Veronica and Sergio are doing an amazing job with the property. Upgrades to the pool and fitness center are great. Anything you need, they will take care of you.

I am moving across the country and have been in contact with Mrs. Veronica. And let me say that she is AWESOME!!! She helped me with so much and was always there to answer questions. Kept me up to date with everything going on. Based off her professionalism alone I am satisfied.

The application process was extremely easy & the manager Linda was very helpful & attentive to what I was looking for. The price & overall appearance of my 2 bedroom 2 bath is absolutely amazing. The new property manager, Veronica is patient with a servants head who diligently does her best to assist everyone who walks in her door. If youre looking for an apartment complex that cares, shes has revamped this place to embody exactly that.

The apartment manager Veronica is great. She came while I had already moved in. She is very professional and she takes to listen and if there are any complaints she is quick to have them resolved. The apartment is nice and I haven’t had any problems since I’ve moved in.

We needed to move fairly quickly and Linda has been so wonderful in making the transition so smoothly. She is so kind in answering my many questions. Im so glad that we have found a home here.

We lived in apartments next door to Colony Uptown.. and let me start off by saying that complex is GHETTO. At all hours of the night, people are arguing, fighting, yelling, and cursing. It feels so unsafe to even park our vehicle and walk in the parking lot. Some of ColonyUptowns residents are shady. Even during the day, some of those folks are being loud and causing a lot of ruckus.Be careful moving your family and children into this place.

Wish there was a way to give 0 stars for the miscommunication and lies! They have actual tenants posting online on their behalf saying they work there and giving out the wrong information! If I wouldve known what was told to me was incorrect, I wouldve never spent my money on applying! The property manager is unprofessional and gave incorrect info as well. Maintenance is always in the office not working. You cant even have a Private conversation without them being all in your business! I am currently waiting on Regional to call me back! The apartments are nice but I wouldnt refer anyone to live here because of the Unprofessionalism!!In response to your comment, admin couldnt help me either. They were just as rude and unprofessional as the property manager! I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks for a response from the owners Leslie and David and still no response. I have turned yall in to Fair Housing.

After looking at other apartments in the area, I found Colony Uptown clean and neat. The landscape is very attractive and well cared for. The new management is extremely friendly and informative. They have been making many great improvements since taking over. I really like that it is quiet and very secure. Cant beat the location.

When I first moved here, the original manager was great and very on top of things, her name was Elsa. Since she’s no longer there and it’s another manager or I actually don’t know, anyone is rarely in office. Manager gets paid for free. I’ve called in maintenance for over 2 months now and nothing. There’s black mold and nothing has been done. Roach infested and they love sleeping buddies, So don’t be shy. Been threatened by the manager. I don’t feel safe here and don’t feel safe anywhere honestly, with the world the way it is But being “home” is the one place I should be able to feel safe but no longer is a place I can call home, I no longer feel safe here. I’ve had my car hit and keyed here.

I moved in Oct 2018 I loved the apartments for the roominess and the decor, but the fixture of things take forever I have still no kitchen cabinets. I had a water leak from upstairs and has been fixed several times but stills remains to leak. The office is close more then a normal office, but they do work with you when there are rent issues, love that about them. I love my apartment but the neighbors upstairs have a lot of small kids and it sounds like a day care upstairs and make a lot of noise. The office had told me about the lady moving in with the kids and stated as soon as there was a down stairs available she would be moving there, so far hasnt happened. I would recommend someone to move in The Colony Uptown.

I agree roach infested bad neighbors and staff wont do anything about it ! And after so many complaints still till this day I have no hot water in my masters bathroom sink all cabinets throughout the apartment are not working and missing doors. kitchen counter was never finished so it looks like one giant cutting board ! The staff manager looks for any little thing to charge you with from trash electric and water rent for some reason just keeps going up. Just so everyone would know as soon as my lease is up or if I can do it before I am out of this dump I send this message out to everybody so you will know what you’re getting into do your research first for yourself and really if you can find something else before great for you otherwise I have no reason to lie or gain anything so good luck to anyone trying to come here.. and just to note if I were you if you move here ? check the air-conditioner vents for molding because they all have them and there’s a paper you signed that you don’t read in the fine print that states about molding.. good luck to you all.

