I previously bought tires here 3 years ago and they were amazing... Today I called to get assistance on tires and the person that answered wanted to know the exact size in my tires. I needed assistance because Im not sure how to read tire codes and the person that answered couldnt assist me with the year, make and model of the vehicle. I called discount tires. And BAMMMM!!!! They were able to assist me with the tires I needed and were able to find the sizing my vehicle needed... Customer service people... This company just lost $650....

Bought some aftermarket wheels from discount tire and they could not keep my car from shaking at high speeds, even after 5 trips back. Gave up and went to Gils where they fixed me up right the first time! They figured out the problem with the hub rings and fixed it on the spot👍Highly recommend them!

Really suprised me with the big selection of rims they had like car show material for a place like S.A after riding around looking at different rims and tire shops I didnt expect to find a pair out here I liked. figured I was going to have to go to Houston to look around , not to many other places I went too had any nice looking rims in stock, let alone ready to bolt up the same day Im really not,into rims but I found me a nice set here.A pair I havent seen at any,other places out here in the S.A area rim shops def worth going to youll find a set of rims there you like guaranteed.

Second time buying rims and tires from Gil. Went to rent a tire before this trip just to make sure I was getting a good deal. Rent a tire had about 2 choices for my car and would NOT tell me the price. Left and headed to Gil had about 15 choices found 2 that I really wanted they told me the price with install balancing and everything right up front and made my decision from there. Great selection and up front price thank you.

Wouldnt recommend it unless you have 2-4 hours to spare just to get some tires on any rim. Ive seen people do it in less than 5 minutes for one rim a whole lot of lazy folks Starting with the management and ending with the workers. UNPROFESSIONAL TO THE MAX

They’re good at what they do but overpriced. I had a slow leak and asked them to repair. They had to break the lock, which took about two seconds to do and was charged $10 for it. I went to pay and found out they charged $20 to fix a very minor slow leak. $30 total for a basic function that runs about $10-$15 at most places.

I had a wheel repaired, alignment performed, and all 4 tires replaced at Gils. The service was amazing, the workmanship was spot on, and it was reasonably priced. Shout out to Sam for doing such an amazing job. Im in med school and have a crazy schedule... they made the process extremely easy despite the number of repairs that were needed.The reviewers that needed help likely didnt ask for it! Dont give merit to their garbage reviews.

Purchased a set of tires and rims and was promised free rotation with purchase. When it was time when I needing a rotation. I was going to be charged for it. I’m a Goodyear card holder and I had explained to the manager that they give you free rotation on the lifetime of purchasing a new tire and he had told me he will honor the same deal. So when it was time to get it done, they did not honor our deal, I’m positive he just wanted to make a sale of 4 new tires with my rims. On social media I’m an Instagram follower and I had posted my situation and my comment wasn’t only deleted but I was blocked from following them. Will never do business with them again and I encourage not only my friends and family but to the google followers not to do business with a bunch of liars and just in the business to get over on their clients and not to gain their clients trust. I would give this business a 0 but 1 is the least I could rate them due to googles ratings preference

I went in for a simple patch job. But the tire was shot. They brought me to the back to check it out and sure enough. They helped out a lot especially since they help process financing. An I had literally had an entire day of bills ahead so putting money on an unplanned item and need was not what I needed. But fortunately they werent trying to trick me into spending money on any other items most places are like car dealerships trying to tell you what you want instead of just listening. Overall my experience was great. I was very impressed with the customer service reps they were very cordial and respectful. Ill be going back for more services an Id definitely suggest them to a friend or family member.

Ive had to deal with a few places concerning the rims and tires for my vehicle. With each visit to Gils I have not been disappointed. They continue to make great suggestions and recommendations. I have received excellent customer service with every visit.You cant help but over hear others conversations while being helped yourself and Ive never heard anyone behind the counter be disrespectful to anyone. As a matter of fact it has been the opposite. They have even encouraged customers to think about it and come back. What? No pressure to buy now! nope They even told me that when I was thinking about buying tires all the way around. First thing he asked was why. Hey I will take your money, but if you dont need to then why do it. Get this tire replaced and you are done.

I walked in and was looking to buy some wheels for my car. I was there for 15-20 minutes and not once was i assisted by anyone at the location. There were sales people present but they werent interested in helping me! Pathetic. Another customer walked in a few minutes later and was greeted and attended to. I was ready to spend some money and looking for advice and opinions. Sure didnt get any help from the people at Gils Tire and Wheel.

Very unprofessional. When I tried to bring my c7 corvette back because of the horrible balancing job they did . After paying $125 for mounting and balancing. They came up with nothing but excuses to not stand behind their work. And they didn’t. I took it Cascias on Grissom . Try did an outstanding job for a fraction of the price.

