I have obtained this office for my fiancé child custody case we obtained them in April and it’s now September we have been switched attorneys a few times not to mention they took our retainer fee plus charge us additional monthly payments as well and literally nothing has been done i would be happy to give a better review once things start going or we make some sort of progress but as of right now I do not recommend this law firm.

Very very discusted by this law firm and how it is ran. They are quick to charge an arm and a leg plus more but are a very poor excuse of what is called a lawyer definitely the worst experience ever i will NEVER recommend this office to anyone we hired them for a very simple or what they called an easy case because there has never been any type of court cases for us in the past so they said it would be easy and quick they were hired by us back in December and still NOTHING has been done in this case NO FILLING or any sort but yet keep telling us oh we are waiting on a court date im not new myself to how filling court papers work they give you a court date same day as you file then turn around and say oh well its gonna be this much to file puzzled face cuz im like wait didnt you say you were waiting on a date 🤔 and just give the run around i will definitely be submitting a complaint to the state bar on this law office as i see that we are NOT the only ones with this discusting experience these people are scam artist for sure dont know how they are still in business THE WORST LAW FIRM EVER!!! Then want to go and charge us because one of there lawyers left the office and they had to give our case to some lady named Keri which is the worst ever all these people want is your money they are NOT here to help us in anything whatsoever definitely very UNPROFESSIONAL!!

My case involved domestic violence and child abuse. Even though I was terrified for my own safety, my biggest fear was for the safety of my child. I was completely lost in the system. I didnt know where to go and who else I could ask for help. I knew we were in a great danger but didnt see any way out. I had practically no chance to protect my baby...until I met David Martin. My case was horrific, but David was able to completely turn the case around. DAVID MARTIN ACCOMPLISHED WHAT SEEMED IMPOSSIBLE. I will be forever thankful for his hard work and dedication in my case. David Martin represented us very aggressively, but was very fair and ethical at every step. He always communicated everything upfront, and I was always kept updated. He never promised that we will win, but gave his honest opinion of what I could expect. To this day I continue referring people in need of great representation to David Martin.

Spoke with 1 attorney, Mr. Watts. He had no idea how I could send my complete documentation to the office efficiently, so I had to send it piece by piece, which meant only sending a small selection rather than the entire file.It took over a week for him to get back to me and then when he did finally get back to me, his assessment of the situation was completely incorrect, referring to obvious ABUSE as “communication issues.” I responded to his email letting him know it was more important to address other issues before addressing this particular issue. Mr. Watts never even bothered to respond.I do not recommend this firm. If the attorneys can’t recognize patterns of abuse, they have no business offering “help” to victims of domestic violence. 💯Took my business elsewhere to an attorney that gets it.

Super thankful for the legal representation and guidance I have been given through David A. Martin & Associates, especially through attorney David Watts (great insight, perspective, plan of action and approach to the legal process) and paralegal, Nicole Thompson (in plain words, she just really has her stuff together...very efficient and organized). I have to say that when I first contacted David Watts in January about my current situation and the case I would be bringing to the table I knew it was going to be hard, (this was a custody case with a move away from California to 1900 miles away). I finally was able to hire David in February after making another trip to California. Which was the best decision I could of made, he reassured me time and time again that everything was going to be fine, he didnt make any promises and explained everything to me answered each and every question I had, got back to me in a timely matter, fast forward to April per his recommendation came to California again for mediation went back home, then again 2 weeks later came back to California for a hearing. (Ended up getting temporary move away approved) then final hearing August 24 and got final decision for permanent move away and it was granted.. I knew that the case I gave him wasnt going to be easy and to be honest had some doubts about it bc a move away is hard, but with Davids knowledge and force to put up a strong fight he was able to help me win my case!! This attorney is by far the best I have ever worked with hands down!! If you need an amazing attorney David Wattss is your guy!! Oh and call him David not sir!!! Thank you again David!!

I should have fired David Martin before he took all my money and abandoned me right before an important trial hearing. He came highly recommended and claimed he would be my advocate and fight for my case. After charging my account over $50,000, I found out David had botched the subpoenas because they were too vague and pretended the O/Ps was stonewalling him.

I had to get a divorce which has been a nightmare, Called around and spoke to a bunch of lawyers and found this place. They were very knowledgeable. They made a nightmare situation much easier! I would recommend them to anyone in the Sacramento area looking for a great divorce lawyer.

I had a very short time with this law firm. But they ansewed all my quistion. I was vey pleased with their service.

My wife made a backdoor offer and threatened me with false accusations to David Martin. His testimony regarding the incident could have helped my case in another jurisdiction. When I asked him to compose a memo of the incident which he described to me in great detail that very day, he got a sudden case of amnesia.I would not use David Martin ever not would I recommend him to anyone.

Talked to several other divorce lawyers and decided to go with this one because of there fast response and they really were friendly and seemed to know there stuff. I was happy with the end result and hopefully never need to go through this again!

The staff and services I received were beyond my expectation! I felt they really cared about my situation and had my best interest.

I hired David a few months ago, seemed legit. Looking back it’s easy to spot the signs of my bad decision. During our first discussions I said we need to develop some strategies to defend against all the things my wife is demanding. David said on more than one occasion that “it’s not we” you are the client and I represent you. You tell me what to write and I’ll write it and ask in court for you.Even though my marriage lasted only two years, David let me know she will most likely get spousal support, her lawyer fees and a percentage of my retirement. He said the courts use the dissomaster program to determine how much money I would have to pay in spousal support. Whatever the dissomaster said is what I would have to pay. Lawyers have access to the dissomaster and he showed me that I would have to pay$1800.00 a month in spousal support. I couldn’t believe it and had him run it a couple of times.We went to court two times, each time David said about 4 sentences to the judge basically said my client does not feel that is fair. Even though my wife had stopped paying her half of the household bills about a year earlier David tried to convince me to cut a deal where I would pay my wife $1000.00 a month for 12 months. I told him it would not be possible for me to pay the mortgage and rest of the bills and pay her that much money, I don’t have it.For filling out the court paper work and showing up to court two times David charged me over $9,000.00. I fired him and hired a paralegal for $650.00. All the paralegal does is find the right court paperwork and fill them out ( I knew this going in).Went to court again and wife’s lawyer wants to negotiate so I listen. He said the court will order what the dissomaster states and it states $1800.00 a month for 12 months. He said there is a good chance she will get a percentage of my retirement and I would have to pay her lawyer fees.Note: my wife has a full time job (for many years). She earns $55,000.00 a year and has online stores that generate additional income. After a few hours of negotiation we agreed that I would pay $400.00 a month for 12 months and I would not have to pay for her lawyer fees and they would not go for my retirement.After I signed, wife’s lawyer began to talk bad about my lawyer David and how he takes advantage of his clients to take all their money. He said David knows how much he can take because he has you fill out disclosure doc’s with bank records showing your savings and checking and how much your paychecks are. Wife’s lawyer goes on to laugh and say your lawyer David, his wife works for me in my office!Looking back I believe David’s strategy was to tell me the worst news because he believed I would see him as a hero when the courts denied my wife’s demands. I have since found out from other lawyers that the courts don’t have to use the dissomaster especially for a two year marriage and that after they typed in both incomes into the dissomaster it shows that I would pay $450.00 a month for 12 months.I do not recommend David Martin.

Excellent attorney, very detailed and thorough, yet kind and respectful.

We hired Andrew for a child custody case. He told us time and time again that there was no way we could lose. He literally did nothing and after about $6000, we lost. Don’t hire someone if they tell you they’ve never done this type of case before.
