Absolutely NEVER again will I use Uhaul. I was supposed to meet my movers at this Uhaul facility to get my things out of storage to move to my new apartment. The movers no showed me four times in 24 hours but finally showed up. I had moved all of my items out of storage to help them out and speed things up. I noticed that there was an altercation outside with a family who just pulled up in a Uhaul truck to unload. Turns out the Uhaul employee was telling them they were closed and he needed to put his things back in his truck, leave and come back tomorrow. They employee then approached me and said leave your stuff where it is, but you need to leave. We are closed. I told him I had a key card and could have access until 9. He then said that I could have access but not my movers. When I became upset, he threatened to call the police and have me removed. My movers and I basically ran to get everything out as fast as we could, but the police showed up anyway. At that point, the police officer said well, he told you the key card machine was broken. No, he didnt. And THAT was not my problem. My contract says that I have access to that building and my things until 9 pm. Completely dramatic and embarrassing. I cannot believe that this dude has a job. If your machine is broken, then you hold the door for me until 9 pm. You work there. I totally believe that this guy called the police so that he could go home. Never again and I will tell EVERYONE I know not to use Uhaul.

This place was by far the worst experience I have had with uhaul. We are in the military and move a lot and have always used uhaul but after the experience with Augustine and his employees I would not use them ever again. We ordered a large storage unit to be given 2 separate units on the opposite side of each other making it harder to unload the truck. With COVID I understand restrictions and limitations however their recycle and reuse stated can be used just no mattresses and couches. We adhered to the posted signs that was typed and tapped on the walls to be told rudely in an intercom that we would be charged 200.00 for using said space and following the signs. After my husband who had to go the manager Augustine it was explained that we weren’t doing anything wrong as we followed the sign however they don’t want us to so others won’t do it and do it wrong. It astonishing that we are being threatened to be charged for someone potentially doing something wrong after us. This could have easily been corrected if they simply change the sign. Due to the accommodations and not having enough space is why we had to downsize and “donate” or use the recycle section. I had to let go of furniture I didn’t want to. The manager offered us free 30 days for another storage unit. I shouldn’t need another just to have to pay more money monthly. A free month on another storage would not help with the dilemma that this facility caused.

Booked truck days ahead. Came to pick up the truck. Had a broken ac. Was the only one they had left apparently. Uhaul says a truck with a broken ac and no fans running is fully functional during texas summer in 110 degrees heat.. thanks guys. Very incompetent experience

Ive dealt with this location twice in the past week and both experiences have been good for the most part. Garrett is very friendly and helpful. Service was pretty quick both times I was there. I did call the second time before heading there to make sure they had a truck and was on hold for the entire 15 minute drive there. Once the lady picked up the phone she didnt seem very thrilled to be getting my business. Seemed strange to me. At any rate, their box prices are reasonable. This is a convenient location that I would use again. They have a good amount of storage options both climate controlled and not. Just remember for the truck rentals you dont just pay the rental fee, there is the insurance (which I always get, just to be safe), along with 89¢ a mile. Still reasonable for in town moving.

We are moving and thus needed to rent a U-Haul truck, not once but twice from this location. I must say, our experience was great. Every interaction with every employee working here was exceptional. And I need to point out Garrett who was very professional, courteous, and helpful at all times. Who says customer service is dead. Takeaway, if youre in need of a U-Haul truck, trailer, storage unite, or supplies, this place has you covered.

Absolute worst customer service I called 9 times just to be hung up on 6 of them the other 2 before I could say anything I was told to hold, the final one I just hung up. I will definitely be getting a hold of corporate this is unacceptable.

Started my trip in northern Oklahoma by renting 4 pods and a trailer to move them. Oklahoma U-haul put our truck and hitch through their computer to ensure it was safe to haul a loaded pod. everything went great.However, once we tried picking up our pods at this location, the manager was being sexist toward my wife, refusing to allow her to rent the trailer. I attempted to explain the stats of my vehicle and he refused to listen. He kept telling me that I only towed the trailer empty, like I had some way of removing the pods off of the trailer. At no point was he even willing to look at the door panel data or tow hitch data of my vehicle. Refused to even put our vehicle in the computer to identify if it would pull a full pod. Lied to us about the requirements of the trailer stating we needed a 3/4 ton truck or bigger to tow the single axle trailer of 2000lbs. Went on to lie to us that cooperate would fire him for letting us use our vehicle to tow the pod. Continued on by attempting to pressure us into renting one of his trucks for an extra cost that would almost double my shipping costs.Called cooperate. Learned that weight enforcement was subjective between locations and that they dont fire managers. The lady at cooperate called the manger and was rudely shut down just like my wife and I were. Also learned that the storage side of this location had a cheap delivery option which this manager was so thoughtful to avoid telling us. While dealing with the storage side of U-Haul, they were all aware of the event that took place and several referred to his behavior as Bull $h1t.Key takeaways:Dont rent from this sexist jerkDont use Pods unless you have a 3/4 ton or larger truckStorage people were supper coolCooperate was nice but ultimately offered very little help

If you are going to rent a uhaul truck for a long distance move, DO NOT RENT A TRUCK FROM HERE. I provided all the information necessary to rent a truck, which included the distance I was traveling. 3 hours in and a tire blew out. It took two hours for people to respond and replace the tire and they were absolutely rude. 6 hours later another tire blew out and it blew out while my family and I were on a bridge. Had both hands not been on the wheel we could of very well of fallen off that bridge. This time it took 4 hours for somebody to respond and replace the tire. While waiting ww realized that the exhaust pipe was burning a hole through the truck. When I finally dropped off the truck from the worst move ever I called this place to address my concerns and the manager could of cared less. He just kept saying well maam, Im not a mechanic and couldnt of known about this problems. Wrong answer. They have to know or have in their system of when the tires were last replaced. Overall, please do not rent a truck from here.

