Great experience with Ikes Air Conditioning. Very professional and efficient. Richard diagnosed the problems with my old system in a way that was clear and gave me confidence he knew what he was doing. After a little research, I determined the price to replace the system was fair and the new system was of good quality. I had a short schedule and Ikes replaced the system within 24 hours. Nathan and Watson did a great job, worked quickly, and kept me appraised of the progress. Im now sitting in a nice 72-deg house. I highly recommend Ikes.

Sent inquiry late at night, received a call first thing in the morning, set a meeting up right away. Mini split AC consultation went great, technician was very knowledgeable and professional. Brandon went above and beyond getting my mini split installed. Copper line, drain tube, and power cord were neatly connected. My previously used equipment needed a lot of TLC and he made it look and work like brand new. Accommodated my new house set up perfectly. Very happy with the service. Highly recommend.

I called to ask for a ductless air conditioner. The girl could not give any information. Gave me the address stating it was at a shopping center which is not, it is some warehouses. Then I get there and it is closed on Saturdays. She should have mentioned they were closed. If this is the kind of customer service provided before I even buy anything, imagine after they get my money...

We had to have our HVAC system replaced, about a week before Christmas. Everyone on Ike’s team was courteous, professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Richard, Bill, Brandon and the rest of the work crew were on time and worked to get our job completed in time for Christmas. Priscilla was very helpful with completing the energy rebate forms, scheduling, and answering questions. Frank came out for a final walk-through to make sure everything was as it should be. Overall, this has been the best experience we’ve had with any contractor in San Antonio!

If youre looking for a great company to upgrade or simply install a new system then I highly recommend Ikes. We spent weeks looking for a A/C company to assist us in upgrading our current system for a home we had recently purchased. We met with 3 different companies and Ikes came in with the best price by far, not to mention they were upfront about our current systems and did not try to sell us anything we didnt need. We first met with Bill and Frank who walked us through all the options for our current systems. They were extremely professional and kept everything upfront and honest. They were quick to come out an inspect our home even with all the craziness going on, they were able to work with our schedule. Once we explained to them that previous companies were offering us outrageous pricing with equipment that seemed extremely marked up based on the research we ourselves had conducted, they offered the perfect solution. Once we decided on what we wanted their crew of installers (Nathan, Richard, and Watson) came out within a day and began the install process. They were very thorough and respectful of our house. They worked vigorously to make sure that our systems were working as quickly and smoothly as possible, to make sure we didnt go one second without conditioned air so we didnt have to suffer through this Texas heat. So again. if youre in the market, I highly recommend you give the office a call and ask for Priscilla. She will make sure that you are taken care of and get you set up with a appointment as soon as possible.

My experience was fantastic from start to finish. I chatted with someone online first. Then within an hour a customer representative called me. Within a couple hours a technician was at our door. His name is Richard and he was amazing. So nice. Very warm and genuine. So knowledgable and professional. And incredibly good at explaining our furnace system and how to maintain it. Richard quickly determined that the system was in good working order, but we had a faulty thermostat. We choose the thermostat option that was best for us and he installed a new one. Our system went down on the last evening of the week of the winter blasts that hit Texas hard. This morning, I googled hvac service providers. Ikes popped up on the map and was located not far from my home. So I looked up their website and read a couple reviews. I liked that its family owned since 1972. I was so relieved that Ikes A/C could get Richard out to our home so quickly. Even though temperatures have now warmed up a bit, Im thrilled our system is back up and running and more than thrilled with Richard and Ikes Air Conditioning. Im now very motivated to have them back for preventative maintenance on the whole system, which has been on my list since buying this home 3 years.

Richard was very polite, knowledgeable and informative, educating me on my system and proper maintenance. I called them for a second opinion as the first company I called blew me out of the water with their low-ball offer. I just needed the drainage pipe cleaned out and the coil cleaned off. This other well known company tried to gouge me for over $1700! I was like Nope! I got Ikes A.C repair number from my realtor and called them. They came the next day, and allayed my fears and cleaned the drain out after repairing it a bit. Fixed my issue for a fraction of what the other guys tried to charge me. We will be using Ikes from now on. And Richard is awesome, ask for him! Thanks yall!

