A++ Customer Service. The team was great to work with. Id gladly pay again for great services because you cant beat quality customer service. They were willing to work with and install items they dont normally do. They were even willing to meet me in the middle on some things we didnt agree on, which I really appreciated. Once again I am impressed with Atlanta Home Theaters attention to detail and competent support. While we dont need to call them very often, their last visit was another problem solving success. FYI, the company installed our theater and light system about a decade ago and two years ago we had them add video surveillance and make some upgrades. Whenever we have a technical or user ignorance issue, they are quick to resolve it. The staff is exceptionally well trained.

We had a very good experience with the team here. All the technicians are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and great to work with. They explain things well and are courteous, responsible, and timely. It almost feels like family working with them. They have a 24 hour hotline that has been invaluable to us when our tv goes out in the middle of the weekend. Response times for scheduling visits are quick.

I have been a client for almost 20 years. Their service is fantastic. If my needs are urgent, they have come out the same evening. I purchased a home theater system and some lighting controls from Atlanta Home Theater originally back in 2014, along with a somewhat complicated and unusual installation. I would say it was custom, but that is just about everything they do, and that was why I hired them. I am nowhere near the biggest or most complicated customer that AHT has served, but the investment was a big one for me. In the time since, they have helped me move my equipment to a new home and provided service whenever I have had issues.AHTs commitment to customer service and satisfaction is outstanding. I contracted Atlanta Home Theater to help improve our media room. We had picked up nice equipment over the years but wanted more of a theater experience especially given the Covid limitations. AHT was outstanding. I met with Scott at my home and shared my vision and he and his team took it from there. I couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. Additionally, the process was that of a top notch professional organization as well. We will most certainly continue to use AHT in the future for our media needs. I unequivocally give AHT the highest recommendation.

There are companies that say they are five stars but Atlanta Home Theater seems to make it happen everyday. The renovation and updates of the electronics in our basement turned out perfectly and above and beyond our expectations. Their team was always on time, courteous and a pleasure to work with. I had grand expectations when I decided to use AHT for several projects at our home in Big Canoe.Our first visit there was on a weekend and there was no one there but us and a black gentleman who I understand was an installer (its been a while and Im sorry I dont know his name). He was awesome and took us around to all the rooms, played different songs etc so we could listen to the various pieces of equipment and speakers. It was a great experience and we knew we wanted AHT to do something like that for us.We met with Scott at our hose and discussed a plan. The first phase was revising an old Control4 system that mainly managed the TVs and ceiling speakers. Looking back, I can see that the scope of the project went unnoticed. I now see that the sales and design aspect of the project were just superficial. The installer (who is no longer with AHT) was awesome and was the person that was responsible in getting the system setup the way it is now, and I am very pleased with that part. He and his helper did an outstanding job with the Control4 and Sonos setup, as well as some new network hardware. Had it not been for him, we wouldnt have purchased half of what we purchased. He understood what we wanted/needed and knew what to do to make it all happen. They lost a really good person when he left.We decided to wait to start Phase 2 until after the first of the year, so there was a 2-3 month gap after the Control4/Sonus part of the project was supposedly completed. I sent an email saying I was ready to get started on Phase 2 and what do we need to do to get started, but they informed me that they could no longer do my project since they were now too busy. Just when you think you have it all figured out and are ready to proceed and you get dumped. They did refer me to someone else, which I really couldnt be happier with, and I will share that below.Fine. So I asked them to finish labeling the Control4 switches and we would be done. At that point I was informed that many of the switches would have to be replaced in order to have them engraved, and it was going to cost me an additional $2500 to have them switched out, and thats with a discount on labor. They might as well have slapped me in the face. Ill label my own switches for $2500. Seriously? Im not sure where the breakdown in communications was, but it was a big one.So... this is my opinion. You go in their showroom and you see all the fancy bells and whistles and you get a great dog and pony show, but they dont really want to do your room, they really just want to sell you equipment. If you want a media/home theater room, go elsewhere. You apparently need to spend more money than I wanted to spend or they dont really want to do your room. It sounds like to me they cant handle much work because they dont seem to have the manpower.I do not recommend AHT, and to those people that I did recommend them to, I apologize. I will make sure to warn everyone that I talked to, because I certainly dont want to be the person that recommended AHT, and then have something like this happen with their project. There are a lot of folks up here that have money to do media rooms, and this story will certainly be shared with those people.If you need a room design from start to finish, I highly recommend Quest Acoustical Interiors. Theyve already been out to measure our room and have started the design process. I was going to use AHT for the equipment purchase, even after they told me they couldnt do the room project, but after the switch(s) fiasco, I will now source my equipment elsewhere.The installer measured the rooms (18 tall windows) for motorized shades that could be managed with the Control4 system. Do you think we ever heard anything back about those? Was anyone going to show me styles, colors, options? Thats a lot of money by itself, but apparently no interest.There is a blessing and a reason for the way things happen, and I cant help but think that were in much better hands with Quest for my room project.Good luck with your project...

