I have wondered for the last 10 years if there was a wing chun school here in SA, and turns out there are several. The Sifu here is the real deal, and he is the original wing chun master here in SA, the other school descended from him. My son loves it and I plan to join one day as well.

We love Sifu and the staff. Sifu Leal is great, teaches you useful technique and the history and purpose of what you are learning. We drive from Canyon Lake twice a week and love it.

Ive been going here for about a year and a half now. It really is a great school and a great environment. Sifu Leal is an amazing teacher. You not only learn how to do something, but why you do it that way. You get history and you get stories as well. There are all types of people there, and it really feels like a family...not just a school. The other instructors are also excellent, and everyone helps each other out. I feel lucky to have found such a great place to learn.

Sifu Leal is a GREAT teacher. Not in a HURRY and makes sure that the fundamentals (stances, moves, forms, etc.) are well understood and absorbed and explained how theyre used in real life combat situations. My 2 daughters (2nd deg and 4th deg Tae Kwon Do blackbelts) enjoy this very much. Prior to TKD 10 yrs ago, we looked at different martial arts (karate, aikido, crav maga, etc) but we found this more practical for close hand-to-hand combat especially for women. And its LESS EXPENSIVE! The senior black belt students are also very helpful teaching younger and less senior students and the class environment is fun and great! We look forward to getting Wing Chun black belt degrees for our daughters in years to come.

A good friend of mine asked me last year: what is one thing you always wanted to do? Answer was: learning a martial art. So I did research and found this gem. Sifu (teacher) Gilbert and his team of instructors make learning Wing Chun Kung Fu fun, in a very friendly and family like atmosphere. This is something for everyone (young, old, tall, small, fit or not). From learning and understanding an ancient martial art to applying it in modern day life...Sifu Gilbert covers it all. He teaches with respect and devotion but also with a chuckle on his face. Very reasonable prices, no long term contract like many other schools. Just come and check it out!

Sifu Gilbert Leal is such a great instructor! My son is doing great and learning how to properly defend himself, not win a tournament. Small building in a somewhat questionable area, but Ive never felt unsafe. Loads of working people coming and going but because of the businesses nearby. Great place to bring anyone wanting to learn self defense from a kind, firm, and fun individual, that lives eats sleeps and breathes this stuff.

I am so thankful to have discovered Sifu Gilbert Leals school of Wing Tsun. I never had practiced any martial arts before coming to his school. His careful detailed guidance and practical instruction, I believe, quickly give the student a solid foundation to build their skills in a relatively short period of time. Woven throughout his classes are real stories, history, theory, and even his humor which make the class such an enjoyable time. He also comes from the lineage of Sifu that trace back to the grand master Ip Man himself. Its also nice to regularly see so many of his advanced pupils that really love him like a father. Its been such a great experience. Id highly recommend!

Teaches self defense same time explaining what it is your doing & how it will be used. Teaching history about the style and tecnic. Sifu is very informative and patient with beginners. Flexible classes. Dont judge u by appearance. All in all to me best wing chun class in town.
