The Salt Lake Scooter store was a great place to purchase a scooter. We worked with Jordan and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the scooters, making the decision very easy to purchase. All our questions were answered with no hesitation and we were very happy with our purchase. I would definitely recommend coming here for your scooter needs, whether its new or used.

Ive taken my electric scooter here a couple of times. Once to replace gear sprocket and chain because its a frustrating repair and I just didnt want to do it but they did and did a great job:-) also they are one of few places that will even touch an electric scooter. I never tried the only other two shops in Utah who repair electric because I had no need to after trying this place first... I recently purchased an upgrade, better, faster scooter. But received damage in shipping, I will be taking it here to get fixed 🙂

Owner is very friendly, helpful, and seems honest. So far my experience buying a scouter has been very positive. They are very busy however so they are kind of hard to reach and slow to get back to you.

Evidently, SL Scooter needed my money more than I did. They said they fixed my scooter and charged me $300.. It has the same exact problems post fixing as it did when I brought it in. Unfortunately, their business practices are to NOT make the customer happy. One would hope that they would do the upstanding thing and actually fix the problem at no extra charge because of the major inconveniences. (Almost getting hit by several cars on the way home trying to get the bike off the road) After taking it back the second time, they said they found the problem but would not share it or fix it because of my review. Lack of accountability, customer service and maturity. $300 bucks and I still cant ride my scooter.

I gave them a nearly impossible repair job, unknowingly, and they still delivered. The pricing for the work was more than reasonable. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Issues from the start. For starters, the buying process was underwhelming. I purchased a brand new Genuine Stella 150 from these guys (Jordan and Hunter) and I know it may seem a little insignificant, but not even a handshake when we closed the deal. I was living in Herriman at the time and on my drive home from the dealership the scooter kept choking and dying while I was on Bangerter Highway. I called the shop and Jordan told me to switch to the reserve fuel supply. This wasnt on my radar as my past scooters were moderns without a valve to switch between primary and reserve fuel supplies. So these guys sent me on my way without going over the scooter features and without a full tank of fuel.From the day I bought it the scooter never really ran right and I just thought it was because it was a cheaper scooter and thought it might get better after the break-in period. I ended up moving out of state and returned to SLC a year later. I still had the same issues regarding performance and the kick start lever splines had sheared off so I brought the scooter to the Salt Lake Scooter Company for warranty work and the first service. They told me they did a complete fuel system service, replaced the battery, and warrantied the kick starter. I was happy because the scooter actually ran decent for a couple of months.I rode the scooter to the Mountain Meadow Mayhem Scooter Rally in July and on a ride, suddenly my scooter started to die whenever I gave it throttle. I decided I had enough of these guys and limped the scooter to another local repair shop. I couldnt go more than 20 mph. Turns out a tube in the carburetor was never properly installed and had just come off. I was pissed that I had to pay to fix work that the Salt Lake Scooter Company incompetently did. I also had to pay for a battery strap which I had just barely put on before I took it into Salt Lake Scooter Company. It appears that when they replaced my battery they just never put it back on. Absolutely horrible customer service and horrible repair service. If you want work done right, save your money and time and go elsewhere. The Scooter Lounge in Provo and Blue Planet Scooters in Salt Lake City are far more competent than Jordan and Hunter at Salt Lake Scooter Company.

After reading some reviews it appears Im not the only one that had bad luck with getting service performed here. I took my scooter in when it wouldnt start and told them from my uneducated opinion it seemed like it was a fuel issue. paid over $250 and when I picked it up they said it was a fuel issue and the tech had a hard time getting it started which looking back I should have questioned them then as to what they did and why it still wouldnt start. the issue persisted and took it into a shop in bountiful, they fixed the issue for $60. I was recommended here on high marks but personally had bad luck.

Customer service could probably be better. Nice guys, but not good at returning phone calls or letting you know when parts arrive, etc. Love my new Sym Symba!

Dont take your scooter here for repair. I made this mistake and after months of no word, or repair.... I finally wrote the scooter off as a complete loss.