My apartment has had mold the last 4 months and the manager has done nothing to fix it. So to top off the roach infestation and my sons breathing problems due to this problem Id recommend anything but this. Ive had 4 leaks since I moved in. My furniture is infested. Its not liveable she told me shes going to take me to court and I cant wait. I have so many videos and pictures. I cant even turn off my lights without waking up to roaches everywhere. They come out the vents theyre in alll my stuff...I wish I never moved here

Im glad I made my own decision after seeing the negative reviews. I toured the property this weekend. Kelley the new manager explained that the property is under new management and they are quickly fixing the problems. We toured the property and I could see that changes and upgrades were happening all around. We toured the newly upgraded apartments and they were first class. They thought of it all new appliances, flooring, cabinets, tile, paint. Kelley said that the new management really cared about the property and their tenants and was excited to be working with them on this transformation.

I toured the property. The NEW management company is great, they are making improvements to the community. The office and she is attentive, kind and very helpful. Would definitely refer others to this apartment.

Notice the date in the bottom right corner of this screenshot.The heater never worked the entire year I lived here, and the roof was leaking for 6 months. they cut my ceiling out, patched it, and did not properly fix the roof, so it kept leaking.Thankfully my lease is up in April. If youre desperate for a roof over your head there are better options than here. Roach infested, crackhead neighbors and no staff in the office ever.They bring in staff from another property part time, and are usually late and leave before closing time, sometimes no one is even there on a weekday! The mailman a few times dropped a package I really needed off at 1pm, and I couldnt retrieve it at 3:30 pm on a Friday. Had to wait until Monday and pray they opened on time, at noon. Dont live here.They are wasting time upgrading all the empty apartments around me, with wooden blinds and brand new appliances, and upgraded countertops. Meanwhile my 2 year old is freezing and playing in rain buckets on my living room floor.

Improving, but not quite enough. Ive lived here since July of 2017. I moved in- in spite of the negative reviews. I moved into an upgraded apartment. If not for the roaches and ridiculous upstairs neighbors who allow their children to run and stomp like they are not on a second floor- I would love my apartment! As it stands- Im only giving three stars. I will say that the property is trying to get rid of the roaches, but it is not enough! I have lived in apartments older than this and never had any pest issues. You cant cook or bake or leave anything on a cooling rack, kitchen counter or dining table! Its ridiculous. I dont even use any of the cabinets or drawers for this very reason. If you are from a household where you are used to seeing roaches everyday (several times a day) or every other day- so its business as usual for you- then you may not have such an issue with this place. However, for me- I am out of here as soon as my lease is up. As for management- I say theyve improved over whoever was previously here, but I will say that my AC was out for a month and only the last week did they provide me any type of temporary AC or window unit. Not cool. If you are going to move here- get a second floor apartment and be prepared for the roaches. I live alone, no pets, only eat in my kitchen and dining area- never leave dishes in the sink and due to trash valet- I put my trash out every night and still the roaches come- you will find them in your refrigerator and freezer! The Colony Uptown loses a star for the roaches and a star for the thin floors- I am frequently woken up due to the stomping upstairs. Another issue is all the additional fees- my rent including my reserved covered spot (the only reason I rented here in the first place!) should only be $1,010, but with additional charges (not clearly explained before or after signing my lease)- I consistently pay an additional $150 a month. Not the worse place to live by any means, but there are a lot better properties, plus I miss having a patio- another negative for me.

We went through about 10-12 mrgs and about 4 owners in 5 years. These were the worst apartments I have ever lived in. EVER mold everywhere. Window on door broke due to heater not working, it was so sold it shattered when I knocked on the door. To replace it they put plexiglass, they never water anything I had dirt for a yard and all the bushes were burnt. Huge ginormous roaches, possibly because apartments are right above the Ed’s aquifer reserves refill. Don’t live here

