Bought a new $3200 bike from Bingham, which was nice because it is a hard to find bike and was in stock. But very disappointed that after dropping that amount of cash, I was then offered a 1 year service plan to the tune of $270, which wasn’t even real repair service it was just “flats” and “tune up” which I imagine is just throwing lube on the chain and cables. Yea, no thanks. When I tried to solicit advice on maintenance I was just recommended to “keep tires pumped” and if it starts to make noise put lube on the chain. I’ve never bought a bike from a store where they didn’t offer free service for some period, and in addition there was absolutely nothing included with my purchase - cages, water bottles, lights etc. I mean those are a drop in the bucket, but still standard at a lot of other stores.

The southern gentleman working at this spot was a delight. Bingham Cyclery will always have my business. I purchased two stump jumper EVOs. One from a Bountiful shop and one from the SLC Bingham. I assistance at the Binghams is classy and not rushed. Maybe it was the time of day but I really appreciated the time spent to help me understand my first full suspension. 3k isnt very for a MTB but they treated me like I was purchasing the best. Love this place. It was my third MTB purchased from Bingham. I dont know why I keep going other places.

Everyone at Bingham is great! The work is high quality and fast, and the staff is friendly and helpful. While some bike shop employees are abrasive and feel the need to mansplain, everyone at Bingham is great.

I have been a customer since Summer of 2020, and it has not disappointed. I bought the Vado and to get to the point of purchase, they consulted me and advised me on different brands as well as other local establishments. The service i received since day one has been exceptional; the experience and know how is reassuring. As a queer, brown man, I have felt welcome to their store and have not felt any stalking or negative atmosphere, but rather have encountered professionalism and also an inclusive culture. I would say the only drawback is that waiting time, plan ahead! From service to to pick up, depending on the demand, it can take several days to have an order completed. So plan ahead and have confidence in them delivering excellent service with several days of wait time. 10 out of 10 I’d do it again.

Technical services are great and communication is reliable. I never have to wonder what is going on with my bikes in the shop. Bikes are ready when promised and they always let me know if something comes up. If the front desk cant answer a question they get a mechanic on the phone -- really appreciate it!

I have been going to this location for a few years now, and this is by far my favorite shop in Salt Lake City. The staff is very knowledgeable about the products they carry and are more than happy to help me with any questions I have. They were able to adjust my cycle brakes and inspect a possible rear brake issue within an hour and charge very affordable service rates.

I called every Bingham cyclery shop on the Salt Lake Valley today and got the same attitude from all of them. Wanting to help in any way possible. Supplies are limited and as a customer right now we are a dime a dozen, yet every employee I talked to today truly wanted to find me the right bike. Not just any bike. They succeeded my son loves it!!

This is a really nice shop with high end bikes and gear, but they were still able to help me with 12” tubes for my grandson’s strider bike. I’m glad they could help me with my less than high end needs.

Don’t go here if you are new.K so I got a stump jumper from here and went in a while ago to see if I should get a different model and to be honest just ask as many questions about mt biking in general because I am new to it all.One guy was way helpful but he had to go to the back and so i was stuck in the store for a little bit because I was wanting to buy a bunch of stuff. Then the only “help” i could get was from some lady that made me feel like I was pulling teeth for her to engage and help me. She was def awkward and not helpful at all. Bad hire in my opinion. I came in ready to spend $$$$$ and she blew it.Probably not coming back!

My wife’s bike started making the dreaded BB noises just before our cycling trip to France. I thought I was in for an R & R, but the mechanic cleaned and lubed it and we’re good to go! Honest and reliable work! My go to LBS!

