I am obsessed with this workout! I have been a member at Pure Barre San Antonio for almost three years, and I love everything about it. The workouts are low impact but extremely challenging. Every class is different, which keeps the workout fun and interesting without ever becoming boring. The owner and the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and really take the time to answer your questions and help you perfect your form. Finally, the community is tight-knit and supportive, and the friendships and bonds I’ve established are invaluable.

This is the true confession of a certified barre addict! I am a reformed cardio junkie so at first it was hard for me to believe that these teeny paper clip movements would really have any impact at all. I was amazed at how fast my body changed with just 3-4 classes a week. I have experienced significant changes in flexibility and overall strength. It has been seven years now, coming up on 1000 classes! My running shoes are tucked away in my closet, I prefer my barre socks! The community is also incredible. Such an amazing group of women who support and encourage each other. It was love at first tuck for me!

Ive been a member at Pure Barre Stone Oak/San Antonio for almost 7 years now. Its the best place to both get an incredible workout that tones and strengthens your body and to meet and connect with a wonderful group of instructors and members. The teachers constantly adjust workouts and music so you never get bored and are always challenged. You have to check it out soon!

I cannot share enough about Pure Barre Stone Oak. When I started over a year ago, I was in a workout rut - couldnt find anything I enjoyed, did not have any work-out buddies, wasnt really sure where to start. Enter Pure Barre. From the amazing class formats that offer a workout variety during your week, to the inspirational instructors, to the amazing fellow workout classmates who quickly become friends, it is an all encompassing group work out. Group workouts can be super intimidating at first, but I never once felt judged, but rather encouraged from the supportive classmates. We always have something fun going on - from friendly competition to champagne toasts, it is more than just a group workout class. Thank you, PBSO for everything!

Pure Barre Stone Oak has become my home away from home over the past few years. I love the workout, because it’s extremely effective while being gentle on my joints (and it’s so fun!!). However, I love the community more. The teachers are knowledgeable, supportive, and keep things interesting! PBSO keeps me sane!

The instructors are amazing and help yo guide you with proper form and bring an energy that helps motivate you to do your best, even on the hardest of days. I’ve been doing Pure Barre at this studio for 3 years and I am impressed with the results. The instructors are knowledgeable, caring, and fun. My core wasn’t as strong as I thought it was when I started but now I have rock strong core. Try a class. You’ll be hooked like I am!

Love the workouts, especially keen of the 5:30AM class. It’s a great kickstart that leaves you feeling energized the rest of the day! Instructors are great and always helpful in correcting your form and suggesting alternate moves if you’re having difficulty.

Came here with a friend 3 years ago and was hooked! Great workout for toning and strengthening- you will feel the change and it’s awesome! Love the instructors, and the class atmosphere is motivating and fun. I also love that I can livestream class when I can’t make it to studio. Try out a class and you’ll want to come back!

My introduction to barre has been incredible, thanks to the instructors and overall energy of this studio. I’m so obsessed with Pure Barre, and every class challenges you differently. I’ve taken four classes so far and can already see results and, more importantly, already feel stronger every time I go in. I’m likely switching to the unlimited class membership so I can go every day!

Ive been working out with these talented instructors via on line for over a year. In a month, my legs had lost the cellulite, and I was ready for summer shorts. The classes give a full body workout that at first wis so challenging, but my muscle tone got better and I became more confident, more hooked to see how I could improve. The instructors kept me from being obnoxiously overconfident by switching up the routine so I always worked different muscles. These classes were a lifeline for me during COVID, and I am so very grateful. The down side is that I cant quit.😄

The class was fantastic. You really feel the burn in your muscles within the first 5 minutes. The instructors are great. Super friendly, I felt very comfortable there. Everyone is willing to help you.I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants a great workout.

Today was my first Pure Barre experience and it was brutal.This sad, sad story has a point so please read on, its good, I promise.After a 5 year battle with an endocrine disorder that makes me prone to blacking out and vomiting, most of my beautiful muscles have wasted away and Im at the heaviest weight of my life. Exercise aggravates my condition which has resulted in a slow, long term decline in my activity levels. Since I was a competitive ballroom dancer this. has. been. devastating. After years of hoping my health would improve so I could jump back into the sport I love, it became glaringly evident I was at a crossroads. I could continue to weaken while waiting to feel better or I could accept that I would get sick while exercising but apply myself to the truth that a little exercise is better than nothing. Desperate for a change, I retired my heels and dance floor for sticky socks and carpet.I arrived right on time (which is dumb if its your first time and you need to fill out forms and learn the ropes) but a trainer, Jessica, welcomed me never made me feel like I was an inconvenience. After a few quick and helpful pointers, class began. I wobbled, giggled, and tried to keep up with the sequences. I looked ridiculous guys, but I had vowed to be gentle and accepting of myself and just roll with it. I was feeling hopeful.Within 15 minutes (this is so sad) I began blacking out and felt the dry heaves coming on. Trying to stay calm, I ducked into the locker room to lie down on the bench. Stay calm I told myself Just rest and you can jump back in. What I didnt expect is that every time I sat up I began to vomit, no trash can in sight, I would quickly lie back down. Jessica popped in to check on me and brought me a bottle of cold water, she was kind and not at all pushy. I asked where the bathroom was thinking maybe if I just went ahead and puked Id feel better. To my horror she said it was back through the studio, I wasnt going to make it, I was trapped. When she left, panic set in. With every minute I didnt recover, my resolve to be patient with my progress quickly dissolved into misery. GUYS, I SPENT THE LAST 40 MINUTES OF THE CLASS IN THE LOCKER ROOM. Every time I thought, Maybe I should sneak out, can puke in the parking lot. I decided against it, I REALLY wanted this to work because if there was any hope for me, I would see it on the trainers faces afterwards... and I still had forms to sign.It was awkward sitting there while everyone grabbed their jackets and shoes, some people gave me a polite smile but a cute, preggo chick promptly sat down and described how hard it was for so many people to begin. Jessica, the trainer joined in, their stories made me feel less pathetic and I actually teared up a few times at their encouragement. I needed to know I hadnt reached for something that was beyond me. Jessica offered to show me ways to make it easier on my body and I felt some relief because I wasnt strong enough to do most of the moves in class but was afraid of modifying the movements. I also have scoliosis and a herniated disc so Im all familiar with how doing something wrong can further jack up my spine. For the next 20 minutes, on her own time, Jess showed me modifications that were appropriate for my limitations. It was really comforting to see that Pure Barre staffs trainers that go above and beyond what my Groupon requires. In a community like Stone Oak, it was refreshing to see a diverse range of age and fitness levels. It told me that this is a place I can grow into; one day I can be that 60 year old chick with the arms of Michelle Obama. (I saw her, shes real)Overall, this was humbling for the reserved, introvert that I am.But it is much needed for the strong, happy person I want to be.Im scheduling my next class now! So pray for me, or better yet, come wobble with me.Just dont stand too close (;
