Does anyone know if Art has reopened shop anywhere else? He took such great care of mine and my sons cars (both old, 1999). Its difficult finding a mechanic we can trust. If anyone has information, please share. Thank you.

Unfortunately they closed up shop in Oct. 2020. Great group of folks who did an awesome job. I hope they open up somewhere soon.

Great mechanic that I can trust. Weve taken our cars here since about 2013. Can be a little challenging because theres no regular receptionist or reception area, but Ill gladly do without those things for knowing I wont be jerked around. Art (owner and head mechanic) will even save you money if he can, which is the opposite of many shops.

I didnt feel taken advantage of. Art is honest and is not trying to break you. He has loads of customers so he doesnt need to give false repairs to make Money. Someone posted that they spent 4K and their car was still broken? Hard to believe! Well, in 5 years everyone I recommended to Auto Point have been satisfied. Im going back next week to take my Sons car for repair. Awesome place!

Art and his team never seem to take advantage of you and upsell or charge more than is absolutely necessary. In fact, he goes out of his way to find the best cards at the cheapest cost. Just recently, the car I was taking in to pick up the repaired car had a small issue and art on his own put it on the blocks and took about 15 minutes to secure the plastic Underside at no cost whatsoever. I would highly recommend this garage if you want quality work and an absolutely fair price.

I can not recommend this business. I paid nearly $4k in repairs to Art Point and I am paying another mechanic to redo everything he has done because it as done wrong; the timing belt and among other repairs. I regret ever going here in the first place.

I brought my BMW to Auto Point because of the good reviews and I wanted to support small independent shops in Richnmond. The job was to replace the head cover gasket and spark plugs What a dissapointment. I have a feeling that this is an overall good shop but theres a rotten apple employee. There were loose items and bolts and screws that were totally loose, which cause oil to leak through the same gasket that was replaced.Oil got all over the spark plugs. I had to replace the spark plugs and properly torque the head cover bolts at the dealer. The owner is willing to make it right, but Im disgusted with the work. What made me really angry is to see vacuum holes and wires just left laying on the engine, insead of running them through the clips, where theyre suppose to be. This is indicative of sloppy work.
