I’ve been using them for major repairs for almost 5 years. They have never let me down. Brakes and water pump on my VW Tiguan, replaced motor and exhaust on my Jeep. Sensors on my BMW. Everything done right, I’m a happy camper.

They scheduled appointment for me after I read the message on the dashboard for him. The guy said ‘no worries, we will do diagnostics and take care of it’ I drove 40 minutes to the shop, the guy at the front desk told me ‘oops, the new guy didn’t know when he scheduled the appointment, we can’t fix this here, take it to a dealer’. I was furious. After me explaining the issue, scheduling appointment, taking time off work, driving for 40 minutes, they said ‘oops’.Really unprofessional and didn’t even apologise.Don’t waste your time with these people.

Had work done on my Audi and it was done at a good price compared to the dealership. They updated me throughout the process and gave good advice on what should be done. I appreciate them caring for my car like it was their own.

I wouldn’t recommend taking your BMW here or buying a vehicle from these folks. I normally use another shop but used these guys for a extended warranty alternator replacement on my BMW.5 months later, I had not been driving the car much do to Covid(mileage reflects this)but took a trip to Tahoe where the engine began to smoke from the engine at the top of Echo summit. Upon first inspection it appeared there was a leak from the rear of the valve cover.I had the vehicle towed to my family’s place in Tahoe and went to remove the engine covers to take a closer look - and this is where things get interesting. I found the rear two engine cover screws missing, and once I removed the cover I found a thumb sized hole in my valve cover- guess where? The n54 valve cover has two screw holes in the rear, and mine was missing one leaving the hole in the valve cover! The last shop or anyone to touch my vehicle was German star motors. There is no possible way to re-install this cover without realizing the screw could not be installed because the hole for it and the plastic around it was missingI spoke with the shop manager who denied them having damaged it, emphasizing they haven’t seen the vehicle in 5 months ago(I’ve been working from home, again mileage reflects this). I let him know I would be replacing the valve cover in Tahoe and could not bring him the vehicle for him to inspect it. I offered to bring in the parts, photos, and video I’ve collected as I meticulously combed through their past work. I found more bad work, including missing screws, clips, and engine wiring not routed correctly. I told him I would be towing the car to my preferred shop in Sacramento for further inspection as I was concerned plastic had entered the valve train and could cause issues. I told him it wasn’t possible to bring him the vehicle at which point he told me there was nothing he could do and then accused me of having “another agenda”.I think the photos speak for themselves. At this point I’m into the repair over $700 in parts alone. These guys can’t even replace an alternator without causing damage, I’d never let them touch my vehicle again.

Great service, cheaper then dealerships, help you get the parts, and install everything extremely quickly. I had to change my exhaust pipe, and change the the 2 front bushings, with a tire alignment, they did all of this in the time the promised, and they saw rusted bolts, and even replaced those as well. Great and amazing service with extremely quick repairs.

Our Audi TT was in need of repair prior to a smog check. There were multiple issues but German Star Motors got to the bottom of the issue and all for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be using German Star Motors for our auto repairs. Thanks!

Not a good shop over all they dont know how to do proper work and then do everything they can to not cover their work. I was extremely disappointed and I lost a bunch of money bringing my car here. Now I need to have a different shop redo all of their work.

I have taken my 2012 Mercedes C350 for routine for the past 3 years with an intermittent problem that they can’t seem to figure out.I just recently paid $1700 for them to fix my engine light problem. Well I pay the $1700 and I’m still having the same exact problem that I had before I brought my car in they seem to be a little suspicious because I asked for my old parts and they couldn’t provide those either soooooo DONT BRING YOUR GERMAN CAR TO GERMAN STAR MOTORS!!! They can’t fix it! I have no confidence in them!!!They keep giving me the run around.

Do not come here unless you want to get ripped off! They barely did any work on my car and charged me $700. I could have got an engine swapped for that price. They didnt even diagnose my check engine light! Now my car wont pass smog and Im out $700. Never again!!!!

Charged me for programming EWS and changing the position switch for the transmission, but only programmed the EWS, they didnt even touch the switch, i only found out when it started to misbehave again, when i told GSM about it, first they denied it, but after speaking with the mechanic the admitted. But no refund or anything, i give u credit for next visit was the reply

They accidentally overcharged me, and then called me to let me know. I went in, and they credited me, explained why the error happened (they ordered a duplicate part to make sure I got my vehicle on time, since the original ordered part would be in a day late, and both ended up on my bill).I appreciated the honesty, and my vehicle runs just fine.
