Cool place so far.Great pool area. It has laps for swimming and a lazy river and area for kids.Rock wall looks awesome.I will post more as I learn more.Staff was super nice.

Kinda sad. They only have their hot tub and lazy river. Nothing else is up. Not what it used to be. Too much money for the weekends too.

I used to go to this place with some buddy’s of mine from school and it was a real great place to workout. I’ve never been in the pool but i thought it also looked nice.I see some people nitpicking on these reviews but I thought it was a nice place overall, they even have a little running track upstairs!

Pretty great. My son enjoys every time we go. Waters clear, staff are nice and bathrooms are clean. Highly recommend!

Love this athletic center. Its open to members only right now due to Covid. I kind of like it better because its not too crowded right now. Rock wall, basketball court, hot tub, sauna, and men/women locker rooms are closed. Track, cardio/weight area, pool and family locker rooms currently open. All classes for the month of October are free to members too!

They really need more help,I feel bad for the staff. They really need more life guards, and support staff. Its very sad that the outside will not be open this year and a pending date of July 1st for the inside splash pad to open.Before COVID it was amazing,clean, and not under staffed😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔. Things will get better.

Lifeguards don’t know how to talk to ppl no communication from the front desk to the pool. You can’t even bring your own floaty blow ups for the kids to many stupid rules will never come back plus pool is small.

Ive been to the Romulos Rec Center, 6 days in a row. Totally impressed with the Aquatics, very clean and organized, life guards all clean cut and respectfull, water was perfect.

I left Plant Fitness to rejoin the RAC so my kids could stay fit during COVID, I find it dirty, from the machines to the floor. When you have 3 to 4 ppl seating at the desk on a slow day atleast 2 of them should be walking around cleaning and wiping down the equipment

This DMC physical therapy is The Best place to go to. I Love going there cuz my Physical Therapist knows exactly what to do to take care of my conditions. Emily is my PT n shes The Best!

I understand the limitations due to covid, but now that restrictions have been lifted, it’s disappointing to see the children portion of the pool not being open and also the outside portion. It has been a deal breaker for me not wanting to renew my families membership.

The RAC is a Premier Health and fitness facility. Offers a multitude od activities...friendly, clean and affordable!I work as an Arthritis water Instructor since 3/2008...come join our RAC family.❤

Rules clearly state no children in the spa and they let the kids do whatever they want. 4 lifeguards on duty and not one tells a parent not to put their 2 year old in the hot tub. Changing room had a chair with a puddle of pee on it. Not what I thought it would be.

It was a nice facility. The slide was fast but it was still fun, the lazy river was warm which is appreciated. They let me use my own raft for my daughter which is nice because some places won’t. Overall good experience and a nice family day!

Great party prices for members. You cant beat the family plan 2 adults and 4 kids, I cant complain about that! Its better than a normal gym yet the price includes the whole family and all the activities, which actually factors out to being less than a regular gym membership. Execllent! I only gave it 4 because it would be nice if they had another room like tennis or racket ball.

Great facility. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is so much to do and the classes are great. I have found it to be clean every time Ive gone. The only complaint is that they dropped the Kick Strike class that I lived for.

For a mom that works 20/7 took alot off my plate. I will forever be going here on birthdays for my kids! I had a lovely experience & everyone else was shocked as well everything was great! We rented the pool for a party a few days ago- it was amazing! The life guards were so nice and the pool is clean. The kids had a great time!!

We bought a membership for us and our 3 kids to run the track. We did a 3 month trial membership no problem. The da after we upgraded toge year they tell us the kids cant run the track. They pay as much as everyone else and we are with them all the time. Funny they wait until after they get paid for 5 memberships to tell us we cant use the facilities. Kids are not being disruptive with us 100% of time and we are very attentive parents. Disappointing. We asked to see a written policy about the kids and the trainer said shed get the manager then disappeared. Where is this manager? Still waiting! We specifically asked desk staff and they said the kids were fine. No consistency. Fyi manager said there is no written rule. Dont try doing anything as a family here.

Good gym, Ive been a member for a couple of years now. The problem that I have is that there is very little maintenance to the gym. Soap dishes in the showers are rusted or broken and theyve been that way for months, machines are broken for too long, and a lot of the staff are kids. Keep the gym clean and up-to-date and it will be 5 stars.

Ive been going here for 5 years. The instructors and staff are very nice and the people are friendly. I dont know what I would be doing without this place. The lazy river really helps my stiff mussels. The yoga class is good also.

