I’m a car guy so choosing the right shop is a big deal. I refuse to drop my car off to just anyone. For me it comes down to an honest price and specific knowledge of what I drive. If you know what you’re talking about and are charging a fair rate, that does more for me than 5 star ratings.I called Devin about a part install and was quoted exactly the price I was expecting. I pulled into the shop and Devin immediately greeted me and laid out what I should expect from the job and included a recap of cost and total time frame.The team did a great job with the install. After the job, we chatted and Devin was very helpful in answering all my questions and giving me sound advice on my car. I didnt feel rushed or unwelcome to keep talking. His insight on my car specifically was amazing. He’s going to be my go to mechanic from now on.It’s nice to go to a place of business where people enjoy their job. Thanks Devin and team!

This is the only place i go to. This is my second review cause Devon just does a great job. I know whats going on with my car at all times (challenger owner) and Devon is always on track with costs and labor. I have been doing my own on my cars for years so trust me Devon is fair and quick.

I brought my vehicle in to have it assessed for some troubling symptoms that I thought were going to lead to an expensive clutch replacement repair. The mechanic Devon was able to assess that it was not indeed what I was suspecting. The repair was done much faster than expected and with Devons honest expertise, for far less great of a cost. I am a grateful customer that will certainly be bringing my vehicle back when necessary.

The service here was amazing! Fixed my car in a timely manner. Price was cheaper than others in the area. My car is running great. I will definitely be coming back if I run into any more car issues. Very professional and overall a very good mechanic.

Devon smogged my 2001 Miata with no issues.Fast and professional but wish there was a discount coupon code or discount.

Been with him for about 5 years. Remembers his customers name and cars very well! Nice guy, never had a problem has done everything well and when he doesnt do something will refer you. No spiel, just tells you straight what he does and the price. Extremely polite even though he is always busy.

Had a great experience coming to this shop. Devin was professional and super quick. Had to run a code diagnostic to make sure my evap system was good got that done super quick and got an oil change in about 30 minutes. Super quick super professional and did not try to oversell or price up on anything. Bring your car here. Its in good hands.

I met Devin through a AAA tow driver and initially was hesitant. After the first repair, I felt amazingly confident. My Honda Prelude is 19 years old and through his knowledge, integrity, and reasonable pricing, my car is practically running like new. Everything from an oil change to catalytic converter replacement, he has done on my car. No one else can touch my car now.

I have been going to DownTown Auto Repair for a few years for all my car needs since my old mechanic retired. Devin is always willing to work with me and give me honest opinions. I literally just left this shop about 5 mins ago and I must say I had the best experience I’ve ever had at an auto repair shop ever today. The representative who helped me name is “Devin”, he was very punctual and has premium knowledge of cars and their parts, along with premium customer service. A tow truck driver dropped it off to this shop and Devin started working on my vehicle ASAP and fixed the issue in less than 10 mintues, honestly. He even gave me follow up information, his card, and told me what he’s done on the vehicle to repair it. I will definitely be coming back whenever I have any issue with my car. Again, thank you so much Devin. 5 stars!!!

I have nothing but positive experiences with this shop / mechanic. Devin is reliable, honest, and a good guy who will service your car promptly. He won’t upsell you like most mechanics do to make a few extra bucks. Although I hate care problems, this guy does it right and I’ll continue to bring my car here.

Devin is great! Hes not one to waist your time, hes direct and honest. And he and his brother do everything! Oil changes, smog, wheel alignment, tires, and everything else. I trust them 100%. And his location is perfect! Right behind safeway, walkable to BART, makes it really easy if I need to drop the car for the day.

Devin @ Down town Auto is a good honest mechanic who helped me figure out what to do with my broken car. He actually talked me out of repairs that other ships recommended which I greatly appreciated an honest perspective that was best for me. Next to San Leandro police station go check him out!

Devin is a very knowledgeable, quick, and efficient mechanic.I called him concerning a car I was thinking of buying and he was able to book me in for a next day pre-buy inspection on the car. He was able to point out to me many flaws with the car that the dealer failed to mention and then gave me a rough estimate on what I would be looking at paying to get it all fixed. When all was said and done it was $90 well spent and it saved me from buying a money pit of a car.