My experience here has been great! From purchasing my first mountain bike to repairs, they’ve always taken care of me. Michelle in particular has been amazing!!!! Many bike shop workers could take a kindness and respect lesson from her. She’s extremely humble, kind and puts a lot of effort towards her job. (Unlike many bike shop workers I’ve come across).And when she’s unsure of something (because we all are at times) she asks her co-workers to confirm. Keep up the amazing work Michelle!I hope this shop continues to treat every customer with respect, no matter how much money they plan on spending or their experience level. There are so many rude and arrogant bike shop emps these days, but this shop is an exception! Keep it up!My only suggestion is it would be great for the communication aspect of bike service to be improved. My service took a bit longer than expected and a text or call would have been nice to let me know what was going on. In the end it was not a problem because I was out of town. :)Other than that, keep doing what your doing! I love this shop!

Michelle and the rest of the staff at Bingham were great. Id wanted a $60 annual service on my husbands and my bike. The technician didnt charge us the full fee because our bikes were in great condition. Michelle helped us find some useful accessories and did one special order. All their services were completed in the time frame they estimated. The store and staff also follow clear guidelines regarding COVID-19. Its evident they take this seriously, and our shopping experience felt safe.

I just ordered and received a Levo Carbon SL mountain bike. MJ at the Salt Lake store was a delight to deal with. I really appreciated that she frequently texted me regarding the status of my order.

The lady who greeted me had absolutely no idea about anything. I asked if I could get my wheels set up tubeless (the wheels and tires had already been set up tubeless) after about 5 seconds of trying she quit and said it wouldn’t work. Do not let anyone from here work on your bike it is very clear they do not teach their employees basic maintenance

SLC shop replaced my Enduro’s shifter cable and adjusted a bent derailleur same day for a very reasonable price back in 2020. This morning they were able to swap an XX1 derailleur, shifter and chain from an upgraded 2021 Stumpjumper alloy base we’re selling with my 2020 Enduro Elite GX components, add/ swap three saddles, with time for an afternoon ride, all while we were buying a 2022 Stumpjumper Evo. Friendly, engaging, proactive and thoughtful staff in a clean laid back atmosphere, I’d recommend this shop for your bike repairs and new purchases any day of the week! We’ve felt valued and enjoyed our experience buying an Enduro Elite and Stumpjumper Evo at Bingham.

I normally stay away from Downtown because of the clientele, and this Bingham is no exception. After purchasing a Stumpjumper from Ty at Ogden, (Which was a great experience), I wanted a gravel bike. Looking around and touching a bike, I got rudely told not to touch anything. The second time I got told not to touch anything, is when I flipped a price tag over to check price and size. These two employees, male and a female-define the downtown snotty attitude Ive come to loath in SLC. The female decided to remain seated behind the register the entire time. After encountering these two, there was no way in hell I was going to spend a dime here. I went straight to Bountiful Bicycle and bought a Diverge. I was welcomed with open arms, to touch, manhandle, ride anything you want. I have nothing more to comment, other than the first impression is a lasting one.

These guys provided prompt customer service. They were down to earth, understood my point of view, and very helpful. I had a ring that I lost when taking my rear suspension off and one of the mechanics even walked out to my car to look and my bike and helped me find a replacement in a small box of spare parts. That was extremely lucky on my part and I cant guarantee everyone that same luck, but it just goes to show how these guys went the extra mile to provide good customer service.

Ive come here for all my bike needs for the past 4 years and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Any time something extra is wrong they let me know and what options are available to fix the issue. Prices are fair, staff is super friendly, and the service is excellent.

Just came down from Glacier NP. My left shifter wasn’t working, I was stuck in low. Jarred is a master bike mechanic! He found the problem and replaced the cable but checked the right shifter and cable and noticed a problem with that cable. I had been having problems with that shifter too but seemed to self correct. I judge a bike mechanic when I leave the shop and see how smooth my gears shift. With Jarred they shift smooth as a baby’s behind. Not even after I bought the bike have the gears glided into position so quietly and smoothly!

I brought my bike in during my lunch hour, without an appointment, and the mechanic was able to quickly diagnose the issue, resolve it, and send me on my way within 10 minutes. He charged me a reasonable fee for his work and expertise, and I was able to ride my bike again! Highly recommended.

