Best price available and got a nicer car than I would have for an “intermediate” at one of the larger agencies. Having a hybrid saved me some more money on gas as well. Great service at pickup and return and all around a good experience. I’ll rent from here again next time I’m in SLC

Without a doubt, the best rental car experience I’ve ever had. I have rented from every company, from budget to name brand but none compare to the positive experience we had with Affordable. Competitive prices, solid customer service, and a clean and comfortable car. Every employee was helpful and friendly. Seemed like everyone enjoyed working there, which makes for a positive customer experience. If I’m ever in the SLC area, I will surely rent from them again. Thanks Affordable!!!

I had a very nice Ford fusion for my rental car which had fold down seats to fit my snowboard. The car was very clean and in great working condition. It had Apple CarPlay which was very helpful for navigation and for music. The communication with Affordable Rent-A-Car was excellent as it pertained to picking up and dropping off the car after hours. I would rent from them in the future for sure!

Cost wayyyy too much to be called affordable rent a car. Paid $2000 just for a week and almost $300 in taxes 🤯 blew my mind lol Ill be going with discount rent a car next time.

I rented from Affordable twice from the SLC airport. It was so easy! They left the keys in the car and everything worked out great! Second time, was even better than the first. I would highly recommend!

Can’t beat the price. Cars are nice and good service. Definitely best option if you are going to Salt Lake City since the lot is off site, however, they do provide free shuttle. Definitely recommend.

We just rented a Hyundai Accent from Affordable and drove to Yellowstone. We were flying in from Atlanta. Affordable was quick to pick us up at the airport, and likewise quick to return us to the airport at the end. They picked us up in the very car we were renting, so we only had to load our luggage once . . .and we had a lot since we were tent camping. They allowed 200 miles per day which was plenty of miles, even though we did a lot of driving. The car was like new and got 35-40 mpg. The folks here were friendly and quick, and we rented here because the price was much better than the places at the airport. We would easily rent from these folks again and would recommend them to others.

So far so good! Just picked up the vehicle and they impressed me with their efficiency and speed. They were waiting for me when I picked up my bags and had all the paperwork ready to go, with the car Im taking pulled out in front. They all seem cool and down to earth, very happy with the experience so far!!

I was given a rental from this company through Bear River Mutual after a car accident. I got a flat on the last day. I understand I will have to pay for a new tire if it cant be plugged. My father passed away suddenly on June 5th when I explained this and that money is so tight, Chast said they would work with me and the fuel I wasnt able to fill up last light. Hope it all works out.Other than that, nice car, fair condition, and I may one day want to buy a car here.

I had a great experience with the Affordable Rent-A-Car. I initially was a bit nervous about what to expect, but the shuttle to the parking spot (after hours pick-up) came within 15 minutes and I was dropped off directly at the car. I did have to pay an extra $8 for the parking, but it wasnt a big deal. The car worked very well and when I dropped it off, I was given a ride back to the airport and didnt have to wait for a shuttle. I would recommend as it saved me lots of money and was an easy experience.

Good price, good car. I was in and out quickly with no pushy overselling that lots of agencies do. The attendant was friendly and thorough in noting small scratches during the initial inspection so I wouldnt get charged for anything. After hours return was a piece of cake.

Overall I had a good experience with Affordable Rent-A-Car. The car was in good condition and we were able to pick it up during after hours which was nice. They personally gave us a ride back to the airport in the same vehicle which was nice that we didnt have to remove our bags until the airport.The one thing was that I wish the email wouldve been a little more clear with pick up. We were picking up after midnight so we had to call a number to let them know we were ready. The email did not clearly lay out where the shuttle would be picking us up and that took about 3 phone calls to finally find the correct location. If it had said the name of the shuttle so I knew what to look for and the location in the email that wouldve been avoided.Besides that everything worked well and it was good value for the money.

