This a great gym with a good instructor. Reasonably spaced , clean and very friendly staff.
After moving to VA from TX a little over a year ago, I made a decision to really work on taking better care of myself and getting physically fit. Two of my co-workers were going to this gym, and both highly recommended it. The gym did an open boot camp session and I went and got to meet some of the people that already go to the gym, and to see the trainers in action. I was highly impressed and new I wanted to sign up for a series of personal training sessions.I have been going now for almost 2 months and my trainer is Sarah. I have not missed a session, and from my past history with personal trainers, this is a true indication of how much I enjoy working out here. Each session Sarah challenges me to do more and my strength, stamina, core and balance areas are all strengthening.Being handicapped, I was worried about keeping up, or not being able to do certain exercises. Sarah customizes training for me, is very patient and continues to encourage me to do more than I think I can.I recommend this gym if you are looking to work with people that are committed to helping you become the best physical self you can be. Joel, Maya and Sarah make you feel like family, and continually encourage you. Additionally the people that come to the gym are always in a good mood and enjoy their time there. It is a positive and encouraging atmosphere that produces results.
This place is just simply amazing, the trainer is so knowledgeable and kind. This is not just a gym for me but more like a family :) who trains together. If anyone wants home like feeling and wants to get fit, this is the place to be!
I think it’s very cool to get 90 minutes of benefit in 20 minutes!!! I would never work out any other way.
Update June 2018 -- I am still enjoying and benefitting from Fusion 360! Everything I wrote a year ago still stands! I love this place and how I am stronger and healthier because of this place.Fusion 360 is a phenomenal place. First, it is NOT a gym: there are no upfront or monthly fees. It is, instead, more like a training studio in its intimacy and in the individual attention one receives. One pays only for personal training sessions and/or classes.Second, the quality of training is superb. The attention paid to each client is tailored to her or his very specific needs and challenges. Each session is slightly different than previous sessions, presenting new challenges (different exercises, carefully increasing weights and/or reps) thus always making it interesting. The trainers are always diligently watching you, correcting form, motivating you, and often making you laugh.Third, the environment there is completely welcoming, friendly, and inclusive. Maya (the owner), Joel (the lead trainer), and Sarah (my trainer), take great care to know every client and her or his specific needs. Additionally, the clients reflect this same warmth. Importantly, this is a place for anyone regardless of his or her physical fitness level. I have seen a married couple in their early 70s training with Joel (and very much enjoying it!), as well as several different women in their 20s-30s doing one-on-one boxing session with Joel (and they each are amazing to watch!).For four months now, I have participated in one-on-one personal training sessions, and I have seen a steady increase in my strength, and as a result, an improvement in my balance (one of my challenges). I look forward to every session with Sarah.
UPDATE--Its been a year and a half since I started training with Joel at Fusion 360 and I cant say enough good things about it. I love my training. It keeps me sane and fit. And Maya is amazing. She makes me feel like family. Seeing her and Joel is a highlight of my week.--Ive been doing personal training at Fusion 360 with Joel for the past several months and it has been amazing. One of the things I enjoy the most about this gym is that its not really a gym and I dont have to pay some ridiculous fee just to have access to a bunch of stuff Ill never use outside of training.Anyway, Ive been seeing Joel for several months now and I cant say enough wonderful things about Fusion 360. I really feel a difference. My clothes are looser and overall I just feel better.Let me say this too - I am not a gym rat. I am not super fit. I say this to make the point that this place is great for anyone. I know a lot of their clientele is looking to stay in shape, but there are a number of us who are looking to get in to shape.Lastly, Maya, the owner, is great. She makes me feel genuinely valued as a client. And Joel is amazing. He is patient and understanding and seems to know just how hard to push me.
BEST AND MOST EFFECTIVE WORKOUTS!!Fusion360 has surpassed my expectations of a small gym. When first entering the studio one cant imagine what an intense workout lies ahead of them. Each class and training session is COMPLETELY different from the previous one so I constantly feel challenged and I NEVER GET BORED!In the past I have always kept a few gym memberships for variety, now I am able to meet all my health goals in one place from strength training to cardio classes. Most classes have both components for maximum results. I am able to lift more weight, and I have better agility and speed than even a year ago, best spent 45 minutes to one hour of my day.The personalized approach and attention Joel and Maya give to each client is truly unique as well as the comradery amongst the members, a true support system.Additionally, the studio is VERY clean and organized. It seems to follow with the same principle of discipline as the work outs. They have every piece of equipment you would possibly need for a complete body workout. You will NOT be disappointed!!!
Great trainers. You will see results fast.
My doctor strongly urged me to sign up for personal training sessions at Fusion360 as a part of my treatment for depression and anxiety.I have always hated personal training sessions. I was not looking forward to it at all. When I first met my very fit personal trainer, Sarah, I took one look at her and thought, Shes gonna make me miserable. But 2 months later, Ive lost 20 pounds, I actually look forward to my personal training sessions 3 times a week, and I feel sooooooo much better not only physically, but mentally.Sarah has made a priceless difference in my life! She is a very rare combination of uber-professionalism and FUN. Our sessions go SO SO FAST because:1) Sarah prepares a personal workout session just for me, and they are completely different every single session. I dont think Ive ever done the same exercise twice.2) Sarah is not pushy.... shes encouraging. She makes YOU want to push yourself.3) Sarah is freaking hilarious, and we laugh the entire session.4) Sarah ramps up the intensity of your workouts slowly so that you arent in a lot of pain afterwards and you never get discouraged.5) Sarah can walk on a treadmill and crochet perfectly at the same time. (Just had to throw that in, because I think its amazing.)The rest of the crew (Maya, Joel and Gloria) are awesome, but Sarah is my favorite. :)Im a 52 year old woman who for the first time in her life actually looks forwards to exercise!
What an excellent class, and an excellent experience!
