I am still wait for my fridge to be fixed.After 18 days of waiting, the technician either did not show up or did not give any notification.I have made a lot of phone calls to get an emergency repair. And I was told that the system is down.After another 4 days I was promised that a new technician will show up in 48 hours. And no one showed up.I called again, of course the system is DOWN again.Currently I am waiting for the system to be back online to get a possible another empty promise.BTW I paid on June 1st, 2021.Today is June 25th,2021.I would never use Sears appliance repair.I do NOT recommend Seats appliance repair to anyone.

My repair man arrive on time when he said he would. He knew almost instantly what the issue was and proceeded to remove a large Ice dam in the top of my LG refrigerator. Within 2-hours of his leaving I heard the characteristic plunk of ice cubes falling in to the collection container in the freezer.

Sunny was very professional and friendly. He called to ask if he could come early. What a nice surprise! He was very efficient, clean, and informative. What a delight! I begin to share my frustration in being able to contact someone regarding the status of my repair. The only complaint I have is lack of communication and the wait time for repair was horrible. The actual repair itself was satisfactory. The personnel of Sears Appliance were knowledgeable and professional.

I don’t usually give businesses poor reviews but my experience with Sears has been nothing but poor. I hope I can save others from experiencing similar treatment. I had a technician come out to assess issues with my washing machine. This only involved him looking through the glass of our front loader with a light on his cell phone. Shockingly he completely missed the real issue with our washer and blamed it on “unclean water”. I showed him in the sink (right next to the washer) that our water is crystal clear. When my husband got home he ran the washer, stopped it mid-cycle, and the water was crystal clear. We called Sears and talked to 3 different people who said that they would refund our money. Needless to say, we never received a refund. We called today to be told they won’t refund diagnostic fees. If I could give you any recommendations, go with another company. Preferable one that stands behind their work.

This has been one of the worse experiences Ive ever had with a company. Ive had 7 technician visits without the problem being fixed. Ive begged for help to no avail. Ive spent the summer without a properly working fridge and no ice since the freezer doesnt freeze and hasnt since March. Once a tech leaves and I discover the problem isnt fix, I call the next day and they reschedule a visit 3-4 weeks later. The last time I called I was on hold for 2 hours and 7 minutes to finally be told I didnt qualify under the lemon law and the scheduled another visit for September 21st (I called on August 20th). I could go on but Ill sum it up by saying I completely understand why Sears filed for bankruptcy. BTW - the fridge is less than 4 years old and under warranty.

I have a Master Agreement service coverage with Sears on 5 units (oven, microwave, dishwasher, disposal and fridge) so get maintenance done on all every year. I call, setup the appointment and they come out (no charge for service calls with this agreement). The only issue is getting it all done at one time so this year, had 3 different techs on 2 different days. I have had actual service on some of the appliances and the techs were great!

When you make your service call, the customer rep is usually helpful. They have change the procedure a bit. You dont have to try and diagnose your problem before having a tech come out. The techs are always professional and friendly.

The appointment was scheduled for a 1-5 PM window. Around 1 PM I received a text that the appointment had been canceled. No explanation. After chatting online with a Sears rep, I was referred to a website that indicated the appointment time was 8 AM-5 PM window. Since I was not home in the morning, the fear was that I had missed the technician. Around 2 PM the tech called to say he was 15 minutes away. Lots of confusion and anxiety!The actual appointment itself was fine. The tech was knowledgeable and friendly. The problem, a fuse, was solved and the dishwasher seems to be functioning well. We generally use Sears repair service and have been pleased in the past. Overall, this appointment was good.

Three visits, 2 different boxes of broken parts, and the microwave left on our counter because the service man couldnt take it away because we were going to buy a new one, all this taking 7 weeks.... I am fairly certain unhappy is a very mild word to describe our experience. They did give us a $50 Sears Reward that was supposed to be effective immediately but wasnt so when we bought our new microwave we couldnt use it.The 3 gentlemen sent to service were polite and respectful. They seemed to know what they were doing. I had to lend a ladder to one because they didnt carry one on their truck.At the same time we had an issue with our washing machine. They came out diagnosed it ordered the parts and returned and replaced it. It was the bleach dispenser which I rarely use. When to use it last night and it still doesnt work. This repair we paid for. The other was warranty work. Disgusted.

