They contracted for SMUD. They didnt cut a tree that was marked, but they cut 2 trees that werent. They were supposed to leave all the oak wood about 3 cords and a large amount of chips which was 1 reason we agreed to have trees removed rather than trimmed in the first place. They were kind enough to leave us nothing except for the massive stumps they cant dispose of even though we spoke with them 3 times reminding them of what the SMUD rep recorded. They are there to hack as quickly as possible and then 30 mins later provide stretching entertainment while the Foreman in charge serenades the entire neighborhood SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS IN SPANISH FOR THE HACKER TO ADJUST HIS TECHNIQUE. All in ALL it was a wonderful experience that I wouldnt wish on anyone.

Regret opening the gate for them to trim my backyard tree. Previous trimmers always trimmed the side where the younger branches were reaching wires, but these guys climbed the tree, took a chainsaw and chopped the top of the tree. Then the one cutting shouts to the guy below, The tree is alive! Isnt it your occupation to know about trees? Hopefully it recovers.

PG&E sent these tree butchers to prune 3 Mulberry trees in our backyard that were more than 6 feet from the power lines.There crew was three Hispanics, of which only one spoke broken English and pretended to understand my directions about the backyard landscaping.They ended up cutting back about 15 feet of growth from two of the trees and damaging a set of path lights when they dragged the branches across the yard.I would never recommend this company for anything other than removing dead trees in open space.

Contacted with Edison to trim trees. They cut my internet cable and threw it on top the house to hide their damage. They did nothing for nearly a month,then they denied they broke the cable, blamed it on someone who did work two days later and refused to pay for their damage. They were also very nasty. Dont let them on your property unless you want to pay for their damage.

Came out did a job on Cajalco Road in Mead Valley contracted by Edison did a great job clearing the trees from the power lines going to my house very professional highly recommended

Ive had a lot of different tree services and these guys were the best.. wonderful attitude, cleaned up after the job and it was a delight to know them...so if you need anything please give them a call.. you wont be disappointed...

SMUD contracted Mowbray to trim some of our branches away from their lines. They only cleaned up part of the mess they made and left the rest for us. A big branch of our fruit tree was ruined as well. Would not use this company.

They cut up my beautiful weeping willow tree without me even knowing. I didnt hire them, the neighbor did to work on their trees and the guys cut mine. So angry about his. I called and they passed the buck to another number that didnt pick up. Considering legal action for their negligence.

Called this company 6 days ago.... No response. One if the employees damaged my car. Minor damage, but nonetheless. They need to respond AND PAY FOR THE DAMAGES.

Illegally dumbed tree trimming (3 load of them) on our driveway. Like we wont notice 3 pile of branches and leafs. one pile was partially in the driveway! Guaranteed who ever they did work for was charged a disposal fee. So the crew pockets the fee and finds a place to illegally dump their trash on someones elses property.

Completely inconsiderate drivers park their vehicles in front of one of the only diesel pumps in Lake Arrowhead so they can go inside and have coffee and breakfast. If this is how they operate i certainly wouldn’t want them working in my yard

Worst tree service ever! They topped and killed two of my trees without permission and removed over 80% of limbs from another. They told me they would down the trunks of the trees they just killed and 5 minutes later got into their truck and left as soon as i went inside. Mowbrays Left one dead tree leaning towards power lines and another leaning towards my house. They left a mess in the yard and multiple dead limbs they cut off, just hanging from other tree branches waiting for them to fall in the wind. They would not answer their phone and did not respond to messages left over the course of 6 weeks before i gave up. Terrible tree service!!! will kill your trees and leave a dangerous mess for the homeowner to deal with. DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS!!!!!

As a public business these company is the worse. They arrived at my house there were 3 Hispanic guys already to trim a tree that had no issues with electrical wires. I though the guy was professional but when I notice he was destroying my tree. It only needed a 1 foot for most these guys cut 12 or 15 feet. To me they are tree slaughters. Shame on you pg&e for paying these companies to finish destroying our source of exigen.

Mowbrays Sub contractor for Edison Tree removal damaged my car. No big deal really accidents happen thats what insurance is for. Turns out their Insurance is canceled and they nor the Abatement Department at SCE follow up or respond to Joe Q Public. Doing multi-million dollar sub work for a multi-billion dollar Company and no current insurance. Good thing it was just a car and not a person.

PGE sent them to clear branches for telephone pole wires. They”Butchered” my trees. Topped 3 to 2 feet above fence.....no wires there at all. Extremely bad work! I have put in complaints to PGE. Let’s see if they contact me.