I have been a customer of Atlanta Home Theater for over 18 years. Since my initial project in 2002, I have had 5 significant upgrades to my home theater. The decision making of how the system I wanted could be achieved and what equipment would best accomplish it has always been a fun, informative and collaborative process with Scott and his staff. One thing that always has and continues to impress me about AHT, is they never try to sell you more or better than you need or want. However, once I better understand my options and the associated features and benefits of various system components, I usually end up convincing myself to go for the higher quality approach, which I should also add has proven to be the right decision in every case. The key to making these sometimes difficult decisions is the high level, and in my opinion unmatched level of knowledge and expertise that Scott and the AHT staff provide. Once the major decisions are made, Joe confirms the installation schedule with me, and the crew arrives as promised and on time, and sees the project through to a complete and satisfactory conclusion. My system is somewhat unique and deceptively complicated due to my operating preferences, which in turn always seems to yield a couple of baffling gremlin issues. No matter how minor or major the issues may be, the staff at AHT remains committed to the project until every outstanding issue is resolved to my complete satisfaction. Scott, Joe, Chris, Thomas, Bob, Tiffany and the rest of the staff I have interacted with, which is just about everyone I think, provide a very personal and exceptional level of professionalism to their customers. Perhaps equally as important is the ongoing service and support they provide if and when you have any system issues. They are simply a pleasure to work with and is why I have remained such a loyal customer for so many years. For anyone thinking about a home theater from the simplest to the most complicated, I give AHT my highest recommendation. You will be glad you did!

How professional!Second they call out, by name, two vendors and our experience with them that is not accurate and could be considered malicious with intent to harm.Third - they give future customers a reason not to use them for home theater and automation. They are booked until 2022. Clearly they dont have the availability to help you.The following is our post.Our home, including the theater room are getting a complete remodel. After several weeks of scheduling and rescheduling a consult they have decided to decline bidding on the work. Why? Three reasons.1) We have a few components that are perfect for our system but if we dont replace them with new from AHT they dont want the work. Even though we are upgrading the core components like the TV, moving walls, adding high-end cables and upgrading the power supply to a dedicated 30amp. AND, we are redesigning the wall to put racking out of view.2) they are only interested in a job starting at $20,000 but spent most of their time telling us about a $400k that is more in line with their mission.3)Adding in streaming tech and upgrading whole home network was a focus but couldnt answer basic questions.Spend your money somewhere else. We now have to start over.

The quality of the work which AHT did for us was very comprehensive from installing a new home theatre to a full range of home automation on music, security, etc. We interacted with numerous tech people. The quality of the equipment and the responsiveness of the tech people was superb. We are very pleased with end product. However, we did experience some challenges getting original specifications of the project to align with our intended scope of automation work.

We had Atlanta Home Theater help us redesign our 2000 home theater system with new audio, speakers, and projection television system. Both Scott and Jay came out to our home and saw what home theater system we had and prepared a very detailed proposal for a new home thestet system. Their proposal contained all the basic equipment necessary and upgraded options, as well. I visited their showroom to see and hear what the new system would be like. After deciding on the final equipment list, we had them proceed with the installation. Atlanta Home Theater have very knowledgeable and professional staff. They did an outstanding job and completed the job within the time frame specified. They meticulously labeled and tied down all wires and cords so it looks very neat and organized. We would highly recommend them for any home theater system.

Not impressed with follow through. Theater chairs have never been right and they just quit.Follow up.Yes this is the correct company in spite of owners comment. My name is not on the order. Sorry they seem to have a memory laps regarding us.A few days after the original post my wife got a call asking about the post. Then there were two follow up visit and most concerns were addressed.

Atlanta Home Theater relocated our Control 4 system to our new home and did a complete upgrade of all TV locations, audio and a new theater. It was a full week plus job. The home was newer yet had its interesting quirks.Joe Coots, James, and Scott specifically handled the entire project professionally, efficiently and to our total satisfaction. The Control 4 system is intuitive. The entire family was well educated how to use it by James. Everyone in the home is thrilled with the finished work. Each Atlanta Home Theater team member was incredible. We gladly would recommend them to all our friends.

In March of 2018 we purchased a house that had home theater and home audio installed and serviced by AHT. The initial installation was done in 2012/13 with subsequent service calls. Recently, we started planning for a large shower party in our house and needed to make sure several zones of our home audio would be working. I was out of town most of the last two years and was eager to have system eventually upgraded, but at this point the emphasis was at the operation of the existing system. The previous owner did not leave any instructions.I spoke with Joe, the AHT operations manager in hope they could send someone (whom I would pay) to check the system and make sure it works. To my dismay Joe explained that such a thing would not be profitable for them, that the system (7 years old) is too outdated for anyone to assist me (???) but they would be happy to send over their designer to upgrade the system.This is an example of a snotty, quick $$$ service that I will never use. I was willing to invest much more over this summer in upgrading the whole system, but there is this sense that there are much more important customer$$$ out there, and thats what it counts (in Joes world). I am sorry, Joe, but after 21 years in business (your claim), you havent learned a dang thing about the customer service. And that coming from someone running his own consulting business for the past 11 years.