Start with Priscilla who took my order and set the time I got good professional treatment. Richard can out yesterday and because my unit is 28 years old he did what he could and ordered a new fan when he returned to the office. Today by noon Scott and Nathan were at the house to install a new condenser fan. It wasnt cheap, but I got my old ac up and running. Ikes went above and beyond the norm to take care of me. My ac unit shut down and I thought it was the thermostat.Turned out it was a major clog in the drain. Richard the technician found the problem right away and explained everything about it. Next he took care of the thermostat. He replaced it with exactly what I wanted. Richard gave me directions as to how to take care of the drain and prevent it from being a problem again and using my new thermostat.I have used IKES for 20 years and they are fantastic.Richard was the best. These people left my elderly parents without A/C in the middle of a south Texas summer for almost two weeks. Come to find out from one of their own employees, no less, that the problem was just some switch he had to flip. I cant remember the name of the switch but it literally took the tech like 30 seconds to walk outside and do whatever he did and come back in with the A/C finally running. This was almost two weeks after the problem was reported. They did finally grudgingly furnish my folks with a portable AC which I found out, again from the guy who ended up fixing the AC, that they had these portable A/Cs just sitting around their warehouse. So, either there was a SEVERE lack of communication going on or, probably more likely, nobody felt like rushing to get my Parents; whom were excellent and lifelong customers, AC back on for them.

Richard fixed my outside unit issue quickly and even made sure that my inside unit was working properly to ensure it would be nice and cool in the upcoming summer months. Excellent work by John installing a new compressor on an existing Mitsubishi ducted mini-split system. Very knowledgeable, thorough, and the company is quite responsive. They were even able to get a Mitsubishi wireless controller properly programmed that another company didnt do. I highly recommend these folks! If you are getting a quote on a Mitsubishi (or other) mini-split somewhere else, you would be wise to check with this company too. They know their stuff with Mitsubishi.

We experienced a recent AC crash and called Ikes for repair. They were onsite within one hour, diagnosed the problem, and offered solutions to our summertime dilemma. We opted for a new unit (old unit trashed and 15 y.o.) and was to they would be out the following morning for a new install. Ikes field foreman Frank, was able to install a couple portable units to accommodate us overnight, which I thought was very professional. The next morning, the field techs arrived and worked diligently and professionally to install the unit. Overall, Im impressed by the professionalism, quality, and the field techs knowledge. A great AC company and highly recommend for any AC-related issues.

We had our upstairs AC unit blowing hot air. Over 95 degrees upstairs and making our downstairs unit work hard making it 80 downstairs. During this time of COVID19 everyone is home. IKE’S was super quick with getting someone (Richard) out. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it, ensured both units are 100% operational and was very friendly the whole time. Each spring I have my 2 AC units serviced and inspected in preparation for the hot San Antonio summer. Last spring I heard a noise coming from the smaller unit and had to use a AC company dictated by the home warranty company. Since then I got rid of the home warranty company and went back to the the AC company that has always done a terrific job for my home, Ikes Air Conditioning!!! They were professional, polite, informative and conscientious. I had noticed that the smaller unit was struggling to keep up. The service team at Ikes found the issue (it was what the AC company last Spring had supposedly fixed. Ikes were thorough and took time to explain things. They cleaned up and took care of everything. Great Job!!!

Less than 24 hours from getting our quote to installation, my family was able to sleep comfortably with a brand new system. Several of my neighbors all went with Ikes AC and im so glad we did too. This was the first time we used Ikes to replace our 2 stage heat pump. The technicians were very knowledgable, friendly, and worked diligently all day to get the system up and running properly. The owner even stopped by to be sure all was going smoothly with the install. I bought a brand new Rude A/C system from IKE’s less than two years ago. I have already had them out twice and now I need them a 3rd time. First time, just over a year, the tech said there was a factory default that caused all my Freon to leak out, so he “patched” it and refilled my unit for $200. Then Ike tells me they would replace the unit, but I would have to pay labor ($2,000-$3,000)?!?!? Second time, 8 months later (after I threatened to get a layer) tech tells me there is no defect and the first guy over charged my unit. So the first guy lied and Ike kept my $200 for false services. Now one month after the last guy my system is not cooling right. So it seems IKE can’t get their story straight. Which is it? Problem? No Problem?If this is their business practices run as fast as you can to other companies! They have to be better than theses guys!Response to owner’s response:Customer response to lies:We have gone above and beyond trying to help Curtis. We let him make multiple in house payments on a new system with ZERO interest because of his inability to qualify for financing so his family wouldnt suffer in May of 2018.***Again false statement: the interest was added in per a conversation with the owner and split into payments as advertised by the company.This winter working directly with factory Ruud reps on his issues. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic extended the availability of the factory reps which was beyond our control.***only after I made repeated attempts to get the issues resolved.His system is working perfectly through this extended July heatwave. Until this 3rd visit he mentioned. I am bewildered how he makes these inaccurate statements then continue to call us for service????Inaccurate, interesting!On the last visit, my technician found and discussed with Curtiss wife, a lack of filter maintenance. The air filter was found fully loaded with dirt and animal hair.Lie!!! The filter was less than two weeks old as I replace it twice a month.In addition, the homes original 18-year-old drain line was restricted causing the overflow switch to shut the system off.***Why does the age matter...if your company had done its job in the installation, “18” years would not have been an issue.My technician discussed the lack of filter maintenance with Curtiss wife, she agreed that they have not consistently maintained the filter.***lie again, but why can you expect an honest response until now.We did not charge the customer for getting his system running even though it was not the fault of the equipment or our company.***hmmm, didn’t charge me after you failed to provide a refund for services your technician lied about me needing!