These has been the longest months of my life. Please read my entire review before you make your decision on making this place your home. I have been living here since January. It has been one thing after another. I pay my rent before it is due, I pay my other charges when they are due such as water, electric, trash, etc...I have never been late. The office/management staff can never be contacted. All you ever get is the answering machine, to me that is not good or decent customer service. I have washer and dryer connections in my apartment, however the laundry room for the other residents is dirty and needs to be cleaned on a weekly rotation. Now if this is something that has to be done by the residents, then post the rules in the laundry room. The foyer to my building needs to be cleaned at least once a month if not bi-weekly. If this is something the apartment complex is not going to do, then post the rules for keeping the building clean. The up keep is very important of the community that you live in. Management may not live on the property, however, the residents that live here deserve to live in a clean and safe environment. The handle to the foyer is broken, this is not the first time. I have reported it...I have called the emergency number...no response..safety is now an issue for me. We have many residents that have pets on the property. Please clean up after your pets. When you do not clean up after your pet, and it rains it contaminates our water through the water cycle. The apt complex should post signs asking residents to please clean up after their pets. Last thing, It is way too hot for residents to leave trash on their patios, this will attract bugs and rodents. If you are never on property how can you address these issues.......A concerned and feed up resident.

Living here is very scary. Never know when something is gonna break on you. Been without power since 4 in the morning and they arent treating this as an emergency. Never been late on a bill yet they give us attitude when we request for them to fix our ac. Definitely not a recommended place youll wanna live. All of our refrigerated items are about to spoil yet nobody is coming to fix the power :(

At first I was turned off by the previous negative reviews. But the property has undergone a good change since some new owners took over. The bad residents are getting thrown out along with roaches and pests. New upgrades, clean up etc. Just wish the property had a dog park.

Recently toured the apartment. We really like destinee in the leasing office. She anwsered any and all questions and concerns we have had. We decided on a upgraded apartment and look forward to moving this week. Things we liked was that it seemed very safe. There is a school across the street. We dont have kids but like the sense of community it seemed to have.

Very bad rat problem and very bad roach problem. They use moth balls wich are very hazardous to animals and humans to try and rid them. We had a newborn and told them that the mothballs were a problem for her and our health and they tried arguing that they were safe. Very unproffesional

The apartment seem so nice when you move in, almost feels like this place could work out. Think again. Anything and everything is wrong with these apartments. When we moved in our bill was $800, which was ok for the area, next to North Star Mall and all. But after new managment came our bill is now $1,800. For an apartment?This place is roach infested, they never go away, cats all over the place. Management come up with ridiculous charges. We are surely paying for these little things they want to add. A wall around our dumpsters? I would perfer a roach free apartment. If the new manager just came into running these apartments, and within the first months raised the rent dramatically, Dont you think he will do it again?DO NOT LIVE HERE, IT IS UGLY AND TERRIBLE. MANAGEMENT IS MAKING LIVING HARDER. THEY ARE CRIMINALS TRYING TO TAKE HARD EARNED MONEY. Please think before moving your loved ones here, And my advice, DONT.

Dont ever expect any type of credit I have been without ac close to a week and also to say it broke already twice this month .THE MANAGEMENT TOLD ME DO I wish I had that for my home I was once without ac for A weeek like really felt as in she said for us to deal with it !! I have called over and and never got a call back . This place is also infested with roaches and due to the fact now I dont have ac working they tempted to come out more now . Also they have us leave our trash outside so they can pick up , I now have to deal with a huge possum ripping the bag or knocking all my trash down . Also my brother in law got his truck stolen from the parking lot and call the office they pretty much said they couldnt do anything for what had happen, what they should do is get security walking around. Also another thing a lady was in the office today that one of the residents that is on this property is following her kids around . Its sad to know you cant even feel safe to even be here with your own kids and I saw an another review which is 100% accurate there is cats everywhere in the apppartment complex . I really wish you rethink into moving into these apartments i have never gone through so much stress in my dam life until I moved in I wish i could get up and leave but I would hate for this to affect me in the long run 1200 is really over priced for poor quality and poor communication PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME INTO EVEN LOOKING INTO STAYING IN THESE APPARMENTS

Ive been living here since April and at first it was nice, quiet. Then our roof started leaking, the maintenance man patched it up, but failed to fix the roof, so it started leaking again, same spot. Few months go by and it gets really cold, go to turn on the heater and it doesnt work... Its been 4 months and it still hasnt been fixed, Ive put a request in 3 times, maitenence was kind enough to give us a space heater, but that can do so much and I have a 2 year old running around as well. Then it got really windy these last few days and we heard scraping on the roof, turns out the patchwork they did on the roof got ripped off because of high winds; Im crossing my fingers hoping it doesnt rain anytime soon. If your looking for a cheap apartment complex that are borderline slum lords this place is it. Wont be signing another lease and I wouldnt recommend living here given the shotty maitenence service. When I try to go to the office nobody is there, when they said they should be, I have to wait days to get my packages. This place is quiet but not worth the headache.

