Joey came out to start regular treatments for my lawn. I have lived at my home for 4 years and have taken really good care of my lawn. This year I noticed increasingly spreading dead spots that I just could not figure out. I thought it was drought related because I had cut back on my watering. So I started spot watering but the problem persisted and grew. Joey came out and showed me the pest that have infested my lawn ( some sort of silk worm). I also have some necrotic ring issues. He helped me with some fert options, pesticides and fungicide and within a few weeks my grass has started looking very green and some of thr dead spots have started to fill in. He was also upfront about the difficulty of necrotic ring and that it will be an ongoing problem requiring several years of treatments. I appreciate the time Joey spent with me going over these issues and highly recommend this company for your lawn care needs.

We needed a new sprinkler brain installed, and Mitchell was AWESOME. He was super professional and helped us pick the correct hardware for our needs. I have been so impressed with this company. We’ve had them the last several years and this year seems to be the best. They are very professional and responsive to our lawn needs. Jacob really impressed me introducing himself the beginning of the season and has been great with communication! He even created a personalized video for our lawn and the noted issues when he was out to fertilize and we were not home. Jacob & Travis we’re out today and offered help on fixing our sprinkler where there appears to be a dead patch in the grass from being too dry. We absolutely love Holmes!! We spent several years wrestling out of control weeds in our lawn, with little to no success. We happened to drive by Holmes storefront, and decided to give them a call, and boy was it the best decision we’ve made as homeowners. Our lawn looks incredible now! I just recently left a review for the great service for a sprinkler adjustment.Today Landon serviced our lawn and did a fantastic job, he suggested new sprinkler run times and really took his time applying to lawn treatment, even went under the trampoline to get full coverage under it.We have been using Holmes for 3 years and have been extremely happy with the wonderful customer service, along with the knowledgeable and kind technicians.

Holmes Homes is a life/lawn saver! I laid fresh sod last year with the wrong person, and they have stepped in to save it. They have given me hope for the lawn and have taught me so much as well. All the while they are professional, great communicators and good at what they do. Its all too complicated for me to understand the finest details about a lawn, and they handle it for me, so I can do what I do best. The education videos they provide online and the videos they send you directly after they visit the property are so helpful. I look forward to the future of my lawn and working with them.

We purchased our home last year and yard was in dire shape . We signed up with one of the big lawn companies but could not get them to come out. I found Holmes on the web and called, they were out within a few days. Our lawn is on the road to recovery thanks to Holmes and Nate our specialist. I cant say enough good things about Nate and his professionalism and friendly attitude. I appreciate Nates attention to detail and helping get our lawn to its best shape. We’ve been a client for a couple of seasons now and each winter I forget how great and easy Holmes is to work with until spring/summer comes along and I have a question or concern. Holmes has been great at the job they do since we started with them, but what really sets them apart is their customer service, responsiveness and attention to detail. The season has just begun, my yard is looking great but one trouble spot and when I brought it to their attention they set up time to come out immediately. The technician was very knowledgeable and was able to figure out what was wrong right away, treat the problem quickly before it got worse, and provide tips on how to prevent the problems our lawn was having. The technicians did a good job when they first came to adjust/fix my sprinklers. But then as they left, they told me they set up my sprinkler timer to go off 5 days a week. Knowing that was way too much, especially in our current state of drought, I changed it to 3 days a week (later, I changed it to 2 days a week). Then later after running the sprinklers, I noticed that half of my driveway was getting watered and the back of my house was getting hit as well. I called them back to have them readjust things. They did so, free of charge.Context: most of Utah is in extreme or exceptional droughtWhen the technician returned for that second visit, he asked how often they had set our sprinklers to run. When we said 5, he seemed satisfied, but then we told him we thought that was too often because of the drought. Then he said, and I quote: There is no drought. He then insinuated that the drought was a political move by Utah state officials. He said that all of Utahs lakes and reservoirs are full. This is not the case. He mentioned Strawberry reservoir as being 100% full, but its only 81%. Not only that, he said that he waters his lawn every day. However, we are only supposed to be watering 2 times per week, and even without a severe drought, the recommendation is only 3 times per week maximum.Im mostly writing this review in hopes that this company will change how they are educating people. If that doesnt happen, I would advise others to not heed their watering advice or to avoid this company altogether.I didnt give 1 star because the price was fair and because of the free follow up modification.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mitch from Holmes today. He came out to repair and adjust our sprinkler system. He showed up on time, was very knowledgable, fast and efficient. Great experiences like this are hard to come by these days. High Five!!

Made an appointment. Technician did not show up. Then when we contacted the company the technician apparently said they already went to the house, talked to someone and completed the work. They certainly did not come to our house. Luckily we have not been charged for this fictitious job done. They are blaming input of an incorrect address. Amazing that this incorrect address also had a person miraculously needing sprinkler repair. EDIT MONDAY: And now I have indeed been charged for the repair on the other property!

My lawn was really struggling earlier this year, but Holmes Lawn & Pest has turned it around. During the latest service call, Jacob and Travis were super friendly and and more than helpful, offering watering tips and ideas to both conserve water and keep the lawn looking good. Id recommend them to anyone.

New for us lawn fertilizer and pest control. They take the time to assess your yard and determine what’s needed. They let you know a few days in advance that they’re coming and report to you in person what was done. Since this is new, too soon to report on results but expect they’ll be good.

