I am a professional Transaction Coordinator and I have worked in the business for many years. Never ONCE have I felt compelled to leave a review for an Escrow Officer/Company. In this business, we work as a team, and Precise Escrow has not given an ounce of an effort during the transaction we just completed. There was zero communication, zero professionalism, and zero motivation to guide all parties through the transaction efficiently. To be honest, I did not trust their process or the person handling this file. I would steer clear from this company, if given the choice. There are a lot of Escrow companies out there that will provide you with much better service and communication.

Yelp ratings for 2 stars is meh, Ive experienced better. My escrow agent was James He. The point of having an escrow agent, besides it being the customary practice of having one in a real estate transaction, is for him to handle and obtain the documents necessary to get the transaction completed that is within his ability.I was charged $400 for settlement agent fee, and $100 document preparation fee, $50 for document messenger fee, $20 wire fee, and $175 for Mobile Notary Fee. These prices are inflated, but I let it go. Technically I should be provided a receipt for the items theyre charging me that they outsourced, such as the mobile notary fee.My frustration is if youre going to charge a premium fee, the services provided should be top notch with good work ethic. He has poor follow-up. He can easily contact the insurance company on my behalf to get the necessary insurance documents requested by the lender, but instead did a mediocre attempt to secure the documents. I had to pick up the phone to do his job. And when I did, it was not as time consuming or difficult as he made it to be. Because of his laziness and lack of follow-up due to time is of the essence, my closing date was unnecessarily extended, which means more interest that I had to pay at a higher rate.My advice to others is that you can find better. I have experienced better escrow companies that have provided me with less stress and let me focus on other day job while they handle the services that I am paying them for. If you want to close escrow on time, choose someone else.