First my apartment is filled with roaches nobody has came by to spray nor fix the problem. 2nd 4month here and my husbands truck got stolen the gates are always breaking and are left open late. 3rd my ac has been out 2 times this month 1st time they took over 24hours to fix but they didnt even fix it 1 week passes by and it brakes again Thursday night called emergency line no one called back left over 8 messages and no one was ever in the office. Come Monday iam still without air. HELLO it is so f***** hot in April 4 days with out air and I have yet to speak or get a hold of management. No one is ever at the office!! Finally someone opens the office Monday afternoon there was 3 people in there complaining how there was a man 2 units down from her folllowing her kids. Another lady complaining about unexpectedly rent costs going up without notice. Then there was me complaining about my damm ac the lady that was at the office was a temp and hade no idea what she was doing. I demanded to talk to the manger got her on the phone and told me she couldnt do anything about it that she was renting a home and her ac was out for a week and she hade to wait!! What in the world does that have to do with me? So she was basically saying to suck it up she was so rude!! AND I STILL HAVE TO WAIT TILL TOMORROW (Tuesday) for someone to fix my air. This is not the way you treat a paying renter I pay over 1000 a moth to live here!!!! And with no ac ?? It is not worth it !!! Do not make this big mistake and live here it is a waist of hardworking earned money. They do not care about there coustomers. Stay away !!! I am the type of person to never take my time and write reviews but this one is way much worth it. TAKE MY ADVICE ANND ALL THESE OTHERE 1 STAR REVIWERS AND DO NOT MOVE HERE !!! 11/2020-Years later & different management... same rudeness. Was told apt was able to view. Took 45 minutes to make it to appt & when I got there Linda said it wasnt ready & she couldnt show it. I had expressly said on the phone which apts I wanted to see & was told one was not ready & it was bad she didnt even feel like going in there to start it but she could show me the other. Then I took off work early, arrived & was told no, I couldnt see it. She then looked at me in disbelief that I didnt want to see another one because they are all the same. No they are not. Last month she showed me one & said that but was surprised when I pointed out no W/D connections after she told me they all had them. It was also dirty & had roaches. So I want to see actual apt I will be renting. New mngt doesnt seem to know community well & dont manage their website, where it says apts are ready to lease now but then say they wont be ready for maybe another month. Too many unanswered questions. Thanks for wasting our time. We will move on. 03/2016-Too many problems with management, especially the farther up you try to go. Priscilla, I believe the Regional Managers name is. SMH. She is rude and uncaring of the simplest things they are bound to by contract. Office never answers the phone, never returns messages, & are often closed during business hours. Got a dirty apartment when I moved in. Couldnt even vacuum it. Items wrong at move in didnt get fixed, so, I finally disconnected the doorbell becuz it wouldnt stop buzzing. Had to put my moving blankets over the door anytime it was cold (huge gaps all around. They never installed weatherstripping). New heater was never hooked up, so no heat for more than 9 mos. It took mos of complaining to fix a/c. Chose not to battle for heat. Dryers vent directly into the apt, so the temperature rises 4 or 5 degrees everytime you use it (helps when its 60 degrees in apt but made a/c run a lot when it was hot). Management entered my apt without permission (Priscilla signed the text message telling me she put a package in my apt) when I was not there and destroyed my personal property. Grounds never cleaned. Trash remains for weeks at a time. All bills are apparently split between residents, cuz no matter how much I tried to lower my utilities & water by regulating the a/c at a higher temp & not using my stove or dishwasher for months, it would still be $175. The neighborhood doesnt feel safe, but the gates and locked buildings help. Maintenance was friendly but not always helpful. The apt was a good size. Upgrades were not professionally installed, but appliances were new. Cabinets & hinges were thick with layers of paint. My tub/shower were painted but it not smooth finish. Walls are thin. Can hear neighbors conversations, as well as smell what they were cooking through my vents. Sometimes it was not good smelling food. :)No insects for months, until a neighbor moved out. Then I battled them for a few months before leaving. The location is convenient to 410 and 281, but I think there are other highway friendly communities where you do not have to feel neglected & abused.
