!) They did offer to try and retrieve my cords and I decided to discontinue service. Mike was to transfer me to another desk for this and somehow the call was disconnected. I had to call back to discontinue service. Time to try someone else - I feel sorry for those communities that have locked them in as the sole provider so that they have no choice.

Continued raising their prices without any explanation. When we cancelled They sent a bill for over $47 to remove the can which I had been paying rent for the last 3 yrs. I called and told them I would drop it off which wasn’t allowed. 3 weeks after cancellation the can was still at my house. I was getting calls for a past due account because of the $47 pick up fee. I called and told them I wouldn’t pay until their can was off my property, they showed up the next day! My recommendation to anyone looking for trash service is to look for anyone other than Republic! You will get a better value almost guaranteed. I will be recommending a different company to anyone I know using Republic.

I have used Republic Waste Services for 2 1/2 years, and I have never had a problem with their services. I just read review after review criticizing this company, and I was shocked. I have called customer service on many occasions and always received courtesy and respect. They pick up my trash every week, on time. Yes, they have certain policy and procedures, IE not picking up the trash sitting on the ground, around the cans (actually they will for an extra fee) and wrapping mattresses in plastic, and these rules are all for the health and safety of the employees. Waste removal is a nasty, thankless job, and I am glad to have these men and women working for us.

I cannot even give one star (I had to because it wouldnt let me post otherwise) because their service and lack of accountability and customer service probably are the worse that I have seen. They absolutely DO NOT care about the customer. Obviously they do not know that there is competition out there or even care.

Honestly Id give a 0 star rating if I could. They havent picked up my trash in 3 weeks. Called customer service 5 times. Never came to get it when they said they would. Took a picture of my house (no time stamp anywhere on the photo) left out the end of my driveway where the can had been sitting for days. Argued with me that it wasnt there, when it obviously was. Told me my address was a whole different house on a completely different street. Went to check out the house. It was CONDEMNED. Whoever was responsible should be fired for incompetence. They obviously dont care. Will be switching companies after they collect the trash they built up. I seriously recommend a different company entirely. Im fully disgusted with how they treated me.

I normally would not waste my time writing a review but Republic Services is literally terrible. I have had nothing but continued missed pick ups, I’ve had to make continued phone calls, and therefore had to experience continued terrible customer service. The employees are literally the most rude and uncaring people I have ever had to deal with.

Horrible service. Called to set up new service and was told I needed to pay 50 dollars to start new service. And then it would be 33 dollars for a fee to drop off the can.I called cyclone and they said they can have a trash can out to me in a week and they wont charge me anything till my first bill and it would be a flat rate.

Straight garbage. Paid for trash services on 4/20 and was told the trash container would be dropped off on 4/24. That it was, my girlfriend even text me at 3pm to tell me they had dropped off the container. But by the time I got home at 7pm it was gone. The imprint was still in the grass on the boulevard where it had set. Somehow in the 4 hour period it was taken back by the company. Will be canceling services before the first pick up and switching to cyclone. Should of read the reviews on this company before even calling in the first place.

We canceled our plan in January because they are always raising prices, weve always paid annually. The customer service rep on the phone said we couldnt deliver the used trash container to their facility, mind you it has been at our house from the previous owners in 2012 and reads FSI on the container. They stated that they dont allow drop off , but that their drivers have to pick up the container. We left it out on the curb for a week, 26 days later it is still sitting next to my garage awaiting pickup. But they didnt miss sending out a $34 bill for picking up the container. Which never happened. Ridiculous, first of all to charge $34 pick up fee, when we would have willingly dropped the container off and then not to even pick it. I would not recommend their service to anyone.

Ive ALWAYS had great service when Ive called. My garbage is always picked up on time too. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because its more expensive than some of the other services and they dont offer recycling anymore in my area.

If I could give zero stars I could. My garbage container is old and the wheel fell off about a month ago. I called for a replacement which they said would be replaced at my next pick up. It never happened. So I called again and they told me the next pick up... never happened again. Called again and they assured me this week for sure. Didnt happen again. So I called to cancel and they will only cancel at the end of the month and are going to charge me a removal fee for their broken container. What a joke this company is. Stay far away from them. Customer service is a complete and utter joke.

The laziest employees ever. Today they dumped trash all over the parking lot and when a neighbor said something to them about it they ignored her and drove away, leaving the trash to blow all over. They also drove right past some full trash cans and didn’t stop to empty them. Only reason I gave two stars was because the person I spoke to on customer service was helpful and kind.

Dropped business with them due to various billing errors and constantly increasing bill. Other people paid different amounts for some service and lived within miles from our home. Did not owe any money to them and was still sent to collection for $35, again had to call to get removed. Billing and customer service is poor happy with new service in Sandusky Ohio area, look around before going to republic service

Your company is equivalent to the stuff you pickup weekly at the end of my driveway! I just found out I have been paying $100 MORE per quarter for the same service my friend is getting and she has recycling. When I called your customer service, the best they could do is $30 MORE than she is currently getting. You have been screwing me out of HUNDREDS every single year! And when I ask why your customer service says “maybe you have been a customer longer than she has?” Now tell me how that makes any sense? I have been a customer longer, so loyal customers just get screwed over? And the best rate adjustment they could give me is $30 MORE than she is currently paying for the same service in the same town. STAY AWAY FROM REPUBLIC

Terrible, dishonest company who will scam you. I usually dont write reviews but this company is absolutely horrendous. Got charged $34 extra and was told their prices fluctuate each cycle so you wont ever know how much your bill will be. When I called to cancel services I had to pay $90 and the call got disconnected. Choose ANYTHING else.