These people were doing tree work for PGE in our neighborhood. They left a tremendous mess. Broke the gate at the neighbors house by riding over the gate rail with a bulldozer. At some point they dropped a massive piece of trunk on their own vehicle. Left behind trash (bottles, old gloves). Worse yet, they keep coming back to finish trimming because they didnt do things right the first time.

Caught these guys on our property hacking our Pine tree without permission. They flat out lied and said they had left a notice on our door the previous day. Actually, they had put it on our door the same morning that they showed up to cut the tree. We had hired our own tree trimmers last week to do an Edison trim of our Pine, just to prevent these butchers from working on our tree. Past bad experiences have lead us to not allow Edison’s contracted trimmers onto our property. I called Edison to complain, but I doubt it will mean anything. They left a mess of the parkway trees. There were leaves and branches all over the sidewalk. The neighbors’ Agave blooms were chopped off and they weren’t even close to the high power lines. These guys aren’t supervised and have no clue as to what they’re doing.

Mowbrays crew did an excellent job of trimming the trees along the Edison lines that run through our ranch. They even removed some limbs and debris that were left by a previous tree trimmer. They were very professional.

I wanted to write to say a huge thank you to the Mowbray crew that came out to take care of a huge branch on our powerlines. Crew 512 did an amazing job, were quick, and very professional. Victor and his crew mate did a great job.

This company was doing work on behalf of Edison and I found one of the workers in my fenced back yard this morning, without permission. My dogs were going crazy and my cat had a broken jaw ...no explanation...and had to be put down. Needless to say, I am not happy with this company. Rick Mowbray is now threatening me for sharing this info. (Company is not woman owned, by the way, even though their website brags that they are). Cat aside, I should not have strangers in my back yard. Period. Also - read other reviews... they have been suspected of casing homes. Maybe thats why some stranger was in my back yard? Do not recommend.

The crews that are working in the Willits area and up in Brooktrails are the best tree service Ive seen they really know how to get the job done

They come on to private property via Edison and destroy your property without permission. They were supposed to be trimming for nearby electrical lines that have been there as long as the tree. Previous tree services simply used common sense and clipped a couple of Limbs to remove fire danger which I understand. But these guys took it to a whole nother level and completely destroyed my families tree.The men on my property had no Foreman nor could any of the three speak English. They were actually really nice guys they were just completely misguided by their superiors. They did not even approach staff or myself to discuss the project. Unfortunately I did not catch it quick enough. They destroyed a 50 year old family pine tree on my business property.

They came out and trimmed trees at sce request but have not been out in the past 3 or 4 weeks to remove all their slash. Called their office 3 or 4 times and never get a person. Left msgs each time. Never a call back. Very unresponsive.

Mowbrays cut one of our neighbors trees and in the process left a debris mess all around the tree they cut . they left deep ruts from their trucks in our front and rear yards as well as the neighbors. they ripped down our fiber optic cable wire and damaged our electric line . we had to have both utilities come out and make repairs. but thats what we get for letting them have access to our property to make there jobs a little easier. thanks for leaving us without tv and internet for 4 days.

Do not use this tree service or let any of your friends or neighbors use this tree service. They will scope out your neighborhood and burglarize homes when given the opportunity. On 10/29/2013 I hired a crew of 3 from Mowbray to trim a palm in my back yard. The next day my home was burglarized; $50K+ worth of jewelry and heirlooms were taken. Neighbors told me they saw an SUV with three people in front of my home while I was gone, and their description of the 3 people matched exactly how the cutting crew looked. Just today, (03/03/2015) a neighbor informed me her home was burglarized and earlier she had seen a Mowbray work truck and later an SUV with three individuals cruising suspiciously around the neighborhood.I have called the company multiple times asking if I can get any information about the crew that worked in my yard that day. Upon telling them it had to do with my house being burglarized, the manager got defensive and gave me the run-around. Ever since that conversation, the manager no longer fields my calls.If any upper management of Mowbray is reading this, you know who I am and I am awaiting your call.

Left trash in the middle of road. They were unapproachable, rude and dismissive. Would not reccomend.UPDATE: They did it again this year! Contacted the supervisor, he came out, apologized, said he would clean up the left behind debris and he actually DID NOT clean it, I had to. The nerve. This is our community, they should respect that.

Almost killed my wife because they were looking at their phone while driving a chipper truck. Stay off of our land and go back to the city you hacks.
