There is a new system at Niello since our last service. They send a text message with a link which shows problem areas with your car and indicates levels of urgency. Sounds better than it feels in practice. They are really pushing additional services, beyond what seems reasonable. Also, we find we can’t work with the service advisor we have come to trust; since he’s not there when we show up for our appointment. We don’t plan to use them any longer.

I had not been to this Niello in a very loooooong time but I needed to see what was wrong with my car. I called Niello to schedule a date and time to have my car inspected, and the service guy I spoke with named Travis was very polite and managed to book me a reasonable date and time (even during COVID) to have my car inspected. I took my car in on agreed date (running 20 minutes behind) and spoke with advisor Brandon, who was very friendly and polite as well. I stayed in the lobby area waiting on my car and after the inspection was complete he walked me through the photos and estimate of the things that needed to be fixed. It was a bigger bill than expected, but I did appreciate Brandons professionalism and willingness to work with me to get the items done on my own time so I would not have to pay everything up front. I have purchased my last two cars from this place and when I get my next car I will be returning back here as well.

We had a very good experience at Niello. We were looking to go all electric and purchase the ID.4 Pro S. Jose did a great job. He was very helpful and slowly guided us through the decision making to purchase process. We always fear the pressure sales pitch, but we did not get that. Jose was respectful, patient and answered our many questions. We would definitely go back. We ended up leasing the ID.4 Pro S and love it! It is also nice to get the added perk of free charging for three years on Electrify America network!

We had trouble with our car and living thirty minutes from the closest Volkswagen dealership we were hesitant about taking our care there. Niello Volkswagen alleviated all of our fears. They were able to fix everything that was under our warranty and gave us our 40,000 mile service for our great rate as well. They were even able to get everything done the next day. It was an awesome level of service and they did a great job of explaining everything they were doing and making us feel comfortable. I will be taking our car there whenever it needs to be serviced !

Worst experience. I had a electronic brake problem with my car where it was basically undriveable. I called Niello and they told me I had to make an appointment and they were booked out for the next month. I already had one for a service appointment but it was weeks out. Since VW customer service and the user manual had been unhelpful I waited and towed my car in. They said it would be ready the end of the day. When I came back they said they needed to keep it over the weekend. Monday came, no update. I eventually called them and they said they needed to order a new part. Days passed, no update. When I called they said the person who was on my case RETIRED and the new person proceeded to ask me “is your car safe to drive?” shouldn’t they be telling me?? They then told me the parts they ordered didn’t fix it and they were yet again ordering a new one. Only it wasn’t available in this country and would take 2 more weeks to arrive. To make matters worse they told me they could not set me up with a rental car because I wasn’t 21. So I was out of a car for 2 months, still had to make my car payments, and uber payments, and had to pay them 200 dollars. They told me they’d wash my car. Well it looked like they had, but maybe 2 weeks before I picked it up. It had rain streaks all over it and was dirty. And the gas tank was nearly empty. And there was a chip on my windshield that I’m confident wasn’t there before that. I ended up having to pay 50 dollars for it to be sealed at the place I went to get my car rewashed after such a lousy job.

The online appointment scheduling is simple. The mechanics, technicians and staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth (with an edge on customer service). I made the appointment to have the AC serviced and was informed of a few other things that are due for maintenance but was never pressured or given a guilt trip to approve the work. It makes me want to continue bringing my 07 Jetta back for all maintenance including oil changes. Couldn’t get a car wash today, but that was a small thing compared to all the amazingly great service provided. I’m very happy and will definitely come back again. (Brandon is a GREAT mechanic!!!)

Niello is the best experience I’ve had so far purchasing a vehicle. Michael Ellis was the person I dealt with directly and the process was seamless and smooth. When I got to the dealership the car was ready to go, I took it for a short test drive and we completed the paperwork right after, no hassle. We got the car we wanted plus and upgrade:) Jamal was super sweet, very experienced, he explained every detail of the car, its functions, features, specs and so on. I bought my 2019 VW Tiguan SEL R-Line back in September of 2019. I recently moved to MN from Sacramento and my front aftermarket suspension that was installed on the car at Niello before purchasing it was blown out and leaking fluid. Even though I was 1900 miles away Scott was able to help me out and fully honored the warranty on the aftermarket parts. When I lived in Sacramento I always recommended Niello VW to all my VW friends if they were looking for a new car because their customer service is absolutely out standing! By far the best customer service experience I have had from a dealership. I highly recommend you pay them a visit if you are in the market for a VW!

