It would have been great if I wouldve gotten assistance with recovering all of my identification so I can gain employment... I need my iD/ Drivers License, Birth certificate, and my social security card... They did bless me with clothes and a sack lunch.

Wonderful place serving the economically poor and the homeless. Always needs volunteers. Something I can do help others makes me feel good.

Very nice place because they help you with things that you need when you are homeless and destitute. However, some people want employee specifically in the womens clothing area was extremely rude and unprofessional and the fact that I am handicapped and needed more assistance and time then the average person that walks through those doors went unforeseen by this employee and her rudeness and crudeness for me to get out of there. Several times she demanded that I hurry up but didnt offer to help me. She was more worried about getting the ones that havent been down there and the closet then she was to help the ones that were already present in the closet. She made me feel as if I was a problem client an unimportant person. I hope that this woman doesnt project that image to all the clients that walk through your doors. Because she truly made me feel less than and as if I didnt belong there.

This place is amazing! Be very careful though because their understanding is limited depending on you are. They are there to help but they do actually hurt a lot of people and get a lot of people in trouble for no reason. Try a very rude to the homeless people. Its a very strange place but its definitely from God. Above all, good.

Its a structured environment with discipline when needed,very resources ingeneral,most of the staff seem Genuine with their job n how they assist those in need!!

Im still trying to make it over there. Because, in case someone who is reading this needs to know: on Mondays only C.A.M. can help an individual with either an ID through DPS. Or a Birth Certificate. You can only get a check for one or the other once a year. Since I am needing my birth certificate and I was born in Spokane, WA. Its not a problem if you were born out of state. You just have to look up the health department or vital records department in that state. Once youve found out the cost C.A.M. will issue a check to that location, provide you with an envelope with postage and youll receive your birth certificate. If you have no return address C.A M. Can help you with this as well. They will provide you with a no cost mailbox , or address where you can receive mail. (Legal documents included. From Medicaid, Housing etc.

This place is a gem on its own. They helped my family and I with the help we needed. We got our apartment and got many helpful and useful items. Linens, baby clothes, dishes and food. Staff were polite helpful and amazing to everyone who entered their doors. They assist for a limited amount of time but they do try to help EVERYBODY. Thank you everyone at CAM for the help it was greatly appreciated.

A great place to donate clothes and shoes. The staff is friendly and they do a great job at keeping the place clean and well organized. All the clothes they receive from donations they give it back to people in need. They also give out food.

They were very nice to me received food it was a blessing I also noticed homeless people would get free bottle water and a bag of snacks that was so nice to see you dont see that every where nice to know there is a place to get help God bless them for their open doors to help families in need and single persons

I wont give this place a number .. I went there asking for a bus pass. So I can get to my appointments to a clinic as soon as she found out it was a methadone clinic she refused to give me any kind of help...she started saying she would call security...and call the cops very prejudice on the medicine Im taking!!!! Very rude people!!! And they call themselves christian ministries!!! I will never recommend anyone to that place...

CAM has been a staple for the community of individuals who find themselves in need of food, shower, clothing AND provide additional services if not mistaken...either way theyve been a huge help for me and my friends.

Staff is wonderful and very helpful in so many ways.

CAM is a wonderful community program. We need more organizations like this in San Antonio. This program is like a social service ER. I can’t say enough wonderful things about CAM. They fill a critical void in our City’s social services. CAM helps provide Identity restoration services, utility assistance, and food and clothing to the most vulnerable members of our community.

Every time I have gone to C.A.M. they helped me with a check to DPS helping me get my ID. You do not need a referal. They will help you with ID financial assistance or obtaining your birth certificate; but only one or the other, once a year. Although if you are needing food, they have a pantry there AMD depending on your family size and their supply, youll get food. If you need clothes theyll give you up to 2 outfits, a jacket, shoes, bedding and linens, ( if they have them), under garments, hygiene supplies and they do this twice a year. ( they always have a nice selection of clothes too!)

Such a nice, friendly place. My husband recently became very ill and lost both of his kidneys (End Stage Renal Failure). He is on dialysis and no longer is able to work. I am the only one working and it has been a struggle. It was my first time needing cps bill and food assistance but the people here did not judge or look down at my situation. I pray that they would be blessed for their generosity and kind spirit.

Why say We help the community but the things the community needs help with we dont assist with that. Ive seen so many people get turned away for things they dont qualify for its sad. If youre servicing homeless families, families who are on fixed income and need a little extra assistance to get through the month, and/or helping people who have been recently released from jail or prison why not help them instead of turning them away. Its very discouraging. They wouldnt come to you for help if they werent really needing it. The place smells like urine and feces as soon as you walk in on most occasions. The food given out is extremely close to expiration dates if not already expired. People who need bill assistance require shut off notices but if their bill is more than $50(which most are) youll be paying for them to still shut off whatever the bill is anyways. Ive gone in a few times for birth certificates and to see if they give car assistance(for repair) and although I was able to get the birth certificates, the stories Ive heard while sitting there hurt my feelings for them. This needs to change to better assist the community as they say they do.

I went trying to get a voucher so I can get my ID thAT I lostBut they explained that they only do ID vouchers on Mondays only. And some kind of bug.must have got me because it feels like the flu! And with it being as cold as it is outside, i cant go anywhereEven though they were not able to help with the voucher, they helped me with like2 outfits( 2 shirts. 2 pants. A pair of shoes. Hats, scarves( belts u just gotta ask2 v what theyve got)But they gave me scarves. Lots of hygiene. Just ask and theyll give u want they can

It was ok. Lady downstairs helping with clothes was very nice. Lady upstairs is the reason young black Boys are being killed for no reason. She actually got upset because I told her my son was a child because twice she called him an adult, saying adults arent allowed downstairs. I said hes not an adult and she saw red. Disgusting

I am a man on complete disability, all I asked for was help to obtain ID, FOOD... thats it... Went there 3 times and finally got food, NO HELP WITH ID, I havent been there in 5 years, they treated me like I was there every day... Ridiculous!! Felt so disrespected..