I have been a member of several clubs over the year and find the RAC the best for the price. You have everything that you would get in a bigger Center. The people that work there are awesome and always ready to help in any way possible. I coach a Special Olympics Poly Hockey (floor hockey) team there and we all just love going and a number of my players have even joined. This facility even allows us that possibility of having a tournament there due to great gym.

Great place for the price, and for the price, dollar for dollar, better than Life Time. I can spends hours here, lifting weights then running on the track, and then back to the weights. Top off the workout by swimming some laps. Great place!

Ive been a member since 2008 and have found the RAC to be a respectable place for someone as serious as fitness as myself. Ive had few complaints until the recent improvements the lone squat rack is now with the dumbbells in one extremely condensed corner and the equipment on the main floor has been moved so close together that it is impossible for people to use adjacent equipment at the same time, all to create a completely unused open space. The management is unreceptive to complaints from lifters, Id strongly recommend looking elsewhere if youre remotely fit.

Literally the WORST and most UNORGANIZED establishment I have ever been to. Planned a birthday party for my three year old and in the attempt to put a deposit down I was told I had to come in when the planner was in, and SHOCKER she doesn’t work weekends and you can’t put a deposit down over the phone. Girl behind the counters response was flat out “there is nothing we can do for you” and called the next person forward.... we will be looking elsewhere for party and I suggest you do as well!

The employees are consistently knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. The locker rooms and family change rooms are surprisingly clean! The annual rates are reasonable, and I appreciate their near resident discounted rates. They offer so many machines, courts, classes, even rock climbing! Members can bring guests for $5 and nonmembers can check it out for $12!I only wish the pool classes schedule would rotate more often? Only cuz my most available day for my family to swim together is interrupted by a 2 hour block of classes, but its not a terrible issue.I highly recommend this place!

Service is awful. Went swimming with my girlfriend & the lifeguard told us that we could not be close that we could only be next to eachother ! She said that she would get in trouble for us being close. Mind you there was a straight couple right before us all over eachother with no problem ! Ive come here so much and put so much money into this place and Ive never had a problem. Especially not one like this. I definitely wont be returning !

Worst customer service ever. I put a deposit on my sons birthday party and Terah doesnt answer her phone when shes in the office. I call the front desk to see if they could get her on the phone and they just hang up. I hope it doesnt end up being a total disappointment.

We absolutely love the RAC. It is generally clean and maintained and has a great staff. My children like the swim instructors.

I would not recommend for birthday parties. I was told I would have a few tables for the adults that did not swim by the pool side until the party room was available, we had one table with 2 chairs. Then we were late getting into the party room by 15 almost 20 minutes because of the party before us, and staff was in there rushing our party out within 15 minutes of us being in the room. We explained we just got access to the room and the response was I can give you only 5 more minutes. Sadly it takes more than 20 - 30 minutes for pizza and cake. Don’t even think about opening presents.The swimming idea is a blast, and the guests did have fun with that, just not being rushed or having access to a room or area for that matter. I believe the facility needs to revisit how close parties are booked as it was completely unfair of my party to be shortened because a party ran over.

It starts at the front desk when they yell at you UMMM Excuse MEE???Too much $ for no BAD SERVICE & RUDE PEOPLE.NOT TO MENTION LATE LATE LATE..THEY CUT OUR PARTY SHORT BY AN HOUR WITHOUT COMPENSATION OR ACCOMMODATION NONE. If it didnt cost so much it wouldve been nice because the kids had fun swimming but dont waste your money on a rushed in & out birthday party.

Horrible , everything was great until the pool , their chlorine levels are dangerous and it caused me and my friends to get chemical burns (temporary) , im suing for money .

Fun but not the best staff

The RAC has to be one of the best facilities in the area for the money. The customer experience here is amazing due to superb management, specifically Dontay C. who worked with me and encouraged me every time I stepped through the doors. The place is cleaner than EMUs Rec Center and is well kept like the Washtenaw Fitness Center, but is WAY cheaper. They have a large assortment of machines and free weights, courts for sports, a lane pool, lazy river, and a water park. For just under $40 a month, and $5 to bring a friend, you really cant beat this place. At WCC, its $20 a day! If youre trying to lose weight like I am, then this is the place for you.

I love the RAC. The only thing missing is a sauna, steam room, a tennis court and racquetball cuurt. if those thngs were added it would be top notch