Will NEVER use them again. SHORT THEIR STOCK! These people suck. Im a contractor and I have been on hold for 55 minutes trying to find out when my dumpster is coming. They billed my credit card two days ago, but my dumpster is nowhere to be seen, and no-one answer the phone or email.

I wouldn’t give them one star. Had them grandfathered in from FSI and nothing but problems from missed trash pick up and fluctuated trash bills. Trash invoice was $64 a quarter, now it’s $98 quarter. Fuel surcharges from $11 to $20 very bad business very dishonest. I can see when fuel was over $4 a gallon but fuel prices are half that now. I cancelled all my rental properties trash services and went with Different company. A lot of customers are very unhappy and going with other companies. Republic services won’t be in business long scamming customers. I don’t know how they can sleep at night.

The bill increases every single billing cycle - its a slap in the face. I switched to FSI several years ago to get away from them, and they ended up buying out FSI, and of course it was more of the same, a constantly increasing trash bill, without fail, every single time. I was paying $118 per quarter before I dropped them. My current trash company only charges about 75% of that.Companies like this are a drain on society. They will keep doing what they are doing so long as customers are complacent.

It would actually be more like a -4 star. I put my can out the night before pickup. I get home from work the next day to find my can still full. It’s nearly impossible to call and talk to someone so I drove there and explained my trash wasn’t picked up. I was told the driver was there but did not see the can. If the driver could not see the big blue can at the end of my driveway nearly on the road, they should not be operating a vehicle. They said they would get it the next day, once again they failed. I don’t really know what to do at this point as it’s still sitting there.

This is a awful company. if there is another trash service in your area go with other company. customer service is horrible. if they cannot pick up trash the day it suppoed to be they will tell you just the extra out and then not pick it up. they let the trash out the trash cans all over your yard when they dump them and then they do not pick it up. told me I could have recycling, brought me a can, set it out 2 weeks in a row. called them and said they dont offer it in my area and charged me for the can. Also have to check your bill all the time because they will keep upping it if you dont pay attention. I would give them a zero star if possible.

Have never had an issue with this company. If for some reason they MAY not make their scheduled pick up, I always get a recorded call letting me know they may be a day behind schedule and to just leave the container at the curb until the following day. I use Republic for both Waste and Recycling and they are fairly priced.

Moved in to a new house so I had extra trash that didnt fit in the trash can. They left all the trash out except what was in the can. Not very good customer service. Sometimes companies go above and beyond to serve their customers... this company is below average on every aspect!

We have no other choice than republic. Their service is actual garbage. Missed pickups, failed re-scheduling, bogus charges, etc... The customer service representatives Ive spoken to have been nice, thats why they get at least 1 star. If you have other options, take them.

The worst service Ive ever encountered! Been waiting on my carts for going on 3 weeks now. Great - they waived the delivery fee (so they said the last call), but that can only be applied IF THEY GET DELIVERED. Unfortunately, Republic has centralized call centers and you cant speak to anyone local so left hand meet the right one.Today the driver told me he was behind schedule when I mentioned I had other move-in trash, which I was also told they would take as long as I let them know about it. Well, needless to say, its been mentioned each of the 4 times Ive had to call in.I have an advantage as I have had 16 years of working with trash companies and know how things should work - problem is, here, not sure they know.

We ended up with Republic when they bought out our old trash company. We have one of their cans and one of our own. Despite being grandfathered in to having unlimited trash pickup, they are constantly leaving the trash in our trash can. We have had to call and complain multiple times. If you have another option, go with it!

I wish I could give this company zero stars. They miss our trash despite the bill being paid. They rip open bags and leave trash everywhere. They are always rude on the phone. And in my area, the city made a deal with them so I cant even chose another trash company. Monopolies should be illegal. Oh and their trucks always have trash flying out. Some of which has damaged my car.

I would post a zero if that was an option. We just bought a new home. Last owners were w this company. Realtor said they were to pick up. Never came. Called and said they were coming 2 days later. Never came. Realtor called next day. Said they would come in 2 WKS! Realtor said unacceptable and threatened to cancel service for the co if they didnt come Monday. Today they finally came while I was in bathroom. Neighbor guy watched as the republic garbage man reached in the can...pulled out every bag...and dumped them all over my driveway. Unbelievable. Trash has been here already over a week and half.... We are nice people. Never seen such unprofessionalism. They dont keep their word.

First it took 2 weeks to get a dumpster after ordering one then they sent the wrong size dumpster they finally exchanged it but now its almost a month and they have yet to go and empty the dumpster when Im supposed to be on weekly pickups Ive called almost 10 times within the first month and they just keep telling me that theyre going to send it up the food chain this company is a joke.

The worst company I have ever dealt with paid bill then got a service interrupt fee dated for the day after they took the money from my bank ignored it since service never was interrupted then paid the next bill other than the service interrupt then got a second service interrupt fee again the day after they took their payment then just got another service interrupt fee and a bill sent to me for 105 and its only service interrupt fees
