This is a new dentist for our family. So far super transparent dentist. Doesn’t intend to fix what isnt broken. Refreshing to have a dentist not just out for the money all those unnecessary root canals and implants bring. Appreciate the honesty so far. Will update after I go in for a new crown next month. Had 3 great experiences here. Crowns, extractions, and cleanings. Outstanding dentist who handled my dental phobia beautifully. From Debi in the office, to the assistant and hygienist, everyone here is well qualified, honest, and all around a great office. Prices are considerably lower than many places I have gotten work done. Highly recommend Dr. Asil and his staff.

Great experience! Ive never written a review on a dental office before, but was so impressed by Dr. Asil and his staff that I felt compelled to write one. Everything about my two recent visits was top-notch, from the friendly front office staff to the on-time service and all the way through the work performed. Have had nothing but great experiences with Smile Dental. Dr Asil, Debbie, Deanna and there whole team have always made me comfortable. Had to come in to have a lot of work done after several years without a dental visit and they have all helped make the process easy. I moved 40 mins away and still make the drive because I know the service and smiles I am going to get from Smile Dental.

I am thoroughly impressed with the facility and staff at Smile Design Dental. The facility has new equipment and tools giving it a high quality feel. The waits have been minimal and youre in and out within an hour. My entire family has had recent visits and theyve all left smiling with cleaner teeth and goodies to last us until the next visit, including toys for the kids. I havent had any insurance surprises either which is a huge plus, the quotes I received have proven to be accurate. All and all, I think this is a great place to have your dental work handled. The staff are very friendly and make you feel like the number one priority while your there making the experience first rate!

Dr. Asil has performed many dental procedures for our family, including crowns for myself, non-removal of wisdom teeth for my wife due to potentially serious complications, and braces for our teenager. Also I had a recent emergency while in San Diego and the office stayed open late to accommodate a procedure. We are originally from New England (his degree is from Boston University) and find his staff are friendly and helpful and the practice is professionally run without pushing un- procedures. Dr. Asil has an excellent bedside manner and always offers all options and talks through all procedures whether a routine filling or a complex dual crown. This practice takes all standard insurance and is a refreshing normal Dentist in Orange County, CA. We fully recommend Smile Designs for any family seeking a regular Dental service.

I have been going to Smile Design since it first opened up. The staff is friendly, rarely do I have to wait in the waiting area, and Dr. Asils easy going manner makes the visit almost pleasant. I normally go for a cleaning but he has done several crowns for me and havent had a problem with any of them; they were perfect from the get-go.

Exceptional! The staff are very knowledgeable and very informative. My insurance is handled without a glitch. Doctor Arash and staff takes all the time that is necessary to make sure procedures are totally understandable and cared for even if needed beyond normal hours . The fees are very reasonable especially for the extra time he takes with each patient. The play room for children is very helpful.

Prices are high; and I really wish that they would call back when they promise. One dentist and he goes from one patient to another; making a visit too darn long.I cannot pay $1000 for treatment and would rather just have my tooth pulled, so I asked for the price just to pull the tooth. I was told that they would email me today and that was a few days ago. I am still waiting.

After decades of dental care, I experienced a “first” at Smile Design Dental Group. Empathy. The dentist’s office is not my happy place. I have never been treated badly but until meeting Dr. Arash Asil, I have never experienced a dentist who really seems to understand that some people really do dread dental procedures. Rather than brushing aside my fears (“You won’t feel a thing!” … “It will be over before you know it!” … and on and on), Dr. Asil takes the time to explain what needs to be done, how he will do it, and the options he can offer to make me feel as comfortable as possible. When I told him, “I just hate the injection,” he answered: “I know. I do, too.” Finally I feel I’ve found a dentist who understands that being a dental scaredy-cat should be met with kindness. The entire staff has been nothing but patient and professional with my extensive concerns. I have known Dr. Asil for many years and recommend his courteous, competent service. A few years ago when my wife had mild sedation deep cleaning, I was prepared to pick her up so that she would not have to drive herself. Smile Design is an Absolutely Wonderful Dental Practice. I had just recently moved down to San Clemente, CA and I was in need of help with my teeth. I was in extreme pain! Being new to the area, I didnt really know any San Clemente Dentists and was afraid of going to a bad one. One day I was driving and passed by their office. My teeth were hurting so bad that I decided that I couldnt hesitate anymore. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Smile Designs friendly staff. When I heard the word root canal my heart raced. I have always been extremely afraid of proceedures including cavities. My last visit was when I had my wisdom teeth extracted, which was rough but my recovery went well. I was so scared to have my root canal. I was crying before we started my root canal because I anticipated a lot of pain. Throughout my proceedure I was in no pain at all. I have never had such a good experience at the dentist before! I would recommend anyone to come here! The staff is amazing and will accommodate you with anything you need!

Dr. Asil and the associates at his office are not only efficient and knowledgeable at what they do, but theyre extremely friendly and very customer service oriented. Ive been visiting the office for over 5 years and have never had a bad experience in that time.The receptionist is always courteous and attends to scheduling my appointments, while letting me know what coverage my insurance provides (which is great because I don’t want any surprises when it comes to billing).The dental assistants are outgoing and good about remembering any trouble spots I had from previous visits and they follow-up with the appropriate care.Most importantly, Dr. Asil is easy to talk to, very attentive and also thorough in his examinations. (I’ve been to other dental offices where the assistants usually handle most patient visits, leaving the doctor to attend to only major surgery. Dr. Asil is involved every time I visit and that gives me a comfort level I don’t get from other dental practices.)The technology in the office is fantastic because I get to see up-close high-resolution photos of where work needs to be done on quality computer screens. Outside the office, I get e-mail reminders and text messages confirming my appointments, which is extremely helpful because I’m in my car a lot and not always near my home calendar.Visiting Dr. Asil and his associates is always a pleasant experience and makes going to the dentist not only tolerable, but even enjoyable. (Of course, part of that is my responsibility. It helps if you brush and floss well, like I do.)