Ive had Holmes do my lawn fertilization for a few years now after having a poor experience with TruGreen. I have been very happy with their service and recommend them to anyone. This months treatment, the application technician, Landon, was very helpful and informative as to how to make my lawn look better. I look forward to having him do my applications for the rest of the season.

Landon came over and sprayed our home. He was very nice and answered all my questions. I am happy there is an organic product on the market to keep all the little nasty away! The spray he used smelled like sweet black licorice. He was very thorough! This is a great company to go with!!

I just had my sprinklers activated and taken care of. The guy they sent out was wonderful and extremely helpful. He replaced and fixed a few heads for me that were broken by a different mowing company. I do miss Holmes mowing service, though! They were fantastic and never ever broke even one of my sprinklers. Hopefully this review can help them reconsider this, haha 😄

We’ve been using these guys for about 4 years now and they always show up when they are supposed to, great at fixing any problems, friendly, and great at offering advice. Also we have no weeds anymore. If a rogue one does pop up, they are happy to come spot spray for free.

I hired Holmes lawn and pest to turn on our sprinklers in our new home and tune up the system. I could not find the main irrigation valve to do it myself, so I hired a professional to perform the task. They came out and only spent a half an hour trying to find the valve and came up with nothing. I received a 100.00 dollar charge for nothing. They referred me to another company and told me that they do not do that type of work. It blows my mind to know if I hire someone and they fully know my issue, they take on the job then tell me they cant do it and bill me. I cannot understand how a landscape and sprinkler company cannot turn on my sprinklers. They have my money. Your Welcome!

All of their techs (Jacob, Derek, Landon, Travis, Joey, & Nate) are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They’ve always been on top of letting me know what’s wrong with my lawn, and advising treatment promptly. They’re by far the most personable lawn care company, as they knock on your door every time they come and if you’re not home, they send you a quick video to recap you on the products they used, and if they see any issues. I can’t recommend Holmes high enough. If you need lawn care, or pest control, look no further. This company will make your lawn healthier than any other company can.

I reached out to Holmes two years ago when I had problems with grubs in by lawn. They were very responsive and told me about the treatments that they made which would prevent grubs.After the first year, I could see that their treatments worked.But over this last year, I never felt like I had a healthy lawn. I called to cancel one of their monthly treatments and they ended up coming just two days later and charging me for it still. I complained and they took care of the charge.But this past week, I noticed that by lawn was looking very unhealthy and I noticed that it had signs of grubs!I reached out and they said they would send a technician. But now they are telling me that a technician cant come for a week.I May not have a lawn by then!I find it discouraging (1) that my lawn could still get grubs even when Im doing all of their subscription services. And (2) that there is no urgency to come and inspect and arrange to have it treated and remedied.Now I have doubts that they were ever applying any treatments each time they came out and charged me?

Technician (Mitchell) was prompt, professional, knowledgeable . It took a while to get an appointment, but the appointment itself was great. I would use this company again.

I procrastinated getting someone out to do sprinkler winterization and suddenly freezing temps were coming and my sprinklers weren’t done. I called a few other companies and received really high quotes for winterizing 12 sprinkler stations. When I called Holmes Lawn and Pest, they had the best prices and despite a very busy schedule they were able to work me in within days. Really happy with our service and I’m so glad I called them!

I can’t say enough about this company I went through six companies before them. They communicate what they are going to do before they come so you can be ready. They send videos explaining what they are putting down on your lawn. They arrive on time and do a great job. They respectful to your property and make sure to leave it the way they found it. If they see anything concerning they send you an email. They answer any dumb question that you may have. I can’t recommend them enough!

I had high hopes for this company. Environmentally friendly products are important to us. Weeks after the first application we could see that the weeds were doing just fine. My wife asked the technician at the second application if it would kill the weeds and he said it would. Two applications in and the weeds are healthier than the lawn. I called to have a tech come back out to spot spray and was told 1-2 weeks. I said one week and they said they would try. One week came and went with no treatment or call back and when I called to find out what the story was I was told they wouldnt be able to come back out until the end of the week. Even when I said I was ready to drop their service there was still no urgency to address the issue. The competition had a tech out in 1-2 days when we would call. Time to give them a call.

I started using Holmes about 3 years ago for my yard. They were the only ones that were responsive and got back to me with a quote and were able to start right away. I had them fertilize my yard, do weekly mowing, and also sprinkler turn on and repair. They have always been excellent and I’ve continued to use them and my yard has never looked better! Great company and always great customer service and they answer the phone and treat you well! Very professional and care about their customers. :)

I had Holmes come out for a yard cleanup. When they arrived, we found out they didnt have the equipment they needed, so they had to come back a few hours later.Prior to them starting work, we had arranged for them to spend 3 man hours working and then check if Id like to have them do another 3 hours based on what they had gotten done. After they started, I went inside and later came out to find them gone - they hadnt bothered to check and see if everything had been finished.The quality of the work was fine - mostly looked good, but they had missed a couple things. However, the price was was very high for what I received: $200 for 3 man-hours. For a premium price, I would hope for premium service.

Always the best clean up service when I let things get overgrown in my yard. They are meticulous. Highly recommend.
