We were referred to Paul Latimer dba Basic Drafting group by our builder, Granato Custom Homes. We started the design process in November 2020, with preliminary plans provided on December 29, 2020. Those were the first and last set of plans we received from Paul. He promised them to us after meeting with him in March, in two to three weeks. I finally had to block my number in the middle of May to get a response from him. Then, we were promised the final plans to be delivered on May 28th. He stopped responding. We called Mark Granato on June 10th and said Paul had 10 days to provide us the plans. On June 23rd after still not receiving any plans and them not being done yet per an email from Paul, we terminated the agreement with Paul. After paying Paul 2,200 dollars, in June, Paul agreed to give us a full refund in exchange for us sending the one set of plans he provided us back. We did and he received them on June 29th. It is now September and although Paul has sent us several emails stating he would refund us our full amount, he still owes us $1,500. Please do your own due diligence on Paul Latimer before paying him any money. The reviews of him and his company all day the same things, and have for years.

We hired this guy Paul Latimer to do the plans for a flip across from Woodlawn lake. We met with him and the contractor. He promised to do the plans in two weeks. He made excuses for over two months after several attempts to reach him by phone and texts, I finally gave up. We gave him a deposit and he never came through. The one or two times he responded he said he had lots of work and that I would have to to wait. That caused me to lose very valuable time and not to mention money.He is sarcastic and can care less of his clients. Very unprofessional. Do not ever hire this guy he will rip you off.If you research his company Basic Drafting Group further he has a bad reputation. I was referred to him by our contractor. I failed to do my homework. He will probably read this and make up some excuse as he has done on all his bad reviews. Trust me don’t believe him.
