My company began a partnership with Spencer Services at the end of 2020 for our new facility in the Greater Sacramento Area and we could not be more thrilled to be in business with them. During the discussion of services and contract creation they were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, prompt and often anticipated our needs. We continue to be impressed with their services and communication. They have performed several additional services at our request (and with short notice) and are always willing to help.

I know a few people that have worked here. As a business in general I would say they lack professionalism. Usually when you walk into an office you are greeted pleasantly, maybe not having people race to get the door for you, but a genuine welcome. When you walk into this building you can feel tension.In my opinion there is a lack of transparency in the work supervisors and managers perform. It has always been he said she said which may be why there is so much turnover. Unpaid hours, late vacation pay, no workers comp. It is difficult to believe there are still businesses who hire this maintenance company. What amazes me even more on a personal level is the arrogance of the higher ups. My apologies but the truth is sometimes not easy to say and hiding it is not okay. I hope nothing more serious happens and goes unseen... or ignored.

As an Assistant Facilities Manager, I love Spencer Building Maintenance! Their office staff is always helpful, our account manager is always on top of things, and the janitorial staff at all of our buildings do a great job. My company is very particular about things being thoroughly cleaned down to the last detail and Spencer is up to the job. Any requests (small or large) that I make are taken care of immediately. We use Spencer for day porters, night time janitorial crews, lighting, building/window washing, and many other building maintenance needs. I highly recommend using Spencer Building Maintenance for your buildings!

Place is unprofessional. High turnover rate. Favoritism is plentiful. Owner is arrogant, chauvinistic, and likes to play games. Doesnt pay like he promises he will in concerns of to a raise. Also tries to belittle employees constantly. Chauvinistic would be a compliment. Lawsuits on top of lawsuits is what the owner faces. It makes you wonder who you are really working for. Has little to no respect for employees. Operates on driving fear into employees. Id say more about the owner but knowing him hed probably try to sue me or call the cops on me since hes already done that LOL. Honestly not worth doing business with and definitely not worth working for. So many stories behind the scenes that cannot even be mentioned on here. Do your homework and research and the information and word of mouth out there will tell you all you need to know. Surrounding companies laugh at this company. If I could give this place a more negative review I would.

This employer has undocumented janitors and day porters working for him. Aaron has not yet implemented the E verify system with his company. Ice was there already and fined him for violating state and federal laws.Spencer building Maintenance is by far one of the cheapest employers in California, since they refuse to offer direct deposit to their employees.Also upper management, along with the owners, love to trash customers behind close doors.

Spencer Building Maintenance is cut above the rest. They provide a wide variety of services and no job is to big or small that they cant handle. Their staff is always friendly and willing to assist with any request.

This review is probably very different than most.While their company handles many commercial accounts efficiently, my review is more about the integrity of the owners.I asked for some help from a group of people to do some type of some work similar to Yard crasher/Christmas in July.You see, I have a friend who’s husband had been recently given a month to live. I requested for folks to come and help do yardwork to help the wife out —who was as you can imagine completely overwhelmed with the situation. (Not to mention her husband). Besides the illness taking away strength to do chores, the stress had gotten to the wife and she was not able to do much other than care for her husband.I got four replies to the six requests I sent out for some folks to come and help do yardwork. The very first response I got was from the owner of Spencer Building who replied “ always, what do you need, tools, cash, track, etc.?“I see a lot of people talking a lot about what they do for other people or making a big deal of donations they have given, these folks came without any advertisement or talking about their company, they were just there to work and work they did!This speaks more about their company then someone who no longer works for them and complaining via Yelp or google to cast a bad light on the company.
