Apple store was closed but the website directed me to this authorized repair place. I have had another MacBook previously fixed at Apple and let me tell you theres a big difference. The lady I spoke to on the phone was rude and demanding. Nothing at all like the welcoming and unjudgmental atmosphere at the apple store. I explained I just wanted a screen replacement as mine was damaged. Its a simple fix even the apple store was able to point out, not sure why it needed 3 days for diagnostics. anyways the biggest difference is Im ending up paying 650 for a screen replacement in which I know for a fact Apple wouldve charged me 450 (previous experience). This place is overpriced and to top it off whoever I was speaking to was just not having it. Its really upsetting having no choice but to do business with someone who has no respect for their customers. Just adding on to my post, I was in no way rude to the employee so I dont understand why she has to be that way towards me. If it werent for the lack of choices I would have taken my MacBook and gone elsewhere.

First impressions are important. Once I got through the automated phone and spoke to a live person, the conversation went down hill.I called to see if they had in stock or, if still available,a replacement battery for my 2007 MacBook Pro.My first question: “are replacement batteries available and do you have them in stock?”The young lady, said I needed to drop off the computer, they would look at it and get back to me. She was rather rude and snappy with her tone of voice. I explained replacing the battery is easy, I’ve done it before. She responds with an attitude “we don’t do that, you need to make an appointment to drop it off”After, I explained I didn’t want to waste time dropping it off only to find out the battery is no longer available. She begrudgingly inquired if the battery was available. Turns out NO. I’m fine with that.Bottom line, the listening skills and attitude of the person I spoke with needs to be addressed by management.

Found this place on Bing then on google maps. They fixed my old 2012 iMac. I was shocked when I got a quote for a new SSD drive 1T for $169 installed. It didn’t end up needing a new hard drive. To replace this old style drive I think the Apple Store charged me over $300 a few years back. For stuff that is out of warranty this place may be a better choice than the Apple Store. It’s good to have an alternative choice.

The Mac-O-Rama team was truly so helpful, and their customer service went above and beyond. I had an emergency just before Christmas where my dog knocked a whole cup of coffee onto my keyboard, right in the middle of one of my busiest work seasons! I was so stressed out to be without a computer-- my entire business is run from my laptop! But the team was so understanding and worked quickly to replace all the damaged parts and return it to me before they left for their Christmas break, which meant SO much to me. I cant thank them enough for their service and their excellent work. I highly recommend the Mac-O-Rama team!! They are wonderful.

Excellent, excellent experience. I tried using the Genius Bar at The Summit but they couldnt fix my problem. Mac-O-Rama did it for cheaper with same day service. Of course, I asked for the expedited service because my Mac is so important to my family. They were courteous, friendly and professional. Next time I have an issue Ill be skipping the help from Apple and contacting Mac-O-Rama. Thank you.

We are a small non-profit organization and have had multiple consultants for a variety of computer issues. Unfortunately, they made things worse and rather than solve the various problems created more problems. Fortunately, we found Macorama and their fabulous team. After bringing in the computers to their store for problem resolution, most of the problems were fixed; however, they suggested a home visit to resolve the remaining issues. Jason came to our business and problems and issues we experienced literally for months, he solved literally w/in minutes. He is an excellent teacher as are all the staff. Their professional fees are more than reasonable & they truly do have the expertise. We highly recommend them for your Apple products and if you are lucky they can also answer your questions re: any PC you might have.

Needed to get my battery replaced on my MacBook Pro 2010. Apple Store did not carry that model of battery, the computer is too old :). The employee referred me to macorama. Drove over and they were able to replace my battery on the spot. Luckily they had the battery in stock and were not busy so I did not have to leave the computer and come back later/the next day. $124 for the replacement and fast, friendly service. Thank you! Battery comes with 1 year warranty.