My Service Advisor, Ron, provided awesome customer service!He was knowledgeable, made good recommendations, kept me informed, and was very pleasant, courteous and professional to work with.I had Ron one other time before for a service visit on my VW Jetta and it was with the same outstanding result.My wait time was minimal and my final cost for services was lower than originally quoted.The customer waiting area at Niello is great with the comfortable atmosphere and all the modern conveniences, and the staff members are courteous and professional as well.I highly recommend Niello VW for servicing your vehicle and I definitely plan to be a repeat customer.

Car was not washed when it was given back to me.-Plastic was inside my car and papers from the dealership-I asked them to look at sensor twice when I made a appointment and when I was in a lyft driving home spoke to a Brent. Who said he would relay message to my service person roger (Brent lied) when I spoke to roger when my car was ready he had no clue what I was talking about. When I made the appointment it was also not added.Roger was nice and sent me a lyft. Rest of my experience not happy. Spoke to Scott who offered me a free wash , but didn’t ask my name. I spent 300$ today yikes-

We have been going to Niello VW for years for service to our Volkswagen vehicles. We had recently leased a 2021 Jetta at Niello, and were experiencing a few issues.Once the car was checked in for its appointment, the Service Advisor was at first not accepting my descriptions of what was happening with the car while we were driving it. He was very near to condescending when speaking to me regarding what we were experiencing with the car. We have been leasing Jettas since 2009, and have a good idea on how they should perform.With the four issues I was reporting, the Advisor said they would probably keep it overnight, depending on what they found. Around 3:40 pm (they had the car at 8:00 am), the Advisor called to say they were going to do a software update that would take 3 hours, and asked if we wanted to get the car and bring it back, or leave it. Opted to leave it, with the Advisor informed to call my wife when the car was done, as I would be out of town. After I hung up, I texted him to confirm that they would wash the car, as Niello always does when a car is serviced by them. He confirmed they would we can do that - no worries.The next day, the Advisor called me at 1:35 pm, telling me the car was ready. I reminded him I was out of town, and to call my wife.When I returned home later in the day, I found the car had not been washed, as promised.This was not their best effort on fulfilling promises and it is the least happy I have been with their service.

I had an appointment at 10am to test drive the new ID.4. I showed on time and was informed that It has just gone out for a test drive. I proceeded to wait for a half an hour, giving me about 5 minutes to check out the vehicle before heading off to work. When I commenting on how this was unprofessional, the salesman stammered off something about trying to fit the slots in. Thing is, see, I had an appointment. Not an appointment to sit around for half an hour to waste my time.As the great and powerful Seinfeld one said, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just dont know how to *hold* the reservation. And thats really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. Anybody can just take them.When I dropped off the key off, the young woman I handed the key to asked so, how was it? I responded that it was okay, but I only had about 5 minutes with the car because of the wait. She then snottily said Ok then, have a nice rest of your day. She has a bit to learn about service recovery.I did, however, have a fairly stellar experience in their service department about a month prior on my e-Golf. I was forced to at least give them a star for that.

I was scheduled for a minor service to replace a broken trim piece inside my jetta today. This location can get quite busy and this team does their best to accommodate everyone and get vehicles back on the road quickly and that includes my vehicle today. One thing that was very helpful was they arranged a lyft for me to get home since I didnt have a ride back, no cost to me which I truly appreciated. Looking forward to my next visit.

Id avoid at all costs. There are much better dealerships that understand circumstances. Go into the BMW store nearby and you will notice a big difference in how the staff is. Walked into this dealership and was surprised to see the staff all chatting with coffee on a table and when they saw me, I was greeted by no one. I had to go into an office and interrupt someones phone call to get some attention. Id advise a much better establishment if I were you.