I bought a scooter from a guy off Facebook and met him at this shop to purchase it. The scooter was apparently already in line to be fixed (all it needed was a new wheel.) That was May 8th 2020. It took multiple phone calls and showing up in person twice to finally get the repair completed on May 26th 2020. (The initial quote was a week at most to complete the repair.) The lack of communication and string of broken promises on timeline of completion are unacceptable. We negotiated a slight discount on the repair as a concession for the headache, and I thought the nightmare was over. I get home to discover that the folding mechanism is now broken (requiring a mallet to release), and the wheel is the wrong size: now making an atrocious squeaking sound from the wheel they “fixed.” If I could go back to May 8th, I’d tell my past self to get the scooter and run far far away. The wheel is fine, and it won’t be worth a scooter left unsafe to ride a few short weeks from now.

These guys are great. We had a couple of Honda scooters that had been sitting unused in a garage for years. It would have been impossible for me to get them up and running. Salt Lake Scooter Company picked them up from my house, kept me informed on what they needed and were timely and honest in their service. Fair pricing and overall good people. Both scooters are up and running great.

I recently purchased an awesome and great-looking Genuine Buddy Kick scooter here. Jordan was very helpful and made the experience very positive. If youre in the market for a great, reasonably priced scooter, this is the place to go. The service is great and its great to see a small business that cares so much about awesome customer service. Bought my Lance 150 scooter here and the process was slick. Reasonable prices on everything and Jordan is super attentive. The scooter started leaking oil out of the motor-case so I called them right away and they told me to bring it in. In less than two weeks they ordered a new motor, replaced it and had me back on the road at no cost! Great place, great selection of scooters and will even sell your scooter consignment if you are wanting to get rid of it.

These guys are the salt of the earth. I bought a used Aprilia Scarabeo from these guys, they knocked some cash from the asking price- and about a week later I had some issues with the scooter, so I took it back (probably a little too hot headed) and they offered to help me out and fix the scooters issues for only the cost of parts. These guys are the real deal, extremely courteous, and very friendly. My Scarabeo will definitely be back for its tune ups.

Jordan was a great help and very friendly. As the owner he gave great attention to detail and helped me through the buying process, which took me almost 3 hours to decide. He let me test drive 3 different scooters and let me cruise around the block as much as I needed. In the end I bought something on consignment and he was super cool about it. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend their services. Very knowledgable and easy going!

I had a great experience shopping for a scooter here. They seemed to genuinely care about what I wanted instead of telling me to buy something I didnt. Quite educated in the history of scooters and I think they all actually ride them as well. Seeing that I was able to test drive one of the employees scooters. I didnt crash it thank goodness. Went back the next day and picked one up!

The only thing these guys are good at is selling. They NEVER answer the phone & NEVER return your call. After buying 2 Genuine scooters (2016/2017) I ordered the trunk to go on the back of both scooters. Jordan said they wold be in about 2 weeks. A month goes by no communication about the trunks. Come to find out they SOLD what I had already paid for to someone else! What the???!!!!!!! When my husband picked up the new plates the guy acted like it wasnt a big deal. Now its been 6 weeks and still no return phone call, no getting my trunk that is paid for either. This is beyond disappointing. I wouldnt deal with these guys except I have to in order to get what Ive already paid for. Im also dreading my 300 mile tune up. Im sure I wont see my scooter for 6 months at this rate. VERY DISAPOINTED! Dont buy here, make the trip to anther dealer. I know I will.

Brought my scooter in because I wouldn’t start. Jordan told me it would cost 45$ for the first 45 minuets, they would then make contact and tell me how much additional it would be to fix the scooter. Jordan’s mechanic could not figure out what was wrong with the scooter, made contact to ask me what I had done to the scooter in my own attempt to fix it. Used that “first contact” with response to continue working on the scooter for an additional 200$ just to figure out what’s wrong with it and how to fix it. Jordan now wants 250$ to get my broken scooter out or 650$ to fix it. This place is a scam. DONT TAKE YOUR SCOOTERS HERE!!!

They have a whole bunch of scooters in there. The people that work there seem well educated. Very sincere and will go the extra mile to help the people who come in the shop. They are able to explain problems or figure out solutions.I would highly recommend giving them a call.

While i was there, the guy at the counter was having a conversation on paper with a deaf person. He was helping him find a part online for his scooter. They eventually found it. So Cute! And also found my part as well.

Never before have I taken a vehicle somewhere for service, pay $450, then get charged labor again on addressingaddr same issue when the issue persisted. Billed for hourly service on the time the took troubleshooting and somehow missed the fact that the battery was bad? Come on guys. be better...