Edit: I was going to do a longer update, but after being on the phone with them I have no energy left. Bottom line, fridge is still broken after 3 visits from the technicians. Third visit was yesterday. Technician from 2nd visit should have ordered a part that was absolutely needed to fix the fridge. Now waiting for that part to ship (supposedly scheduled to ship on 1/13) and you already know when the part comes in its going to be another 3 weeks before they can come to my house. I know a lot of people are using Sears appliance repair because they have no other options through their warranty, but if you have options, PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THERE IS NO ONE I DISLIKE ENOUGH TO WANT TO RECOMMEND SEARS TO THEM. And the person from Sears who is going to read this, please spare me the standard reply of how you hate to hear that my experience was less than stellar and to email you to see if you can help, because for one, they dont respond to my emails anymore, and secondly, failure, incompetence, and a lack of concern is just how your organization operates.Horrible. Sears Home Services was called through my home warranty company to come to my house to service my refrigerator. After waiting over 3 weeks for them to come out (it seems like everything has a 3 week lead time with them), their technician arrives at my home and says she couldnt do anything because they had the service call listed as a collect call instead of through the home warranty company, so she cancelled the service and said I would have to call my home warranty service again to have it set up as a service call through them. I dont know how they could have set it up as a collect call when the warranty company had to have contacted them because they were the ones who gave me a date and time for Sears (which by the way always seems to be a window of 8am-5pm). So of course, I call my warranty company back who called Sears on 3-way to set up another service call, and yes, you guessed it, another 3 week lead time. Mind blowing customer service!! Another thing to be aware of is that of the 2 other times they have had to come to my house, they never have the part they need to fix your appliance on the truck, so you have to wait a few more weeks for the part to actually come in. When you experience something like this and read other reviews, its no surprise that Sears is always in the news regarding bankruptcy and store closings.

I was quoted $99 for a diagnostic fee. I thought my riding mower engine needed to be replaced but for $99, I figured it would be good to confirm that. The repairman charged me$120. When I told him that I was quoted $99, he said the phone rep. was mistaken. I paid but after he left, I called 18004 my home and was again told that the diagnostic fee was $99 and to call back in 24 hours once the repair persons ticket was received. When I called back, the lady then said that the $99 was just a trip charge nd diagnostics were extra. Not okay that their own agents are giving customers incorrect information and then the company is charging more.

The service WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!! After waiting two months from May to July while boxes of parts piled up in my living room, two technicians came to rebuild the transmission. When they left I was told to only wash small or medium loads in a Heavy Duty Super Capacity Direct Drive Washer!!! Why? Well I found out when washing a small load and during the spin cycle the tub didn’t even spin; so I either have to keep repeating the “spin” cycle or wring the clothes out BY HAND! Well guess what, two days later another partcalled the “basket drive” showed up! So I called and called until finally another technician came, and instead of checking to see if that part needed to be installed, he called the previous technician who worked on the machine and then said the machine was fixed and left “with the part”! Never mind what I was telling him about the spin cycle not working properly and water still in clothes! Although I wasoffered two $50 checks ( promise and inconvenience) I’ve only received one of them. I refused to take a card because I have no intentions of trying to buy anything from Sears! My last repair person was more experienced and concern with1.) the proper repair o my dryer. 2.) me being satisfied with the service provided than the first guy who came out. He left left my home knowing the dryer was not repaired and actually left the dryer worse tan when he arrived.It is very important to provide the best possible customer service as possible if not your inconveniencing the customer & wasting there time and then your also discrediting the companies name when providing poor service.

The tech that came out to do the repairs to my washer and dryer was the best. He was friendly and funny and a great sense of humor. It did not take him long to find out what the problem was and quickly fixed it and told me what to do with the filter.the washer on the other hand was a bit more difficult yet he told us what to do.Thank you Sears for sending Robert to do the job! I called Sears to repair a Kenmore refrigerator that was producing off-tasting ice. The first technician had no idea what could be wrong. The second senior tech had to refer to his laptop to research possible causes with no result. After 2 useless visits and $99 later, the ice still smells and they can offer no solution. When time comes to replace any of my appliances, I wont be going to Sears.