My wife was in the market for a new family SUV. After a great deal of research, we landed at Niello VW to look at the VW Atlas. Expecting to be swarmed by slimy salespeople, we were pleasantly surprised to be met by Jose who was a very nice, knowledgeable guy who made us feel welcomed. Between Jose and his associate Steve who was also a great help, we were able to agree to a deal that worked out for everyone, and my wife drove home in her new 2021.5 Atlas SE Tech R-Line. Out of all of the VW dealers I spoke with (which was almost all of them within 100miles of us) I would happily return to Niello Volkswagen.

We had the infamous chk engine light come on (a fairly reg event, that is covered by warranty). Our normal Service advisor was on vacation, so we got someone else. Who couldnt locate our warranty info, and after diagnostic informed us of lots of needs immediate attn items. Ironically, I went thru our Niello records from 2mo earlier (car is rarely driven due to wrking from home). The prior 2 svcs had the items marked as not urgent, same mm on front brakes. The advisor attempted to explain the urgency until I brought up the 2 prior svc inspections, incl a recent one at a different vw, when car was used for out of town funeral. Ive always been blessed with honest advisors, until I got this guy. There were other issues with him that made us want to discontinue my relationship with Niello. We are still on fence. Keep your svc records an bring them w/ u. Ron & Roger are good, honest guys- wrk with them. **Edit, Head of Svc dept, contacted me to find out what happened, and actually researched everything. Some things we agreed could have been worded differently * and were misunderstandings, as far as language used. Hes using this occurrence as a learning point, for his people.** So thumbs up to him, for being willing to listen & look for ways to correct things or prevent future issues.**

My e-golf had electrical errors. Had the car towed to them on Saturday night after-hours. Service isnt open on Sunday. Despite having limited staff to work on an e-golf, By noon on Monday, my car was ready to be picked up. Great and quick service.

I didn’t wake up Friday morning expecting to drive to Sac from the Bay Area to purchase a car, but that’s exactly what happened. I saw the Jetta I wanted, a trim level above what I was previously looking for with only 7500 miles, and $3000 below KBB. Rare find rn. DJ was my salesperson who set me up with everything, so my GF and I could test drive right away. Afterward, we figured out the finances, met with Vincent, signed our paperwork and headed home. Start to finish was 4 hours. DJ was great. Straight forward, and very nice at the same time. Vincent was upbeat and a pleasure to work with. I know when I’m being upsold but Vincent came off as offering me what was available versus an imposing sales tactics. Totally cool when it’s delivered with tact. All in all, one of the best car buying experiences I’ve had at a dealership.

On May 29th of this year I went to Niello Volkswagen of Sacramento to purchase a new 2021 Jetta GLI. My wife and I loaded up our three small kids and drove from our house in Stockton up to the dealership in Sacramento. When we got there, the car was already ready to go for a quick test drive. I drove it around for a few minutes, and came back to hopefully get going on the loan process. Got approved and was told we would be signing the papers soon after only 45 minutes. The sales guy informed me that the dealer had modified the new vehicle with aftermarket tires and wheels and lowering springs and those weren’t covered by warranty by manufacturer. I was required to sign a piece of paper that I acknowledged that the car rode differently than an untouched Jetta GLI. The sales guy told us we would all be able to ride in it and made the paper seem like just a formality and so I signed the paper. The paper in no way released niello from liability btw but that’s another matter. After almost 4 hours, we finally were signing papers after we got aggravated at how long it took. I was excited to have my car and drove away with my wife and kids following behind. A couple of weeks go by and I’m on my way to pick my parents up from San Francisco in my new car! I couldn’t wait to show my parents and enjoy a nice ride back to Stockton. My parents loaded up their baggage and off we went. I made it about 50 feet and notice a horrible rubbing sound coming from the rear of the car. The back wheel well was completely rubbing on the sidewall of the rear tires! I pulled over as soon as I was able to inspect the damage. Both sidewalls (especially the back right) were chewed up and the top of the wheel well where the sidewall and it met was burned, chipped, and started to rust. Obviously I was furious that this was not mentioned to me that IM NOT ABLE TO TAKE ANYONE IN MY CAR. I took pictures with my parents and luggage in the car and without to show my salesperson what had happened. He “assured” me that there was probably nothing to worry about and that it would take a lot to wear down the sidewall that much to cause issues. I ended up setting up an appointment to get it looked at a couple of days later and found out that it was on coilovers, not lowering springs. My wife an I before the appointment wanted to talk with a sales manager to see what could be done to remedy these problems and we were greeted by a guy named Mike. Mike obviously had heard of the situation and went and “inspected” the tires himself and said it didn’t look too bad. We disagreed on this and I said we really want the tires replaced, the car raised up as much as possible, and the paint issue on the wheel well to be fixed. He said because I had signed a document that said that the car “rode” differently that that meant I was responsible for the damages. To me this is dishonest. I went to the dealership originally with the notion of hopefully one day buying from them again. Not anymore. Not only will I never buy a vehicle from them again, I will also be making sure no one I know does either, and I will be taking the services that I paid for in the agreement to another dealership. I’m writing this on the 18th of July, which is a day after I paid over $200 for a brand new tire on a car that has not even 2000 miles. Whoever in the service/sales department decided to put 275mm on a 9.5 inch tire AND lower it on coils without rolling the fenders or at least offering to pay for that for the vehicle is an absolute bafoon. The disrespect I have felt from almost every person at this dealership is mind boggling. Not owning up to your mistake is one thing, but treating me like I’m an idiot and that I should have known has really irritated me. I can’t recommend any department of this dealership to anyone as they all seem like a bunch of money hungry jerks. You’ve lost a customer Niello, and I hope I can influence others to feel the same.