Lightning hit my equipment and Atlanta Home Theater came in to evaluate the damage and was very understanding of the situation. They found the best and least expensive solution to my problem. They were able to run new cable to my new equipment that is not seen and it was between floors. Thanks to Isaiah and crew for your help and professional attitude.

What sets this company apart from all others (even in non-related industries) is that their employees ALL seem to love working for Scott and Jennifer. They are, apparently, treated as equal and not employees; their turnover rate must be close to zero; and the quality of work is beyond reproach. Each person I have worked with over the last 20 years is incredibly competent, easy to work with and easy to communicate with. What more could a prospective client ask for? HIGHLY recommended! I am from Phoenix and have recently begun investing in my home audio. I was in Norcross, GA for business with a weekend to kill and found Atlanta Home Theater by accident while browsing online and decided to stop by.At first glance I was not sure this was a business because it is set up in a huge stone house. I walked in and was immediately visually intimidated and felt like a fish out of water. I was greeted right away and put at ease and shown around. I explained my circumstances and it did not change a thing.I was handed off to a gentleman who is obviously an audiophile and spent approx 45 minutes blowing my mind with demos of their incredible audio capabilities. There was no pressure at all; he just seemed to enjoy watching me enjoy the awesomeness of what they do.I did not buy a thing, but gained some useful information and appreciation for what high end truly looks like.This business is top of the line and oozes competence and will certainly be able to help you achieve whatever AV dream you have for your home.

Atlanta Home Theater installed a Control4 system in my house with several TVs, speakers and a home theater with a large screen, projector and surround sound. I was very impressed at the way they were able to retrofit all of this new equipment into my old house. All of the equipment is professionally and very neatly installed! Atlanta Home Theater provides excellent service! If I need them to come out and fix something they are always there within 24 hours and my problem is fixed when they leave. I highly recommend Atlanta Home Theater!

Atlanta Home Theater replaced an existing projector and surround speakers with a new projector and surround speakers that were better suited to my needs (after they did an evaluation of my requirements). The personnel were very professional. Installation was performed meticulously, and the work space was left completely clean. They did a great job!In addition to the install, they did a full recalibration of my system. When youmre business is home theater installations, its not enough to simply do a great job putting together the system. Its all for naught if the system is not correctly calibrated to optimize the audio/video experience. In my opinion, this is where AHT really excels. I couldnt be more pleased with the time and effort taken to make sure all components were properly talking to each other and, more important, talking to me!Over the last 20 years, I have had three different companies create home theaters for me. They all did professional jobs with respect to the installation. However it was Atlanta Home Theater that put it all together - installation and superior calibration. My wife and I selected AHT for our TV, theater, audio, HVAC, lighting, etc installation in a fairly elaborate new-build of our familys Atlanta area home, where construction concluded in 2016. With AHTs assistance, weve expanded the system a few times since then. After three years we know many of the AHT employees by name, and we admire their skill and professionalism upon every encounter. We made the right selection. Scott and Jennifer run the most professional organization we encounter. AHT stays completely up-to-date on industry trends, product innovations and software updates. The equipment brands they carry are purposefully top notch, tested and highly reviewed, able to perform well at various price points. But more importantly, and as has been shown in our case over the past three years, the AHT employees are likewise top notch; highly skilled, friendly, trustworthy, long-tenured and motivated. In my opinion and after three years, the knowledge and reliability of the installation and service crews over time should be perhaps the most important criteria for a consumer choosing among providers. If you are evaluating home automation companies for a comprehensive system, recognize that the particulars of that industry change routinely as with everything else in the tech world. Do not underestimate the importance of having a company that not only installs and initially programs, but importantly,one that can maintain, update, and occasionally trouble shoot over the years (and in AHTs case with the same employees who already know the system). I have known Scott and many of the staff at AHT for a long time but only became a real customer a few years ago. They were involved in getting my home theater operational and automating most of the theater functions so that most anyone could operate the theater (not a simple task given managing the lighting, screen masking, source selection, etc).More recently, I asked AHT to expand the automation functions in our home to control the alarm system, front door locks, lighting all through the house, etc. I was VERY impressed by the flexibility of the staff to be able to address my somewhat changing requirements. Incredibly responsive. They truly have some amazingly bright folks working for them (all of whom, by the way, love working for Scott).AHT would always be my first choice for the installation of a first class, high quality home theater and any home automation needs that I might have. I spent over 20 years in the high end audio business (which is how I initially met Scott) and I am comfortable saying that Atlanta Home Theater is really in a special class of audio/video/home automation providers. In fact, I have recommended them to some of my very high-profile clients.If you want the best, use the best -- and that would be Atlanta Home Theater !!
