My husband was having trouble with his computer and we believed some one had hacked it. They went through and removed malware and things have been running great. Their prices were reasonable.
Friendly service from knowledgeable staff. Keith kept me updated on the status of my repair and it was quick and easy well within my budget. Will definitely be back!
Great staff, knowledgeable folks
So the guy that works here, and I am assuming owns the place, is a bit... eccentric. He might come off as rude to some but I am certain he is not meaning to, it is just how he is. He is a nice guy and he really knows his stuff. He got me the exact adapter I needed for my GPU, and on Labor Day of all days. Also as a little bonus you can really tell this guy is passionate about computers, the store is like a little museum. I had a good time looking around at all the cool stuff.
We have used them over the past 15+ years when ever we have a hardware problem we cant fix. They are reliable and they can always do the job. Not sure what everyone is grousing about. I dont want the cheapest guy, I want the guy I can count on to fix my problem and get me out of a jam.!
Whys he still in business? Because he knows what hes doing. Daves been working with computers for decades and theres no one better in southern California.Hes a nice guy, too - if youre not a complete jerk to him, youll get along great. If hes talking to you like youre a child, its because he doesnt know you or have any idea what you know about computers. (Everyone _says_ they know what theyre talking about - and maybe you really do - but most people dont. Its not the end of the world, and its not personal.) Answer the questions. He wont ask any that are not important. And hell spend a ton of time figuring thing out for you, if you just let him.
Parts from all eras and a museum. The most amazing and eclectic inventory.
Dont let his (David) succinctness discourage you from seeking help here. He may seem curt and rude over the phone, but in person hes incredibly friendly and spawns a good conversation (ask his about Zipfs law).He was prompt in aiding me solve my problem the way I intended and even offered me an additional solution in case my initial idea didnt work. Ill definitely come back when I need help because he clearly knows what hes talking about... not to mention the 30+ years of experience he has with computers.
Good repair shop location moved to Iowa ave next to MAKERS INTO SUITE M
Everyone complaining here is crazy. These guys actuallly KNOW what they are doing, they just don’t swap parts, they fix parts. Very recommended.
I didnt even get to step foot in the store due to poor customer service!I needed a simple hardware repair that I could do myself but dont have the tools or parts to get the job done on a notebook. So I called in to ask for an estimate, the guy on the phone was very snarky and rude. He kept arguing with me about what kind of computer I had instead of clarifying he wanted the model number. He questioned very curtly why I wanted that particular service repair and as I was explaining to him he flat out asked me if I was guessing and proceeded to talk to me like I was an idiot while I was practically trying to convince him my laptop had a problem worth his royal majestys time. I even gave the phone an ugly look and I shouldve just hung up in his face but he was the only store open at the time. The guy wanted to charge me over $200 for a job I knew I could get done for under $90.Of course, I took my notebook elsewhere and got it fixed for under $70. I dont know what that mans problem is but he needs some holy water sprinkled on him or something to get those demons out. He is RUDE!
The man dave who workes there....OMG he is the rudest person ever!!!!! how is his business still open with his prices and his attitude?????just plain rude like if you dont like dealing with people why the hell would you open up a business for?????????
Its 11 am and they are close.