Took my Volkswagen Jetta to Niello VW the other day for an oil change and it was a very good experience. I was early so the line was short and my service writer took care of me. I told them what I wanted , they listened and there was no huge “upswell”! Niello also performed complimentary vehicle inspection. Everything checked out good and I was out of there with in 11/2hrs👀! They made me & my car feel important , gave a free car wash and all with a smile! This will be my spot for auto care with my 2013 Jetta! Highly recommend Niello VW for your auto service/Maintenance !

My seat heater stopped working and I brought my car to Niello to have it fixed. Travis Cole was my service advisor and he took really good care of me. Travis got in touch with warranty company and made sure that the repair was covered under the warranty. I thought that I would have to pay for parts, at least. But thanks to Travis, I didnt have to pay anything. I was super impressed and pleased about this!

I called the dealer regarding the vehicle that I was interested in. Dyllan answered the phone, confirmed that the vehicle with the two colors I was interested in was in stock. Mike and Brandon arranged for the Jaguar store to give me the best price on my trade,. All the legwork was completed so that all I had to do was pick up my wife. They let me drive the beautiful Ted Jetta to pick up my wife, she loved the vehicle. The price was exactly what Dyllan had quoted me in the very first phone conversation. Do not bother with this dealership. I was looking to trade in my 2021 Atlas for a Tiguan. The Atlas is nice looking but the handling, ride, acceleration and gas mileage are less than desired (don’t buy one, especially for over 50k). Jamal, who I worked with was really nice, however not that knowledgeable when it came to inventory they had. I was looking for an SEL premium with a 3rd row. Mind you this was my 2nd time back. He looked for one at a different dealership and was able to locate one. Great! Then proceeds to tell me they will only give me a price of a 2018/2019 for my Atlas. Which is SEL premium 4 motion , running boards and the rare brown leather interior. I tried to ask Jamal if we could meet in the middle somewhere so I could dump this overly priced Atlas and was told “my manager is only willing to offer X”. Cool so you don’t want the sale. I’m staying with VW, have Tier 1 credit AND am going to buy another VW with VW credit. WOW! Neillo you’re unbelievable! Then the kicker, there’s a nice NEW ding on my driver door. There isn’t ONE ding or scratch on my vehicle , but now there is! Don’t bother with this dealership and don’t buy a VW they DO NOT HOLD THEIR VALUE! y’all need to get it together at this dealership!

I used their online scheduling and night drop off service. I left copious details of warranty work I needed in the form. When I dropped the car off, I referenced the warranty work again on the drop off form. When they emailed me the car was done, I asked if the warranty work was completed and they responded yes.When I picked the car up, I found no one had noticed the notes and the work was not done. They changed the oil and rotated the tires.

