Ive worked here for over 7 years and have had a wonderful experience. Coming from a larger organization, it was refreshing to come to an organization where you felt heard, valued and respected. Even when colleagues dont agree, there is an amicable resolution. The values are very important and stressed in numerous ways. Each service strives to offer the best service every day. Can some days be difficult, yes. Are decisions made that everyone agrees with, no. Do we focus on the best interest of client - absolutely. Working in the Mental Health can be challenging but is unbelievably rewarding. Want a workplace that promotes ethics and integrity, who has their clients best interest at heart, who is realistic about what can and cannot be done, who is innovative and offers a fun atmosphere where you can grow and learn?....then come to Intercept.

I have no idea how to get ahold of someone to help me make an appointment so that I can actually get refills on my medication. Not impressed by the office staff, it’s nearly impossible to talk to someone. I love my psychiatrist, but I don’t know how to contact her…. This has been a recurring situation my entire time as a client of Intercept. Even with phone calls, I’ve left voicemails before and never heard back. The machine also says not to leave multiple messages otherwise you won’t get a callback or something like that. Disappointed, and now I don’t have my meds. Thanks a lot Intercept…

I do not recommend this place at all. The first couple times I went they were no problems at all. The last three months I have not been able to reach a live person in order to make an appointment. I have left numerous messages and they have never called me back. Its a problem because my medication is something that I need in order to live my best life. I’ve been trying to get a refill now but I can’t get it refilled unless I have an appointment which I cannot get an appointment if nobody calls me back. I do not recommend this place to anybody please do not waste your time.

I am watching a clinician befriend and mislead my adult disabled child instead of guidance and skill building, she has tuned my child against our whole family.

I struggle with this agency being one of the leading agencies provide services to someone with mental health needs. I have attempted to contact this service provider from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and never made contact with a live person but instead continued to receive prompts from the machine directing me to leave a message. I do not believe that this is a good practice for an agency that is supposed to be a leader in providing social services in the Roanoke Virginia area. This is a true example of providing poor customer service to someone seeking help for mental health services.

Doctors wonderful for my child. Have an extremely hard time ever getting anyone on the phone or a call back. Once I waited a week and a half to receive a call back on when my kids next appointment was. Crazy. Luckily I called 2 weeks prior. 😯😮😯. Dont want to switch over not answering the phone because the doctor is so good. But the phone issue needs to be worked on. Seems this is a problem for all the patients trying to call.

Our children are patients here. The staff can not keep appointment times straight, can not keep scheduled appointments and put clients who can not make it to there appointments ahead of the ones who can. When they do rarely keep scheduled appointments they spend more time on other issues instead of the ones the clients are there for. What can be diagnosed in a 15 minute appointment where they take no time to learn what the issues are? For a professional facility they do a poor job of showing it. Lets not get me started on there prescription refill policy. Schedule appointments every 90 days and only give 30 day refills. Once they run out if you dont have a fax your screwed and still have to call multiple times after the fax is sent in. Poor management, poor patient care and a complete lack of concern for the mental and physical health of health. Wouldnt recommend this place if it was the last psychiatric facility in Roanoke. Unfortunately I cant give zero stars.

For a medical office the front staff is not that nice. It was my childs first appointment and her pediatricians office scheduled the appointment at which time they told me it was at 3:30 PM. I went in the wrong door therefore, had to move my car to get to the back of the building only for the lady in that office to tell me we were late and she wouldnt be seen. To help with the process I had completed my daughters new patient paperwork and faxed it over a week ago. Then I was told the late policy was 5 minutes which is hard to believe for a medical office. Also a reminder call or new patient letter would have been helpful in this situation for many reasons. It would have had the correct appointment time listed or left in a voicemail. Being properly notified of my daughters scheduled appointment would have kept us from being late. A letter would also have explained the late policy. I do not understand how a clinic built to aide people is allowed to have a 5 minute late policy.

Was required to have an assessment done per driving infraction was not impressed, overall very cold and impersonal feeling and I did NOT agree with my assesment at all.... If you could I would look elsewhere for care!
