The only reason why I agree to wait almost 2 years to have this company Project Homes to check out my heating and air-conditioning unit was because I was told that they would be able to help me and my family.I contacted almost 4 companies to come out and check out my unit and all companies agree that it needed to be replace. The subcontractor company J&J Weatherization a shored me that they fix the problem by running out to Lowe’s and picking up a product to seal the line, to me that is just putting a Band-Aid over the problem that is not fixing it! The electrician that works for J&J Weatherization was getting irritated with me when I told him that’s not really fixing the problem.A representative or personnel from Project Homes never came to my property. I do know that I was speaking with a person “Debby Dennis” over the phone and through emails and I constantly had to call and email because I would not get a response, they seem very perturbed with me because of that reason. The friday before J&J Weatherization came to my property I received a call from their secretary letting me know that they were coming and I asked her if they were going to fix the heating air-conditioning unit and she told me that Project Homes was not going to replace the unit. At any time did anyone want to see copies of my estimates from heating and air-conditioning companies to replace the unit. This entire experience has been a complete waste of my time, I myself can change the lightbulb the weatherstripping in the two doors was not enough. I have photographs and images of doors that are still letting in the cold inside my property. They installed two bathroom vents and instead of installing a switch to turn on and turn off the vents they installed a key like device with the keys can easily be lost, I don’t understand that concept whatsoever why not just install a switch.I sent a copy of this signed letter to Project Homes and never received a callback, what a complete waste of my time!

My wife and I are very appreciative of that fact that we have a home and were helped by ProjectHOMES to get into a home for the first time. After living with friends and family for a few years, our first home was more than a blessing. Unfortunately, this review is more about the poor quality and workmanship that goes into the homes they build. We are three years into living in our home and there are things literally falling apart. The entire porch railing is falling apart because it was made from excessively cheap materials and poor craftsmanship. Poorly laid tile is cracking across entire rooms from poor craftsmanship. I understand this is an organization that is trying to help people by working within specific budgets, but it is not helpful to build homes that produce expensive problems in the homes first few years. Low income home owners have a hard enough time paying for their home when it is within good working order.

I simply cannot express enough gratitude for the work of Linnea and other volunteers at Project Homes. Thanks to Linnea, we were able to build a wheelchair ramp for an elderly man who is fighting for his life. This will make it much easier for his also sick wife to get him in and out of the house to the weekly multitude of doctors appointments. There really are no words for how thankful we are... Linnea, you are an angel!
