They were so patient and kind and understanding with my little guy who is still not used to haircuts. Even though though didnt cooperate they did their best and got him looking decent which is more than I could ask for.I will definitely come back and pay money even if they cant get much accomplished but I want him to get used to this place and wonderfully patient staff and owner.

I took mi kid for a hair cut , he is been always really good, except with this guy , we dont remember his name , but the hair cut was not what we expect, and mi kid complains about him , doing to much pressure on him , he tell me that after we left , if not I will say something to him

I had got a haircut with Chris Medina yesterday and honestly was very helpful and professional on cutting my hair.He really went into a depth conversation about the details and couldn’t have asked for a better barber, the cut was flawless and couldn’t be more happy.If I had to rate my experience I would say 10/10 no doubt.I will be coming back more often for now on for my go to barber.

I have received 4 haircuts there so far and am very pleased. My hair is very difficult to cut correctly and I have had many a barber slaughter it. Not here. They got it right every time. Never once had to wait, although I would. I would recommend to anyone.

Thank God for this Barbershop! The place is professional, the barbers are welcoming, and the place has a very gentleman-like ambiance. Most importantly though, I have finally found a place where I can get an insanely great haircut. I have been to so many barber shops throughout San Antonio literally from every corner of the city trying to find a quality cut with a great fade and this place is it- the best I have been to so far. Haircuts Ive gotten so far are pompadours and comb over fades. My cut cost me about $30 and it was worth every penny when you care about the way your hair looks.

Had a wonderful time at north star barber shop the guy that cut my hair was very nice and did a really good job on my cut they welcomed us when we entered and were very friendly the barber took his time and really wanted it to be perfect. He than putnhot shaving cream and used a straight razor to make sure his lines were perfect and he was very good at it. After he put some after shave on and it felt very nice. Im glad I came by for a haircut today it was a very pleasant experience

I tried this barbershop as a walk-in, and did not have a great experience. There were three barbers working during my visit and I believe two people waiting ahead of me. One of the staff was working on a gentlemans hair when I arrived and proceeded to continue shaving off increasingly microscopic sections over the next 45 or so minutes I sat waiting, seeming unconcerned with the increasing amount of people who came into the shop after me. I can appreciate quality in a haircut but when youve been working on an inch of scalp for 20 minutes, something is probably off. By the time my turn came up there were probably 7 or 8 men waiting for service.Full disclosure, I had come in with very long grown out hair (past my shoulders) and was looking to get it cut into a short style that should have been well within the skillset of a mens barber. The barber I ended up with instantly began making jokes about how long my hair was, being loud and obnoxious enough so that other people in the shop could hear. I showed him a picture of the style I wanted and he dismissed it, saying it wouldnt work. I wouldnt mind this if he had explained why that style wouldnt work and given me a few options for alternative styles.Instead he simply started cutting my hair in whatever way he deemed fit. All the while he kept cracking jokes about my hair and saying he was giving me corporate hair or something like that. I dont mind joking around but it didnt come off as joking with me, but joking at my expense. By the time he was finished I was ready to be out of there. The experience was not enjoyable whatsoever and I felt like hed turned me into some sort of show for the waiting people.I will say the shop was clean and seemed well taken care of and I understand I may have had a better experience during a quieter time of day, but because of my experience with the staff I will not be returning to find out.

This has been my go to place for years. I typically get my haircut by Angie, who is a rockstar, but everyone there has cut my hair once or twice and Ive always been satisfied.Clean, neat space and very professional staff. I have recommended this place to many friends and colleagues and have heard only positive feedback.They do take appointments and they also have a shoe shine guy as well. The shoe shine is also top notch.

Services at the barber shop are top notch and the staff are very friendly. On top of chopping off nearly 9 inches of hair today, I had my first straight razor shave today there and truly had an experience! Highly recommend this place!