I really want to like this place, but they just are terrible in every way possible. The prices seem decent but it isn’t worth the money you will have to pay to fix their mistakes. I brought my Scooter in and I needed a simple tire replacement... this ended up costing me over $300 because they really have no clue what they are doing. Not but the prices are bad the customer service is terrible, and just not with dealing with. I strongly suggest spending your money at a different scooter store... it will cost less in the long run.

The manager sold my disabled adult daughter a scooter. He led her to believe she didnt need a license. He lied. She cant drive it. He wont take it back. He will consign it...that means he gets double the sales commission on it. I am a mad mom.

We went scooter shopping to replace my wifes Honda Metro and Jordan at Salt Lake Scooter was great to work with. He was very patient and knowledgeable and we bought a Buddy 125 from him for my wife. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a scooter.

I bought my first used motor scooter at Salt Lake Scooter Co. The guy who helped me was honest about what I was getting. He told me that he had to fix some parts to get it started again, and wouldnt be able to guarantee how long it would run for. Well, its been about 9 months, and Ive ridden it almost every day. Whatever work that the guy did on it was great! When I bought it, he even delivered it from Salt Lake to Provo for a minimal fee. Id shop here again for a scooter.

My family always brings our scooters here for maintenance and repair. They are always honest and do a great job with fair pricing. I would give them 5 stars if they were full service (cannot get inspection there currently but told they will soon) and if they had more staff (slow compared to other places Ive used in the past because they are always slammed with work, though probably because they do great work).

Jordan was the man and helped me out with my experience and make it far more good. I definitely recommend going to their store.

The guys are very nice and the shop is fun to walk into. Now I was very disappointed by the service (I give it a 2 stars). I bought a buddy and when I had some issues they took forever(it took a month a half once) to repair anything. Also they tend to change a lot of parts every time there is a problem. I had my scooter repaired for the same problem twice and I had to fight very hard to get any discount on the second repair even though they were responsible for not finding the issue the first time. Overall I was not impressed with the quality of the service.I am updating my review as I am still dealing with those guys (1 star now). I would actually give it zero stars if I could. THose guys are really not responsive. Once they get your money you did hear about them anymore. Dont deal with those guys, they are not professional at all.

This shop is full of nothing but the very best. They have swift friendly service, they will work on any scooter without judgement on what brand or condition it is. I have come to Jordan for many parts for my bikes and would definitely recommend them to anyone with a scooter. I have met people from other states who drove down just to shop from these guys. They always greet me with a smile and a joke and are eager to serve. the real deal, I feel safe trusting my ride to them every time.

Spent the day going to every scooter shop between Salt lake and Provo. Had the best experience at SL Scooter Company. Ended up buying a Lance Cali Classic for my wife. Jordan was extremely helpful, Ill definitely go back.

I would give this place ZERO Stars. It has been the absolute worst experience. We dropped off our scooter to have a cable replaced. There is a HUGE lack of communication. After 2 and half weeks of it being there we were told it was done, we went to pick it up the next day and they said it was not done but they could do it a couple of hours. They promised to work on it so we could pick up the next day they were opened. Low and behold 2 days later it still was not put back together. They claimed it was because someone was out of town. However we spoke to someone in the shop Saturday who said they personally would take of it.When we called the day we were supposed to pick it up they claimed it was on the rack it would be ready the next day. When we went to pick it up the next day IT STILL WAS NOT DONE! Why was it not done, well after a long story full of holes and half excuses that were so bad they guy couldnt even look us in the eye we find out they misplaced a part to our scooter. It would be a few hours before it was ready. At this point they have had the scooter for 3 weeks. They have never been honest about what was going on, they never informed us that they lost our parts. They blamed it on things like people being out of town. I do not know who was out but I do know we spoke to a guy the weekend the other person claimed to be out who said they would take care of it. It shouldnt matter who was out of town since he told us he would have it done. Not that he would tell someone, not that he would pass the information along, that he personally would take care of it and stay later if needed since he knew it had been there awhile.If you want to experience some of the worst customer service I highly recommend taking your scooter there. Otherwise pay a little extra and go to the Vespa place in Sandy.