If a -5 Star was an option, Ike’s AC would receive it! This so-called professional AC Service is TERRIBLE! My husband and I “were” long time customers until we recently found out the truth of their service. We upgraded our AC unit (inside & out) and naturally gave Ike’s the first chance to earn our business based on our long customer service relationship. They sent their rep out who spent 15 minutes max at the house and promised a quote within a few days. The quote never arrived and we had to *ping* him to get it (that should have been our first clue). We also arranged for several other leading companies to provide quotes. We decided to go with a new company based on their presentation, competence, and price (Ike’s was not even in the ball park)! Well, the new company came out and installed the new system and found a severe mold issue in the old blower and inside housing. There was even mold growing on the wiring. Keep in mind, we just had Ike’s out about a month ago to service the unit and nothing was mentioned nor was anything (obviously) properly inspected! Greatly disappointed...

After many frustrating months of trying to find a dependable AC repair company, my neighbors recommended Ikes and they were SO RIGHT! Ikes wonderfully patient Javier came out twice to fix the dripping coils issue, explaining to me why and what he was doing. When he finally gave me the news we all dread that I needed both units replaced (which I figured deep down was needed anyway), again he patiently answered what were probably silly questions, but was very honest in his evaluation. Talking with and arranging new units and prices with wonderful Priscilla and Gerald made the whole process less painless than in all my years of dealing with AC companies, hats off to you both! And MEGA thanks to installers John and Victor!! They were so quick and efficient I was in awe of them both. And kudos to both of them for putting up with my over eager big dog! It is a shame that I have to give this company at least a 1 Star.On the fist day of this 2 day job, I was charged $750 just for the labor to replace the coil. This was the second evaporator coil replacement since they installed a completely new unit in 2013. On the second day I was charged almost $3000 to install new refrigerant lines because they claimed that the original lines had a leak somewhere in the walls of my home. Just recently they charged me $350 to blow the mold out of the condensate line and that job took approximately 25 minutes. After I complained by email, the owner emailed back and said he had torn up the $350 check.Grease spots have happened on my carpet because they did not lay down a tarp. My furnace closet door frame was busted and not replaced when it had to be removed to install the 2nd coil. Sharp shards of sheet metal were left in my back yard when they did the refrigerant line replacement.Lastly, no matter how hard I try, I just cant seem to get an itemized invoice from them for any of the jobs completed. I want to know what the parts cost and the labor as a separate line item.Please do research before choosing this company. Check Yelp, Google Maps, and the San Antonio Better Business Bureau.

Our AC went out. We were hoping a technician could come out to repair. Ikes AC sent out a technician and charged us $90, and basically told us that we needed new units, at a price point of $7000. The next day we had a different technician from a different company come out. He changed the motor for under $300, and the AC works better than before. The $90 for Ikes AC was not worth it. Would not return to them for any form of service.UPDATE:. When I asked the AC repairman if we could install a more efficient thermostat, like a nest. He said Oh no, it probably would break your existing system, because its too new. You would have to update your entire system before you could add a wifi connected thermostat..2ND UPDATE: Ikes said our outdoor condenser was not compatible with the inside unit, recommending we replace both systems. Several years later, we were told by a more honest repairman that our system was indeed compatible, and we had the outdoor unit replaced at a fraction of Ikes cost. This company will say anything to put you in debt.Since then we have installed a nest thermostat, and receive the CPS discounts without any problems with the current system.Do not trust this company, they will say whatever they can to convince you to purchase a new system for your entire house. Whatever they tell you, get a second opinion. As a matter of fact, dont waste the $90 assessment fee, to have them tell you that you need a $8000 replacement.

When Ikes was owned by Ike, they did a great job for me. Then something went wrong with this company. They over charged me for an A/C tune up. I watched the tech from the bedroom window and he did nothing to the unit. He said he cleaned out the unit of leaves, but he did not. He then said he added a pound of refrigerate. He never even touched the unit. He also said to add Drano to the drain line instead of vinegar. Drano does not work because it just sits in the pipe. Vinegar has worked for me since 2005. I will NEVER use this provider again!