This is the only place I trust to get my hair cut. Even if I dont know what Im getting, the barbers know, and it always looks good. People compliment me on my hair so much, that I started carrying North Star Barbers business card so they will know where to go.

I did not get my haircut here, nor a shoe shine. I did watch my husband get pampered with the freshest cut ever! First time here and I already like it. Good reviews and calling for even more. Not to mention I also sat here and breastfed my baby with no dirty looks or rude remarks! ☺

I entered this place , was not asked what I needed or any acknowledgement, waited about maybe 15 to 20 minutes all I wanted was a boot shine a person showed up and they sat him down right away and I was leaving due to being ignored and then was asked what I wanted. I think they should ask what kind of service you want since they do not just do hair cuts . I rate this place as poor customer service.

I have been getting my hair cut here exclusively for about four years now and I will continue to do so until they close or I move. If you are looking for a genuine barber shop experience, this is your barber shop. There is no one else in the city I would trust with a straight razor, either. And no better feeling than a super clean shave after a mind-numbing hot towel! I often find the experience is legitimately therapeutic after a stressful day of work.

The atmosphere. Real reviews thinking it was going to be different but it wasnt. Lady who cut my hair did the exact opposite of what I asked her to do. Asked for long clippers on the top of my head and she used scissors on top and left it super short.

If you are looking for a skin fade, look no further! Jennifer nailed it! According to her, they are all seasoned pros with that kind of haircut. Earned my repeat business!

On Friday 6.10.16 I made an appointment for the following day- Saturday 6.11.16 at 1pm. I was running late so I called at 12:40 to see if it would be an issue if I came 10 minutes late due to traffic. I was assured it would not be an issue by the gentlemen that answered the phone.When I showed up- they seemed upset to have a costumer. I let them know that I had just called and apologized again for being late for my 1pm appointment- it was 1:06 by this point. The gentleman that seemed to be the boss- simply turned and made a comment that someone by the same name was a no show early in the morning. (Obviously not me). He made a gesture for me to take a seat on one of the chairs- and a girl who works there seemed annoyed and got up to cut my hair: no thanks!They had no recollection of my phone call- which is surprising since they were slow and I had just called. Extremely rude- definitely would not recommend. The girl that got up to cut my hair just seemed annoyed that she had to stop chatting with her friend on the couch. Its called a job- try it!I was excited to try this place out since it had some good reviews- but costumer service is definitely lacking. Disappointment at its best.

When I called to ask if they accepted walk ins and he said yes. He said he had an appointment an hour from when I called and we were in the shopping center. Then we walk in a few moments later and the appointment changed to ten minutes from when I walked in. Then said he worked by appointments only. We tip generously but were not give the opportunity to try them out. I cant stand people that use the race or gay card for no reason but due to their change of tone in person from the phone I would like to mention that we are a lesbian couple. My partner has always gone to barber shops for a reason but this is the first time she has ever been treated this rudely.

I asked if they did designs, showed him what I wanted and I have no earthly idea what ended up on the back of my head. It looked like some stone-age or Egyptian carvings for, I just lied when I said I could cut hair.Never again.

Wasnt that great. I used clippers at home to blend at the top for the fade cause she didnt do what I asked. Didnt notice I had to clean up the cut until I got home and used a mirror to check out the back also. Oh well, but beside I wont be going back it is a visually appealing nice place. No soda drink offered like before.. not a problem but when did they stop serving them to guests?

Sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for them to do my spouses hair cut when one of them had an open chair. Then someone walks in and they wait 5 minutes and then call them first!??! It was too slow to say that they didnt know who came first. His excuse was that he didnt feel comfortable with cutting her style of hair....seriously you wait until you call the other guy first to say that. He shouldve said excuse me maam would you mind if I take care of this other customer first because Im not very sure of myself yet with that kind of hair cut. And then let her decide if she was ok with being passed up. We had to actually get up and walk towards the door before someone said a word to us.....seriously. 😡