My name is Thomas Parsons- Gil’s Tire and Wheel is worst place to buy anything. Do not purchase tires or rims or anything of the sort from these guys. 1- the guys in this shop treat no one with any kind of respect, as if the client is lucky to have them. The two times I went in the employees at the desk sat there laughing and carrying on like I wasn’t even there as I stood 2 feet away from them waiting for someone to great me.. 2- I just spent $2,000 on tires two weeks ago, and was told they honor warranty. When I caught a flat on one of my tires today they told me the warranty wouldn’t cover it. As a business owner of Pinnacle Asphalt and Concrete and a board member of the San Antonio chamber of commerce, I suggest highly to take your business to DISCOUNT TIRE! If I could give a “0” stars I would.

I wouldnt recommend to anyone. Went and got a 6 inch lift kit installed after buying brand new tires took them three days. Had to drive to Virginia for work after I picked my truck up get all the way there and figure out they didnt align the front wheels so my brand new tires were bald. Start doing front end work couple months later. The lift they put on my truck isnt for my truck. I spent alot of money just to spend alot more money because of this place. Thanks for the headache. And your taco stand next door was trash.

Quick changing the tires out that need changing but TPMS sensors are not one of their Fortes. I requested all sensors be i n working condition and when I got back to my warehouse with company vehicle sensors were still on dash sensor light when I was told they would go out once I drove away from Gils Tire and rims.

Took my truck with 22x14 here to get a alignment and camber bolts installed. My trucks alignment came back worse than it was before tires didnt even look straight. One of the workers there recommended me to another shop when they pulled it out the bay. Why charge your customer when knowing they couldnt get it aligned properly . Asked for a refund and couldnt give it to me. I ended up taking it to another shop and it came out better they even told me whoever installed the camber bolts stripped them. Wouldnt recommend this shop . Shops dirty and unorganized!

I had a fantastic experience at Gils. While driving to San Antonio from Houston Id noticed my car starting to wobble and vibrate on the highway. I called many different auto shops with almost no response. However, someone answered at Gils, they listened to my issue and actually recommended a much much cheaper solution.The next day I showed up without an appointment and a friendly employee named Fernando jumped right up to help me. He fixed my wheel problem in less than 10 minutes, no joke, and I was on my way. Im honestly tempted to wait on future maintenance for when Im next in San Antonio. Thanks Fernando and Gils Tire shop.

Great experience. I had a lift and new tires put on all on credit. 6 months to pay no interest.

Good prices but when you make a 250 mile round trip just to get home and realize you have flats because they didnt replace the valve stems and they are leaking around the bottom at the rim its kinda pointless.Well I went back the following week and they replaced all my valve stems and made it right.

Dont waste your time or money! This place has the worst customer service ever! Called and they had the tires I wanted in stock, they said come on in, we are open until 7! I drove 1.5 hours to get there, arrived at 5:30pm and they told me they were not taking any more orders for the day! Took no actions to accommodate me at all!! What a joke!! Pay a few dollars more, and get your tires/wheels at a reputable tire shop!

Didnt do business with them. Only called to ask a question about their service and I was immediately put on hold, only to hear a hold message saying how the spokespersons sister was the #4 prostitute in their country and chose the wrong deal on tires. I get that it was a joke, but it only reflects their level of professionalism and dedication to customer service. Thanks for saving me the time and aggravation.

Terrible service . Took my car in for wheels and tires and they took 1 hour. ONE HOUR . I was waiting in the waiting area and it smelled like rice and shrimp , so disgusting. Not only were they unorganized, but their bathroom was also dirty and had piss everywhere (Although some pee was mine). These guys were thing to throw 22s on my 350z and it was ridiculous. WORST IN THE CITY , I’ll stick to my local bean tire shop

The wrong size rim was ordered with offset specs even after I personally went to BMW and called the dealer I purchased my rims from once I purchased my vehicle.If you know anything about offset rims it makes your lug nuts either protrude from its space depending on the size. I clearly explained this to the sales associate.What did I get? A rim that didnt have the same specs and he blamed it on the manufacturer and refused to take responsibility and accountability for my refund of 450 bucks.If you are at fault then fix your error. This is how you do business. If this was the only wheel and tire place in San Antonio I would travel to Austin. Its absurd when any customer pays good money for merchandise but instead gets poor customer service and no one is willing to right their wrong.

Service is very mediocre and tires are WAY over priced. I went to Espinos right down the street for the SAME EXACT TIRE (Lexani) and got it for under half price. On top of that customer service was top notch and got me in and out in 30 mins.

Went to get new rims only to have them do a terrible job on the installation. They did not install my two right tires correctly which caused my hub to break and had to have repairs done that very next day. I could move both ties back and forth without any effort. Their disclosure states they are not liable for any damage after the installation. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Their installation team obviously doesnt know their job.