Hands down the WORST service provider Ive ever worked with! Our ice maker stopped working starting in the beginning of December. Our fridge was just shy of a year old and still under the manufacturers warranty. The technician came out to repair and accidentally damaged the coil. He was extremely professional to admit he did it and was very apologetic that it happened. I completely understand things happen no big deal but this is where things got from bad to worse. They sent another technician out to replace the coil and the fridge still didnt work. Then the technician came out and replaced the compressor and still we have a fridge that is not working. Today we found out that the service companys management is not willing to replace the unit (that they broke) because we didnt have an extended protection plan on the product even though it was under warranty at the time the ice maker stopped working. Instead, they have decided to send us through their insurance company to file a claim. Who knows how long this process will take and how much longer we will be without a fridge! Never in my life have I had a service company be so terrible with customer service. AVOID at all costs because although mistakes can happen they DO NOT have the common decency to make it right!

We have had service people out 4 times and no one will fix the issue, sears doesnt care. we bough the extended warranty and were told we would be taken care of. VERY Dissatisfied, NOT a cleaning and servicing, merely a light dusting. In the past Sears provided a complete,out of window servicing which allowed many years of use. This was hardly worth the effort, however the service person was very polite and personable and provided the service he was instructed to.

I thought that the $59 diagnostic fee would be waived when the technician fixed the dishwasher and charged me for that (like most companies do). It was 187. $8 for a part, $120 for labor, and the $60 diagnostic. Took him less than an hour...

Technician was great: friendly, fast, seemed competent and experienced. However, after repair, the front panel stopped functioning (came back after unplugging fridge.) Also, the crisper drawer is freezing food in the refrigerator compartment, and the freezer is no longer working at all.

Tracking system is awful. Constant updates as to time window. Never showed the first day. Was promised priority on new date but didnt happen. Finally showed near end of day. They robo call you so no way to communicate. Got there 40 minutes after on the way. Took 5 min to fix and .24 hours was the time recorded which is fair. But labor charge was $300 as they use a standard charge - so $1,250 per hour - plus parts. In short - horrible

The initial assessment of the repair required only took about ten minutes; however, ordering the parts and getting the connection to acquire the credit card verification number took an additional 50 minutes. I thought that was truly ridiculous. Although the parts arrived within 3 days I was told I couldnt get a follow up appointment to install the parts for an additional two weeks. After contacting customer care every day I was finally able to secure an appointment within nine days.The service person was fine and seems to have done a good job.Every time I spoke to a Sears person on the phone (the first time the repairman came to assess the issue, each time I called to reschedule the repair) I was subjected to an upsell pitch for home warranty insurance. I told the agent the first time that I had no interest in the insurance and that I already have insurance to cover my appliances and other aspects of home infrastructure. Id really rather not be pitched every time I have an interaction with the company.

We have been working for 6 months to get an ice maker fixed and have had 8 visits all by different repairmen. The problem is still in limbo, we have no ice maker and are waiting for the 9th visit in 2 weeks.We can never get a return visit closer than 2-3 weeks. We never can speak to the repair service—only the 1-800 number call center in Mexico. We then have to wait for a part and then another visit. SEARS promises that we are supposed to get a new ice maker after about half of our visits but we are still waiting on another visit. This is the worst set up I’ve ever seen. No wonder SEARS has gone bankrupt. NEVER WOULD I RECOMMEND A SEARS WARRANTY!

The technicians did a good job when they finally showed up. I have never been so disappointed in Sears in my life. I had 4 scheduled appointments because they told me the first time there wasnt a technician available (this was after they scheduled my appointment two weeks after I called. Then had to schedule another. Technician came and had to order parts and set up another appointment two weeks later. We were home all day and technician reported no one was home. Had to schedule another appointment and was suppose to be here between 1-5 didnt show up until 6:00. I have never had the kind of problem before with Sears. Was very upset with the whole thing!

It took between May 4, 2017 to May 27, 2017 to finally get our washing machine fixed. In the meantime we spent more than $40 each week in quarters to use a laundromat in order do the wash. The wrong part was ordered at least twice, or at least the wrong part showed up on the premise. Appointments were missed and rescheduled without letting us know. Your repairmen were all pleasant and friendly but there was very poor communication between the workmen and the company.

This was the appointment 8 or 10 for issue with washer. I tried to explain to one of the three men who came that sometimes when I push to button to start the washer it comes on and sometimes it doesnt. He pushed the button twice, the washer started and he said there is nothing wrong with the washer. He seemed to be pompous , arrogant and showing off for the other two men. If I didnt have the Sears Home App.iance contract, I would call some one else. I pay $500 a year for this contract and should get better service. So how would I rate this appointment...-10!!! Our technican came to do the repairs to our washer and then left midway saying he had to find another missing part, and promised to be back in 20 min. Instead, he never came back and never even called to give us an update. The parts were left sprawled over our dining room. I had to track down his supervisor to find out what happened. No one bothered to check up on us. When I was shuffled from person to person, no one seemed to know. The repair was delayed another 1.5 weeks and I had horrendous customer service with no compensation or flexibility on scheduling.

I live in richmond and my overall experience with sears home service has been terrible. My original appointment for dryer repair was great, they came out the same day we scheduled an appointment. The problem they supposedly fixed, however, reoccured the next day. They then would not provide a follow up appointment for another 3 weeks. When that day came the technician didnt show up. I called them and they again put me at the end of the waitlist another 3 weeks out and again the technician didnt show up. At this point I requested a refund. After much difficulty on the phone they said would refund me but someone else would contact me. After further delay they said they could only refund me half the amount and only in the form of a gift card for their company. I highly recommend using another company. Once they have your money they have no interest in helping you.

Our repair man was nice however our problem is not fixed and considering how long it takes to get an appointment (our 1st tech canceled & they couldnt reschedule for another 2 wks) he should have made sure of this before leaving our house. We have used our dishwasher 3 times since the repair and the dishes are not dry once cycle is complete. Very disappointed in Sears and their products! Both our fridge and the dishwasher have had multiple problems. Thank god for warrantees because their products need them.

The worst experience ever!!! I have been without an oven and cook too for 6 months now. I have had a total of 6 appts with sears repair, of which only 2 times did a technician even show up. On 4 OF THE APPTS. NOBODY CAME OR EVEN CALLED. I TOOK OFF WORK FOR EACH OF THESE APPTS. THIS IA RIDICULOUS. Made me wish Id never purchased from Sears. I.dont know if they are short staffed or what but 4 TIMES NOBODY CANE OR CALLED ALL DAY LONG. Finally Monday a technician came and fixed the oven and has ordered the 2ND part for the cook top. There is a rediculously LONG wait to get an appointment for a repair. We called on Sept 2 for repair. First available appointment was Sept 22. Then the part was ordered and it came in 2 days but the installation of the part could not be scheduled until Oct 10! Supposedly, you can go online to get an earlier appointment, but there is no place online to do this. And when you call, they say they cannot help, you must go online.

While the technician did an excellent job cleaning the dryer, we were told when we made the appointment he would clean everything to the wall... this includes the venting hose. So imagine our disappointment when he told us that wasnt part of the service. We still had the problem even after the technician left. And had to call someone else to fix it.

The only reason Im giving them one star is because I felt bad for the guy who came the second time to finally fix my dishwasher. The first time the man was there for over an hour and realized he needed new parts, which was fine. The second guy didnt come for another two weeks (different guy from the first time) and walked in and asked what was wrong with my dishwasher......apparently he was not briefed whatsoever on why he was coming to my apartment even though I had received all of the parts to fix my dishwasher throughout the two weeks and fully expected the follow up technician to be able to come and fix what was broken. This guy was very nice but had no idea what he was doing. He was there for hours and went from watching YouTube videos to try to guide him to asking another technician to come over and help and then both of them were face timing with some other technician trying to get his help! He was apologetic but he also called me at 8am to tell me he would be there a little after nine and did not show up until 1045. I missed almost an entire day of work because he was completely not prepared for his appointment. Again, he was nice and my dishwasher eventually was fixed but this could have been easily avoided if he was briefed on what he was coming into or even if they would have sent the same guy from the first time.

The second tech who showed up correctly diagnosed the problem and did so quickly. While the problem wasnt with the appliance, he found the source and was able to communicate the issue to me in a way that let me explain it to the plumber who eventually corrected an incorrect plumbing installation.

The technician for the Refrig did not mention the multi-appliance discount. However, Bryan, the Mircowave tech, did mention the multiple appliance discount. Both technicians provide good personal skills and service.However, I felt robbed when the Refrig tech made an adjustment and zip tided it to keep it from happening again. Then the Mircowave tech saw a piece had broken and adjusted a piece of metal in the door to fix the latch. All for a whopping $400 + . They were there for a total of 40-50 minutes combined. Quite frankly, I will not used the Sears services again because of pricing.
