Our son, 8, has been attending this martial arts program for many months and we have seen him improve in areas of strength, coordination, and attention. He is challenged every time he goes and comes away with a great physical and mental “workout”. Total confidence builder on so many levels!!! I HIGHLY recommend your child trying it!

We have been at San Antonio Expert Taekwondo for over a year and we love it! The staff is always so welcoming, friendly and very helpful, so good with all the kids. My child always looks forward to attending classes, has learned so many skills and also how to be an overall well rounded person at class but most of all, at home. I greatly recommend if your looking for a Taekwondo organization to place your child in!

Family owned and run business. Master Kang and his wife are both black belts and run the entire operation themselves including teaching all the classes! They are passionate about Taekwondo and teaching the kids to be respectful at home and in all they do. They are SO great with kids and make it fun for them.My two sons (ages 5 and 10) signed up for the 2 week trial for $20 months ago so they could do the Nerf Night Out with their friend. They LOVED it and had a knack for it and the location couldn’t be more convenient for us so we signed up!!One of our favorite things about having our kids in Taekwondo here is how flexible the scheduling is!!! They post the class times for each level and you get to CHOOSE which 2 days to come and you just SHOW UP when it works in your schedule!! You don’t have to pick two days and stick to it or make a reservation! As parents of FOUR young kids who are all in activities this is crucial to making it work for everyone!Belt testing is every 10 weeks and the kids have to have earned their “stripes” for each skill to qualify to test. It is optional to test for the next belt.If they have earned more than 10 pink stripes for their pink stripe challenge (clean up after yourself, practice kicking, eat healthy food, listen to mom and dad) each week they will get a trophy at belt testing.Also I like that parents and siblings are allowed to sit and watch. I always think I’ll get caught up on things on my phone but instead end up watching my boys do their Taekwondo, it’s so entertaining to watch!!**COVID-19 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS**We also like that the instructors wear masks to keep the kids safe yet Master Kang has a microphone so kids can still understand him. Masks are currently not required for the kids but our kids wear them and some other kids do too. They offer disposable masks at the front desk if you forget.They also offer some classes on Zoom each week with Master Kang, which we have tried and are great too. Much smaller class sizes so that’s nice to get the closer attention when you can’t be in the studio.

We love doing Taekwondo here! Master Kang is so fantastic with the kids. I have seen their confidence, determination, and attention among other things improve since we started attending. We couldnt be happier.

Master Kang is awesome with his students! He is very patient and takes the time to get to know each one of them personally. He is thorough with his instruction and understanding when it takes them a little longer to “catch on” with the form, kick or punch. My son made his first Texan friend in this school and we are so grateful that we found SA Expert Taekwondo, Master Kang and his beautiful family!!l ☺️

In the past five months since our daughter began classes at SAET her behavior has improved greatly. She listens better, increased her flexibility and strength as well as a huge confidence boost. Master Kang and the other instructors are great with the younger students keeping their attention and encouraging their mastery of the techniques. Classes are fresh and change weekly to help keep challenging the students. The FB community and phone app help keep the motivation up at home with detailed assistance on how parents can help when not in class. We look forward to seeing the growth as our daughter progresses.

Master Kang and Instructor Jiyae are amazing teachers. Master Kang is very dynamic and energetic, he is always pushing students to give their best. Instructor Jiyae is very patient. They not only teach martial arts, they teach discipline, respect and good sportsmanship, even when it relates to home and school. We had a major health crisis and they were very compassionate and supportive to our son during the difficult times. They accommodated and encouraged our son, this made such a big impact in his emotional well being.

San Antonio Expert Teakwondo is one the best place for your kids to learn values, responsibilities and respect while having fun. Master Kang and his team have a special way of dealing with children, their energy, enthusiasm and funny way to do the class program makes kids of all ages enjoy it. Classes not only focus on new techniques and martial arts, they also focus and self discipline and respect of family values and self confidence. We could not be happier to have found Master Kang and his team as our daughter martial arts instructor, we have been with Master Kang for almost 3 years now and we love it !

This taekwondo school is a really great ! Master Kang and his staff really know their stuff and very knowledgeable about taekwondo and techniques with self defense.I would highly recommend this school. All ages can participate as they are different classes and stages on obtaining belts.As well as teaching self defense Master KAng is great with teach self esteem and motivates all students to do the best they can.

One of the most disciplined and friendly atmosphere at the Expert Tae Kwon Do place. The instructor is very patient and cooperative with kids. All special needs and requests are taken care of by the instructor. The timings are very flexible and one can choose from the given schedule and appear for the classes that meet the time. All the equipment is available in house at very market competitive price. One doesnt need to go anywhere to buy the gear! Along with Tae Kwon do, kids are given monthly tasks to build their leadership and discipline! At the belt ceremony the kids are awarded based on their progress and achievements. I highly recommend this to everyone kids and adults as well!

Master Kang and Instructor Jiyae are wonderful with my son. You can tell they are very knowledgeable and thoroughly love what they do by just watching and listening to them. My son is slowly applying respect and discipline at home which I love, and at school Master Kang helps him with focus. These were key areas I felt my son needed growth. Overall, I highly recommend this place.*UPDATE 10/02/21*About 2 years later and my son still attends and absolutely loves Expert Taekwondo! Growing strong in mind, body and soul. ❤

I have been taking classes in SAET for a while; and each and every class is fast paced and will get you in shape. It provides really good exercise, and it helps that the principal instructor, Master Kang, is extremely passionate and energetic. He will get you as excited about Martial Arts as he is.

My teenage son just started Taekwondo and he has been very excited. Master Kang has been awesome at keeping him motivated. He looks forward to his classes and even wishes he could attend more classes per week. We are thankful that we have found something that motivates him and he enjoys!

We love Expert TKD! My 5 yo is building confidence and discipline, he gets so excited every time he achieves a new accomplishment. Master Kang is fantastic with younger students! Also love the monthly Friday night activities (Parents night out) where the kids get to play games, nerf gun parties, Pizza & movies.

San Antonio Expert TaeKwonDo has been an incredible experience for our son. He started 3 years ago and our son recently tested for his Black Belt. Master Kang has been inspirational, directional and it has given him structure and discipline in fighting (or not fighting) and how to apply it to daily life.
