Came and rescued our cat stuck up in tree. Very nice and responsive

We had a sweet feral cat get chased 42 ft up into a tree Friday afternoon and frantically called all over town to find someone who would come and get her down. Jaime was the only person to even call us back. And he came over at 9 pm on a Friday night (after a long day of working) to get her down for us. He was amazing with the cat and obviously very skilled at what he does. Highly recommend.

We contacted numerous tree companies regarding our tree needs. Jamie provided us with a quote as did the other companies. But Jamie was the only one to check back with us to see if we was still interested in getting our trees removed. We found his follow up to be highly professional. He was able to provide us with proper insurance and came out immediately to remove the trees we had contracted for. We ended up adding one additional tree to the list after he started to work.We found that he and his crew were extremely polite and professional. The work was done to our satisfaction and we would highly recommend him to others for tree work that needs to be preformed.

They did a fantastic job taking a tree down at my mothers house. Came out gave an estimate within 24 hours the tree was down very professional and very very reasonable on price. I would highly recommend this company to take any trees you need to take down.Great job

My husband, Larry Lewis referred Jamie to a friend and Jamie was given money on 03/10/18 to remove a tree and he has not done so. he has been paid in full and now refuses to answer or return any calls. Please note I never do reviews, I am disappointed

Jamie and his crew did a superior job removing a tall, dead pine from a very precarious location between my house and my neighbors house, with just feet to spare on either side. They were in and out quickly with a minimum of impact on the yard and surrounding areas, and their price was among the best I was quoted (and I got a LOT of quotes!)Youll be pleased with Jamies work--definitely give him a call!

Took care of the job quickly and effectively at the lowest price I could find. After uncovering some of the wood cuttings, I noticed a part of the stump that had been missed. Jamie came the very next day and removed it. Excellent service.

Last month, Jamie took care of a massive, and dead, double oak in our back yard dangerously close to our home - less than 10 feet from our house, actually. Most of it was hanging over the roof, too. Tried to get numerous estimates, most tree services flat out said they wouldnt touch it, and the few quotes we did get wanted well into the thousands of dollars just to take it down. Messaged Jamie through his website, he gave me a call about 20 minutes later, and came to the house later that day to check it out. Not only was he unfazed by the situation the tree was in, he said hed dealt with much worse and gave us by far the lowest quote by a very wide margin. Setup an appointment for a Saturday afternoon, and he came out to work on it while it was snowing. Unfortunately, equipment problems with his bucket truck prevented him from finishing before it got dark, but he awesomely came out the next day and took it down without issue. No limbs or branches hit our roof, and the tree was taken down with amazing precision. He even chopped it up for us to use as firewood. From now on, Ill be calling Jamie exclusively for any tree issues we have, and have already recommended his service to all friends and family that need tree work done. Great guy and great service!

NEVER EVER EVER call Jamie Swenson Tree Service to do work for you. He had great reviews on Google, came out, and quoted me a a great price on hauling away one fallen tree, and cutting down three others. He was four hours late, but kept texting me that he was 30 minutes away (should have been the first sign). He finally showed up, and quoted me $1,150 for all the work. I agreed to the price, and paid a $250 deposit. The next day, he sent me a text asking for an additional $150 due to his truck breaking down. I informed him, no more would be paid until work was complete. I never heard from him again after that. I did some research, and found hes been running the same scam all over Richmond. Hes even been on the news at 6, numerous times. The man is nothing but a con artist. Please pass this along to anyone you know!Jamie, I see you’ve responded to another person you scammed recently. If you read this, DO NOT contact me, or attempt to do the work. I have zero faith in your ability to perform the work required. If you show up on my property, the police will be called.

Had a tree come down in my backyard and called Jamie and a few other companies. Jamie gave the best estimate was onsite exactly when he said he was going to be and was able to do the work immediately. Did a fantastic job, would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Jamie and Hail to the Redskins!!!

My husband and I had some overdue tree work that needed to be done, especially in light of the fall storms that were coming through. Jamie gave us a more than fair price to take down two very large trees and grind 4 stumps, including one massive uprooted stump from a previous storm. He was prompt and responsive and went above and beyond the call of duty. He was even kind enough to grind up a small stump in the driveway at no extra charge! Jamie took down 10 trees and had the stumps removed as well. One was dead at the base of the tree and leaning towards my house. He and his crew did a great jobI am so glad I had him remove that dead tree before it fell into the house.I would highly recommend Jamie to anyone.