Scott Russo started as a service advisor in which I had the pleasure of working with many times. Scott was a great advisor professional and honest. Currently he is the service manager. He carried his values over to his new position. I trust my vehicle at this location. I had a concern about some rattling noise coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle and also noticed a foul smell coming from the air conditioner. I wasnt sure if both of these issues were going to be taken care of in the same day, so I was ready to schedule another appointment. Well, Ron said ?We will make the time to service all your concerns.? I was impressed!!! Everything was fixed!! Ron has been my serviceman from day one and he is the exception when it comes to Superior Customer Service. Keep Ron around as he is an asset.

Found the car i wanted here and they had took care of my smog and dmv paperwork. If your a new buyer like i was definately bring someone with loads of car purchasing experience with you. Or you may end up signing up for more than you need on a contract. I had ended up with a bit more cash added on to my car note with a separate financing agency. So i will be needing 5 years to pay my entire car off.Its fine because it was a learning experience i was a new buyer. Very beautiful car i fell in love with my hyundai this photo here was the day after purchase...

Got a screw in my tire nearby so I stopped at les schwab for repair. Tech wouldnt fix it, said my tire was too worn. Then I took it to Nielson. They dont repair but recommended new tires.. So I took it to Costco, they said it was getting worn but definitely not too worn for repair. So Costco tire fixed it.

My wife and I had a great experience car shopping while at Niello Volkswagon. We do not have much experience with car dealerships, and car shopping wasnt something we looked forward to. However, Stephen was an excellent guide for us, not at all pushy and very knowledgeable. He patiently answered our many, many questions, and allowed us to check out a bunch of different cars. Ultimately we decided to purchase a different kind of car, but Id be happy to check out Niello Volkswagon again in the future based on our great experience.

Like the convenience that they come and pick up your car at your house, but not happy to pay $80 to clear a engine light that was because I didn’t close tight the gas cap. Ridiculous to pay so much for a 2 seconds job that a computer does. No human tools/labor involved. Not going back, rather go to Sacramento VW. Not happy customer!

I bought a used car from Niello VW. It was a great experience. Very low pressure sellers, a 45 day warranty, and a week to decide if I wanted to keep the car or not. I was very impressed with the inspection they did on my car and am confident it will be a reliable vehicle that I will have for years. No one ever called me back for weeks regarding ordered parts I was told would take 3 days. I was given incorrect information now on 2 occasions. I will definitely go elsewhere and hope for better treatment before returning here. My impression is theyre too busy to remember to treat their customers with respect.

I’ve been loyal Niello customer since moving here in 2007, but between my less than stellar experience in February, all the changes in staff, and the new outrageous pricing, sadly the time has come for me to take my vehicles elsewhere. The Niello that was, is no longer the Niello that is. You went from a being a great and welcoming place, to a business I no longer recognize. You’ve lost a lot of great, quality people who made Niello such a cool place to do business with. I can sadly say I recognize maybe 3 employees from when I first came to Niello. Long gone are the familiar and welcoming faces in Service and much of the ever so helpful crew in the Parts Department. Those people are what helped you keep my business this long, and a big part of the reason you are losing it. One doesn’t enjoy going to the dealer, but these people made it feel more like I was going to visit a friend.I hope you find your way back to your roots, and remember to treat your employees and customers like they’re family, and not just a number or dollar sign.

Roger Bybee (service rep) appears nice and accommodating on the surface and indeed knows what the customer wants to hear. But dont let that fool you. Was told that I was most likely under warranty for a defective part. Scheduled an appointment and less than 5 minutes Roger had a new answer for me! I am over the allowable mileage and the years for the extended warranty. Had I been told that over the phone I wouldnt have wasted my time but Roger knows how to get you to his dealership! Honestly dont know why I expected any differently. Thanks for nothing Niello! Cheers

Niello VW is going down hill fast. They used to have the best employees but it has been changing. All the good employees that probably made too much money have been let go. Ordered a part in the morning and was told it would go out on the 12:30 truck. At 4:00 we called because the part has not showed up. To fined out the driver did not take it and that they would not be delivering it. Niello apparently was not going to tell us it was not coming. We had to call to fined out. The staff they let go would not have done this. Dont buy from Niello VW.

What was advertised was clear and correct, there was very low pressure and we felt like we had the time and information to make an educated decision.