The worst customer service! I u haul representative tells me over the phone what I will be charged, only to find out when I get to the store it’s 5 times the amount. How is it the customers fault the employee is mis quoting prices! Again worst customer service. The “owner” has no clue what it means to have great customer service. DO NOT GIBE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY!

The worst customer service. Used them last year and had a terrible experience and gave them one more try. They overcharge and call customers names. The guys that work outside are idiots and the manager isn’t much better. Will never use them again

Fantastic customer service. Got a same day appointment to get a trailer hitch installed, hardly took em any time at all. They even hooked up the trailer I rented, was fully expecting to have to do it myself and was surprised when they told me it was good to go. Great location, highly recommend.

Came in and rented 2 storage units at uhaul, and was helped by Erik. Went above and beyond to help us out, including holding some of our stuff as we moved. Came back a few weeks later as circumstances had changed..Erik remembered us by name and helped us rent a truck so we could condense ton1 unit. The amount of time and patience he worked with has was outstanding. He made sure we will never go anywhere other than U-haul for our storage or truck rental needs.

The one way moving truck was nice, the free storage unit was even better, the customer service was great but when I opened up my storage unit after only having it for 2 weeks... there were cockroaches inside my furniture and boxes. I would be careful about using the storage facilities as you might get roaches. Good luck.

This uhaul will do anything to over charge.. I guess its just how they do business. Having to move buring the covid-19 pandemic.Write down your mileage, and take a pic of the gas gauge..

Best service. Manager was amazing. Staff was very polite. I had an issue and they totally understood, took care of my needs and sent me on my way. If ever in Tx again, I will definitely stop by this location for my towing and moving needs.

Garrett sharp and his staff were extremely helpful and got us the tow dolly and and the truck at a moments notice and made sure we got everything we needed. Very thorough and thoughtful. I would recommend this u haul location to anyone coming to SA!

The service was good, but within a few weeks, our storage unit was full of insects. There was an enormous black widow that had to be removed along with its egg sacks. My biggest complaint is with the pricing for the rental truck. We were quoted a price and gave the guy the miles we would drive. We used the truck for a day and paid 40 dollars more than the quoted price. When I asked why, he told me it was because of the milage . Experience was ok, just be prepared to be nickle and dimed if you use them.

Could use better customer service. They think theyre being helpful but theyre really not. Be more energetic, people. Fake it till you make it.

We have used this U-Haul more then i can keep track of ,but they have great people that work there, willing to help you with anything you need.

We have a storage unit since April at this location, on Sunday we brought more to put in storage and ended up renting another one so now we have two. That day Mr. Philip M. (I dont remember his whole last name) came to our truck parked in front of some trucks because we didnt want to park on the spots to unload and block people we were waiting for our unpackers so Mr. Philip came knock and said I need you to move this truck NOW! You are blocking my trucks from the public (super rude) my husband said we are waiting for our unpackers to come he replied honestly I dont even care you need to move it now we were very upset of the treatment he gave us and his customer service was beyond bad. Maybe someone needs to train him again. People pay a lot of money to store their stuff to be treated like that.

Never again, Will never get ripped off by these folks again. Be careful if you choose to use them. Double and triple check your mileage or they will add on a ton you didnt drive. Used before 3 years ago and was okay, but they obviously have gone down hill since then.

The staff is the usual UHaul staff; there are really knowledgeable people, and a few others with much to learn. Overall good. I like the box reuse area, so you can share empty boxes with other people, and I like the area for recycling unwanted items. Ideas way past their time, in my opinion!

Had a hitch installed. Called the day before for next day appointment. Installed quickly and process was easy.

After visiting 3 uhaul locations in San Antonio... Bill was the only one who figured out and fix the problem in no time (genius ) thanks to Bill now I can deliver my merchandise to Spring Tx. on time )

Didnt have the size truck I needed. So I got the next size up. Transmission was going out it would down shift hard, and the truck felt like it needed an alignment, almost hit multiple cars from truck swerving all over the road, and on top of that ac didnt work. Me and my brother rent trucks on multiple occasions, but never from this location. It was the worst truck ive ever rented, and when i made them aware of all its problems, they didnt seem to care. I wont be coming back to this location.

Bill is lazy and rude! I went there to rent a trailer before and the employees didnt even know how to hook it up to my truck. I would rather drive out of my way than rent from here ever again.

Expect a 50% total cost increase at pickup. Add in extras and its a surprise, not the advertised cost.

The pity service from the Manager ... my mother rented 3 storage for one year which one of them apparently kept the lock open ... they called us since she had moved with me to Pensacola fl ... to put a new padlock ... which never received the keys ... after thousands of calls in a year ... he received them when he moved now in July magically appeared in the mannegers drawer .... she paid 3 advanced storage already I thought they would return you for unused days of the month ... nope that doesnt happen there ... I dont recommend it.