My cat was stuck in a tree for 3 days, and no one was able to get him down. Absolutely every option had been tried.Contrary to what most people think, you dont actually have a lot of options when your indoor cat escapes and gets stuck in a tree; especially when its 60 feet in the air. Majority of local fire departments simply cannot leave their station for anything less than an emergency. Animal control, pest control, and wildlife control all tell you they cannot help, and the idea of renting a bucket truck / cherry picker for the height my cat was stuck would have run me almost a solid thousand dollars.Its a very distressing situation to have to deal with, because a lot of things can go wrong, especially if the cat falls out of the tree from exhaustion, desperation, or the wind picks up enough.I stumbled upon Jamie Swenson Tree Service via Google. I called, someone answered immediately, and I knew I was talking to someone that works in the field, not a person sitting at a desk reading from a prompt. I told him my situation, and he was at my apartment in 25 minutes. He handled the situation with the type of precision and calm that can only be offered by real, passionate professionals. He got my cat down from the tree in no less than 20 minutes. I was absolutely amazed (and still am, actually).My cat is now napping on the couch, safe and sound.This is the number to call if you have a pet stuck in a tree.

We had a tree get damaged in a recent storm and was in danger of falling onto both our house and our neighbors house. As opposed to others, Jamie came out right away to look at the tree and gave us the best price. This was a very tough job as the tree was a really big tree that was already leaning badly, but he and his crew got it down without incident and ground up the stump for us as well. It was a good thing Jamie came out so quickly - there was another bad storm 4 days later and if the tree wasnt down, it probably would have fallen in the 2nd storm. We would definitely use Jamie if we need another tree taken down.

I have had a very disappointing time with Mr Swenson and his friend. I gave them $1500 upfront and they were supposed to get all the work done by April 7. Nothing got done. Then I saw them on the news as scammers and I fired him, they begged me to keep them on promising to wow me. They showed up late every day spent hours fixing the limited old decrepit machinery they used and finally on the last two days of work showed up at 2:00 did not finish they work , have left a gaping hole in my garage, and damage to my neighbours lawn. So I am now left with a mess because I do not want this swindler anywhere near my property going forward.Do not use Jamie Swenson there are too many other reliable services.

Jamie does some of the best work I have ever seen and makes the process easy to bear. Last year, I had a tree fall on my roof after a horrible storm. When I checked out the damage the next morning, I was freaking out. Their was debris and limbs everywhere. I looked up Jamie and several others. Jamie had a much lower estimate and sais he would be there within the hour. Upon arrival, he said he could have it cleaned up by the end of the day. Sure enough, by 5:30pm, you couldnt even tell what had happened. He even picked up every leaf in the yard. It was amazing. He sent his quote to the insurance company and helped make this process so much easier. He even patched the few parts of the roof to prevent and water damage until I could get a roofer. I highly recommend Jamie for any tree work.

I had a disastrous experience with this young man and his friend who helped him out. Took a deposit and then never showed up, until I turned the heat up. It was one problem and excuse after the next. The job finally got done after a month of threatening letters and phone calls and texts...none of which I had time for. In the end it cost me more with damage to my roof and garage due to limbs falling than it was worth.

Jamie Swenson stole from me. I needed a tree trimmed urgently at a rental property to satisfy my insurance provider, who had driven by and said I was out of compliance since the branch touched the house. I contacted Jamie and he said it could be done the next morning. He agreed to the price I was hoping for if it was paid in cash. I was not in town, and my tenant was not going to be present either, but the job really needed to be done so I sent Jamie the money via Paypal the night before. He did not do it. I kept following up. After a week or 2, he replied to an email saying that it would be done the next morning. He did not show up again. Then he went completely dark. After 3-4 weeks of leaving voicemails and sending texts / emails, I had run out of any ability to keep my insurance company at bay. Consequently I scheduled another company to come trim the tree. I paid them 1.5x the price I established with Jamie (which is what I should have just done from the beginning). I left Jamie a few more unrequited voicemails/emails/texts and then visited Jamies Cutshaw Ave business address to try to recoup my money. It turned out to be a vacant house - and I just wrote it off as a loss.

Called Jamie a couple weeks ago about bringing down some trees on our property including one very nasty dead pine. Jamie gave me a very fair price for bringing down the pine, hauling it away, bringing down two other trees and removing a limb from another tree hanging precariously over our house. He was quite booked with other jobs from a recent storm that blew through and kept getting delayed due to weather but he made me feel like I was important and made every effort to come out as soon as possible. Today the weather broke a bit and he was able to come out. He and his crew got the pine down with artful skill (though it made my hair stand on end watching him climb that thing as it waved back and forth), took down the limb and then dropped the other two trees. Im not going to say it was cheap but the price was very fair and I feel so much better knowing those trees are no longer a threat to my family, my house or my neighbors.