Had these guys do some work on my wifes Buddy and my Stella. Pricing was fair and turn around time was great for being the middle of June. Only draw back is that its sometimes hard to get ahold of them on the phone; but when I came in I could see why, they are constantly helping walk in customers even the mechanics in the back. Both our scoots are running fantastic. Thanks guys!

Not impressed! There was an electrical issue with the new scooter within a few days/out of the box. SL Scooter did a TERRIBLE job with the repairs - wrong size screws, mismatched headlights (1 original, 1 completely different light), broken pieces.

This place is awesome! It is not in the nicest of locations but its right off State street close to downtown. I took my crappy little Chinese scooter in there because it was having a ton of problems. I was nervous because of some of the reviews on here but it was the only really convenient place to take it and Im so glad I did! The guys were friendly and got the work done in just a few days. The price they charged was lower than expected. Its been about a month since I took my scooter in and its still running great. I would definitely go there again and would recommend this place to anyone.

Horrible experience. It took over two months and the scooter was never repaired properly.It took MONTHS to troubleshoot a blinker problem.I gave a not to exceed number of $200 and the bill was $350. Horrendous customer service, no communication and incompetent repair staff.Please avoid at all costs. I wanted to like this place but they made is simply impossible.You just dont do business like this. I suppose they will not be doing business much longer.

Salt Lake Scooters tuned up my 2 Yamaha Vino scooters last week. They replaced the seats and a flat tire. They picked up my scooters in Sandy and delivered them back to me when they were repaired. I highly recommend this business.

I have never purchased a scooter from them but have had them service mine. Since they now are the Vespa dealer in SLC I was directed to them from the prior dealer for routine service. Before having them work on my scooter I stopped by to check it out. Nice guys. When I left I let them know I would be dropping off my scooter Wednesday evening for routine service. (Oil change, etc). I presumed I was making an appointment for service. Oops. I guess not. 8 days after dropping it off my routine service was done. I dont know if they make service appointments or not. I just didnt expect it to take that long. It may be time to add personnel to the service department!

Worst scooter shop ever! I took my scooter in there to get serviced with the parts being supplied by the dealer because it was still under warranty. I called three weeks later and they hadnt touched the scooter because they hadnt even called the dealer to get the parts. So I gave them the go ahead to just fix it and Ill pay for the parts. Another 3 weeks later and they still hadnt go to it with no explanation as to why. Worst service Ive ever received anywhere. They stole 2 months of scooter riding summer fun from me.

This scooter place is awful. Terrible customer service, took my running scooter into their shop to replace the spark plug, they broke the scooter past repair and wanted me to pay for their labor. This place is a scam.

They will work on all the random off brands for the sheer fact of just helping us out. AND actually have some parts in stock. Ive come here for 3 years and every year gets a little better (Sadly my scooter has some issue each year). Honestly i wished i would have forked out a bit more mula for a Genuine Buddy scooter. I bought a Chinese brand scooter from a private seller. I (we) found out very quickly why the scooter was for sale and why it was so cheap. Anyhow, I looked up local repair/parts shops and came across the Salt Lake Scooter Company. I immediately brought my bike down to their shop(no appt. needed) and was personally greeted by the shop owner Jordan. He was very helpful, really polite and happy to answer any questions with my scooter situation.One thing my husband and I liked right off the bat, that Jordan was upfront and honest. He made no unrealistic promises about repair time or finding/shipping item time. Hunter the mechanic came out and talked with my husband and I as well. He explained his professional view on the problem my bike was experiencing and talked to us in laymans terms. Neither one of us felt like we werent getting the full explanation. We understood, totally agreed on what the outcome would be and felt good about our decision to take the scooter to this shop. Our bike was done faster than expected and cost was right in our budget price point. Jordan and Hunter are both very stand up men with great communication skills. I think this company is going to go far and be a great success!Thank you guys so very much! We have appreciated all of the help and are happy to report that our scooter is finally a fun investment. I was not pleased with the service. I had my 2011 Honda Ruckus re-jetted at the shop. What was originally supposed to cost no more than $100 and take 7-10 days, ended up costing me $165 and my Ruckus was in their shop for 7wks. I was never called by the shop, which meant I had to initiate contact when I wanted to know what the status was.The Ruckus is still not jetted properly and I will have to now do the work myself. My experience with the shop was not good at all.