Went in with a bike that needed new tires, tubes, and brake pads. Was told it would be $42.00 and take around two weeks. They ordered the wrong tires twice pushing out my bike for 6 weeks and ended up charging me $133.61!!!! Do NOT trust what they say. How does a bike shop that literally works on bikes all day, order the wrong parts twice, take three times as long and charge $91.00 over the amount they told the customer it would cost. Shady. I want to give zero stars.

Dropped off an old mountain bike that needed 1 new cable housing. I also asked them to tighten any lose nuts or bolts as the bike had visibly lose hardware. After they had the bike for 3 days I picked it up and was charged $60 plus tax for the work. As soon as I got home I noticed that other than the cable nothing else was really done with the bike. The seat rattled. The shifters were so lose on the handle bars that they moved when shifting gears. Just not impressed at all with their care or attention to detail. I feel like I paid for their minimum hour of work but only got about 8-10 minutes out of them. Shame on you Bingham. :(

I was told if my wheel and tire had been purchased from them they would pump it up for me. I purchased the white sealant but they would not put air in my tire. Thats not much of a bicycle shop. Sorry.

I’ve gone to them 3 times now, they’ve always provided quick premium service. They fix additional things they notice that are wrong with the bike. They are friendly and funny. They are very knowledgeable and always have a solution to my problem-unless there is no solution (specialized diverge aren’t made for a front rack :/ )

There are so many bicycle shops in Utah- so when we first moved here we kind of shopped around trying to find the store we liked, felt most comfortable etc.... Bingham has become THAT store.... the minute you walk in you feel the difference ... the staff is amazing... they all seem genuinely happy to be there and that shows in the level of knowledge and expertise that they share with all their costumers! There is also something very unique about Bingham that in my opinion majorly stands out among all the rest of the bike stores in the state.... they take such pride in their community and doing service such as the bikes for tykes charity, and their promotion of the womens cycling community has been nothing but remarkable. This is one bike store I will continue to support, learn from, and enjoy using here in Utah!

The downtown Binghams is the coolest shop in the area. The showroom is incredible and filled with any type of bike you could want. They are always friendly when I stop by and the manager Chris is incredibly experienced with all things cycling. Jared in the service department is an absolute wizard and can fix anything wrong with your bike. Hit up Brent or Chris on the sales floor for the best bike recommendations in the valley. Highly recommend!

It can be intimidating walking into a bike shop when you dont know much about the sport. The staff here really cares about their customers, not just trying to sale you a bunch of accessories you dont need. They respected my budget and helped me find the best bike to fit my needs. Ive had it serviced twice now, and both times they spent time with me giving advice and showing me proper maintenance. Ill be buying all my future bikes here.

Great shop! I love going into the shop! They carry all of the biking supplies I need, are constantly getting new biking clothing, and have many models of bikes to choose from so I can actually look at the bike in person before I buy it (mountain, road, cyclocross, snow bikes, cruisers, hybrids, etc.). Mechanics are top notch as well. Great location downtown and even for downtown the free parking is always very easy.

I ordered a hard to get Yakima replacement part online. It was shipped and arrived on time. Exactly as needed. I did have to ask for tracking info, but thatbwas quickly provided by email. All good.

I had an absolutely great experience with Bingham Cyclery. I flew into town on business, but was hoping to get some mountain bike riding in while I was here. I called Bingham, made a reservation and got a 2016 Stumpjumper FSR Carbon Expert to demo for the weekend. The bike set up was top notch, and it was in great condition. The reservation process was a breeze, and the staff was helpful and competent with personalized suspension setup and recommendations on where to ride. I spent two days and 50 miles of trail riding on the bike with zero mechanical issues. When I come back, I will rent from them again, and recommend anyone who is thinking about renting a bike to stop by Bingham. They will set you up!