I had IKES install a tankless water heater and repair my AC unit. They did an outstanding job. The crew was both courteous and professional. And they went above and beyond to get everything done in a timely manner. I even have them coming back next week to install a mini split unit. Ikes has been servicing our two HVAC systems for a number of years. Our downstairs system consisted of a 21 year compressor and a 16 year old furnace. The blower motor has always been annoyingly loud and finally died last week. Ikes offered to replace it, but we decided to upgrade the entire system instead. They installed an Amana two-stage 16 seer 3 ton unit. I was very concerned about the noise level as the unit is located at one end of the kitchen. Bill (owner) assured me that this unit is the quietest Amana offers. We are extremely happy with the performance a quietness of the system.The team at Ikes starting with Priscilla the office manager to the installers Pete, John, Brandon, and Frank were all very attentive to my needs. They did an outstanding job installing the new system as well as painting the furnace closet, re-decking the closet floor, sealing it and all areas that could draw hot air from the attic not to mention how tidy everything looks inside the closet.I will continue to use Ikes for our service and maintenance needs andwould highly recommend them for replacement work as well.

IKES Air Conditioning has always been there for me. Whenever I have had an AC problem they have always came out promptly. A couple of weeks ago my 16 year old AC system went out and I decided to replace it vs repair it. I was really impressed how fast they came out and installed the new system. It’s a combination of a good price and great customer service that will keep me as a customer for life!

I just wanted to give a review that is overdue... two years ago, Ikes Air helped me when my air conditioner kicked the bucket (a short life span of 5 years) and replaced it with its upgraded warrantied model.Yesterday, the compressor was diagnosed and fixed, all within hours of finding the problem. Like all emergencies, it was over the weekend and never convenient. My daughter had to go to Camp Grandma, while my husband and I had to endure a house with 90+ degree temperatures. Thanks to Jeannette Morales , Gerald, and others (I apologize--I think it was Henry and Victor) for the fabulous response time and work to make our home habitable again during a typical Texas summer.

Last weekend it was 104 degrees and our ac went out. We called several companies but nobody was able to provide service that day. Luckily we found Ike’s. I am sure they were just as busy but Jeannette, the dispatch was very helpful and sent me out a very knowledgeable technician. Gerald diagnosed the problem and got us up and running the same day. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up for Ike’s ac.

Top notch experience from start to finish. Our AC went out on the hottest day of the year - Ikes Air conditioning was able to come out the same day I called and diagnose the problem. Gerald was professional and nice - explained everything that was wrong and what needed to be fixed. The next day Pete came out to fix the problems and we were back in business within 2 hours. I have used Ikes several times over the past few years. Gerald is my go-to trusted guy there. This time, I had to replace my upstairs unit. Gerald and the Team did a great job. Their pricing was competitive with other quotes I got AND they were able to get the unit installed that same day whereas other places I spoke with would have taken 2-3 days to get to me. Pete and Josh did the install and did a great, professional job. Pete and Vick came out days later for a follow up and to do an air seal test of my HVAC system which I appreciated.

The technician arrived on-schedule, was very thorough and methodical in his investigation of our A/C problems. The repairs were accomplished quickly and the charges were reasonable for what he did. Not a rip off...but extortion!!I called this company because they were the installer (prior to use buying the house), and it was still in warranty.I was quoted $1184 to fix my AC that wasnt cooling. For a Contactor, a Run Cap (jargon for capacitor), and for a hard start kit, and the service call fee.When I started to write it all down so I could go over it with my husband, thats when he told me I dont need the hard start kit. The $449 item he was just trying to sneak in there. Never tried to explain what it was or why I might need it, just added it to the list.Obviously I did NOT have him repair this.My husband bought an $18 contactor (per the parts manual) fro the AC parts store, 30 min to install it, and now its working just fine!$18 part and they were going to charge me $1184.Dont even THINK about using this company!!

There service may be good but who ever drives their trucks needs to have their license reevaluated. He tailgated my car for almost a mile and I was unable to switch lanes. Mind you i had a 3 month old and 5 year old in the backseat. VERY unprofessional!

Ikes has gone above and beyond for me from start to finished. Gerald gave me a call as soon as i finished the online schduling (fastest call back i got out of all the companies i was getting estimates from) came out to give me an estimate and tell me what was the issue with my old unit and gave me finance options . Victor and Henry came the very next day to install the new unit . Giving info on everything they were doing and why. And to top it all when i had a issue they came after hours to check it out and fix it. you can tell that these men take pride in their work. This company didnt make me feel like just another customer but like someone they generally cared to help. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat
