Matthew Buchanan offers exceptional customer service and is a genuinely nice guy. After a particularly unpleasant auto accident, I had several insurance questions that I did not feel comfortable discussing with my own insurance company, since they were processing my claim. A friend who was a client of Matthew’s gave me his cell phone number and I called him around 8 PM in the evening. Long story short, he spent an hour on the phone with me (a complete stranger) and answered every single one of my questions. More importantly, however, after listening to my situation, he gave me a couple of fantastic pieces of advice regarding my family’s insurance coverage going forward. Coverage, I would add, with another agency from which he would not profit a dime! I was super impressed with him!

I was handling a drivers citation and kept running into an issue with the court clerks. Christa went well above to help me out. Christa provided me with the documents I needed, explained to me how the Farmers app would save me all this trouble in the future, and to top it off, she actually got on the phone with me and the court clerk to ensure that there were no further issues.I really appreciate Christa for taking ownership of the issues I was having. One of my vehicles was totaled in a hit and run. From my Agent Matt, to the claims office, to the adjuster, to the towing company the process was completed professionally, courteously, and in a timely manner. The $$ is in the bank and I bought another car yesterday!!! Thanks to Matt and Farmers for making this loss into as pleasant of an experience as possible. After being referred by family, Ashley, (an agent in Matts office), offered to give me a quote almost 3 years ago, and not thinking she could match the already great rate I had I said go for it. To my surprise, they beat the rate and increased my coverage! I now carry two auto policies and a renters policy with Matt. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their product, and I have been thrilled with the always available customer service. Ashley always goes above and beyond to make sure I understand my policy and that I have everything I need.

Matt and Ashley have always been available to answer any question or make any update to my policy. They are both very knowledgeable about the office operations and need for any changes to save some money for me. Cant always save any money but they attempt anyway. Always available!!!I got pulled over early one morning on the way to work and forgot my new insurance card at home. Afraid I was going to be towed I gave my agent a call ( before business hours) and they were able to email me my insurance card and I was able to show it the police officer! I have had insurance from several different companies but the Buchanan Agencys customer service alone keeps me as a loyal customer!

Dishonest. Scammers. My agent tells me one quote, but when I get the bill from the main office its always much higher than they quoted! Always some additional fees that other insurance companies dont charge. They think they are entitled. It seems like to often I am on the phone having them explain why my bill is not what they said it was going to be. They frustrate me. For over a year, I was on the wrong plan before I realized it, paying almost twice as much. Ever since then, Ive had problems. I will never use Farmers again.

Matts a real straight shooter. Talking my business operations over Isnt about what I should buy, but rather how to structure my business to minimize all my expenses, including insurance expenses.