Avoid this company at all costs! I had a vacation planned that started in SLC, and 4 days before we were set to leave, these people called and said they had a glitch with their system that allowed me to reserve a car that they didnt have. They canceled on us with 4 days notice. When we started to look for alternatives with only a few days notice, obviously the costs had increased immensely. Our reservation was quoted at $327, and now our only option is to go with Avis for $1,120. Thanks to these unprofessional idiots, I am now forking over $800 more for a reservation when I had planned this trip MONTHS ago. My guess is they found out they could make more money because of the upcoming solar eclipse, and they just decided to screw over me and 22 other clients that experienced this glitch. I would consider any reservation you make to be completely up in the air, as theyll pull the rug from under you if they feel like it.Whats worse is that I have been waiting for several days for a call from the owner Dave so we can discuss this and talk about a solution, which I think should logically be a check covering the difference for my new rental. Dave has yet to call, and his own employees say he is ignoring their texts and calls. When I got his cell number myself, OF COURSE he didnt answer, and he had a full voicemail. Dave, youre a terrible businessman and you should be ashamed. To all potential customers, pay a bit more for one of the big names who wont screw over your vacation.

I initially chose them due to their low rate. I unexpectedly arrived at the SLC after their business hours, but they were kind and prompt in holding the car at a local parking facility for only $8 (and the car was a surprise upgrade - Nissan Rogue). A shuttle arrived quickly to take us directly to the car. I unfortunately was involved in an accident on Day 2. Ive never been in an accident, and my anxiety was sky-high when calling their office. Their main concern was that I was ok, and they even offered me a different car. They were efficient and kind upon the car return, and drove us quickly to the airport in the car that we rented. I cant recommend them enough!!!

I have used Affordable Rent-A-Car on several occasions and have always had a pleasant experience. Its cheaper than other companies and its easy pickup without them trying to push extras on you. I would recommend.

I reserved with Affordable more than a month before my trip, for high demand dates overlapping the solar eclipse. Just a few days before my travel, they called me and dumped my reservation. They claimed a computer glitch that somehow wasnt detected until now. Of course, now I have to pay hundreds of dollars more because of the higher demand. And conveniently, this company can probably get a lot more money over these dates than I reserved at. So my advice would be to consider any reservation with Affordable to be tentative.

I rented a compact (Kia Rio). The car meet our needs fine with one exception - no cruise control. The next time I will try to be sure they are renting me a car with cruise control.Harry Miller

Minivan was new,clean and ready to go. Service was fast and friendly. Airport transfer was good. No funny business when it came to the bill vs the advertised price. I have used these guys before and will again when I come to ski. I couldnt beat their price no matter where I looked.

I was a little worried that there would be a problem (see references to computer glitches in other reviews) but my rental experience was very pleasant. The staff were all friendly and professional, and worked to keep things moving during our holiday rental time. My biggest regret is that I didnt get a car with 4-wheel drive (which I was later told they didnt even carry).... A wintertime rental that is leaving the warmer SLC lower elevations for a few thousand feet higher, needs to have 4-wheel drive. I could not take my car out on snowy days, and had to change my last nights accommodations from the (lower) mountainside to the city to ensure that I would have safe driving if the nights snow was not cleared before I had to leave for the airport in the morning. No chains were offered... not sure if theyre even available.

Saves money with off-airport location, and reasonably efficient shuttles. Dropped car at the location during their off-hours, which was a bit odd as the name of the rental company was not on the tip of my tongue, and the gate agent was sending me to another lot, when the company name came to me. I was admitted and directed to a distant area to park the car and wait. 5-10 minutes later, a van pulled up. The driver asked me where the keys were, and I told him in the ignition. He drove me to the airport, but I was a bit uneasy without having the car inspected, mileage and gas-level taken, etc. With the exception of receiving a phone call at home asking me what I did with the key -- wouldnt you look in the car? -- everything went smoothly with no unexpected charges.

Small private company. Great prices. Great service. Felt a little neglected on the last day. But they totally made up for it when returning the vehicle. I will definitely be renting from here again.

The suburban was clean and ran well. The cost was significantly less than other vendors! The shuttle was efficient. I didnt have to wait long either way. The associate Becky was very friendly and did her job very well. Ill use them again

Rate for car was cheaper than other rental agencies but we were not pleased with the car nor the service. We were given a Ford Focus for the week. Since we flew in on a Sunday, we picked it up from a remote airport lot. Car was covered in dirt and the people working at the lot were unable to answer the questions I had. They also did not provide a key fob, which was inconvenient especially considering how awful this car is designed. I called three times throughout the week, left a voicemail, then finally got a hold of someone in customer service the 2nd to last day of the rental. We will not rent from this company if we return to the area.