I went in-person to the Apple Store on a Thursday afternoon at 3:30 PM to schedule an emergency appointment to have someone look at Macbook Pro because it wouldnt do anything. Unfortunately, the Apple Store had no available appointments until the following Monday. I didnt know what to do because I needed my computer fixed ASAP. In a quandary and because my Mac wasnt working I had to I use one of the Macbooks at the Apple store to find some place in Reno that specializes in Macs. The first option that popped up was Mac-O-Rama on Longley. I scanned the stores info and saw they did rush-requests for $99. I looked at my watch and saw it was 3:45 PM, and Mac-O-Rama closes at 5 PM. Not expecting much, I called and was told, yes, they could look at my Mac that afternoon. I dashed to Mac-O-Rama and got there about 4:15 PM. The nicest lady named Cal greeted me and told me theyd be glad to see what they could do ASAP. Even though the store closed at 5 PM, they worked with me until 5:20 PM and only charged me $55! While they werent able to completely solve the problem, they got me where I could at least use my Mac until I could bring it back for a much more thorough examination. I couldnt have been more pleased with the courteous and personable service. Id rather pay a service fee than have to wait days for a free appointment at the Apple Store. I dont understand the unfavorable reviews. I imagine those individuals were looking for something for nothing.

Overpriced, with poor service.I didn’t enjoy my experience. Each part of the process frustrated me. I took my computer in for a broken USB. The lady at the front desk snapped at me for wanting to fix the problem (broken hardware) instead of working around the problem (USB hub in the remaining, unreliable port). Next, the ran diagnostics, but they never called with the results. I waited three-five days, and I called them. “Oh, we ran that test two days ago,” the lady said. Why didn’t anyone call me? Poor service. The last straw - price. They wanted to charge $600 for a replacement part, plus $100. I found the same part online for $200.I’d urge you to go elsewhere to service your Mac / Apple products. I called two other places, and I’ll likely take my computer to one of those alternatives. Never again, Mac o Rama.

Mac-O-Rama Rocks!! I dropped off my old beloved G4 Power Book Laptop at 9:15am--after driving 1.5-hours down from South Shore of Lake Tahoe--and picked up my completely ubba-dubba repaired laptop at 10:30am. All for only $25, after they worked their IT magic. How cool is that?! The front counter Customer Service reps Ms. Cal ___ and Mr. Peter ___ could not have been more professional, friendly and helpful. This is my fourth visit to their store in Reno and all iterations have been equally outstanding. I just wish theyd open a store in Lake Tahoe.

Do NOT take your apple products here. The apple store would be more worth your time. We took my wifes macbook air to mac-o-rama to see if the power cord was bad or the battery needed to be replaced. They took the computer without telling us any pricing or even getting her information. It took them an hour to tell us that the cord was bad. When we told them that we were going to look around for a new cord and not buy their $70 cord, she then said, Well the test we ran cost $10. We were never asked if we wanted to run the test as it had nothing to do with the power cord. They are all about the money. No sense of customer service. They charged us $10 for something that would have been free at the apple store.

I brought my mac in for a factory recalled hard drive replacement, the owner of Mac-O-Rama which is a factory authorized repair business, told me that as long as there were no software issues the replacement would be covered by Apple and I would not be charged. When I went to pick up my computer they charged me $149.00 for labor and Apple pays them for the labor. In order to get my computer back I paid the $149.00. The owner said she needed to change me that since they used my external hard drive which I had backed up through time machine to put it back on the new hard drive, I told her that if I had known that I would have done it myself, I have done it in the past and it is very easy and quick to start the process.I have contacted Apple and filed a complaint since they are an Apple authorized repair business and would encourage anyone who thinks they have been over charged to do so.Apple also said in the notes submitted by Mac-O-Rama they made no mention of charging me for the replacement.I have also filed a dispute with my credit card company as this is clearly a fraudulent charge and I am sure others have had similar experiences and urge others to do so.Tomorrow I will contact the State Attorney Generals Office to file a complaint and also contact the better of Business Bureau and Chamber of Commerce and urge others who have had similar problems to do the same.

Generally over-priced and rude, but they get the job done when the Apple store can’t(won’t).They were rescuing some data from a ‘vintage’ device, and I left them with the iMac I use as a monitor for my main computer. They called and requested my Apple password, which I begrudgingly gave them as I was told there was no other way. (I was using an older version of the MacOS, where the computer password differed from the iCloud password. I had provided my computer password when dropping off).Although they returned my iMac with data recovered, they enabled several iCloud features that I had disabled on the device including ‘iCloud enabled desktop’.This combined with saving the contents of my old laptop onto the iCloud enabled desktop, made the process of getting the old documents painfully slow. They also denied ever requesting my iCloud password. They did get the job done, but I would give another business an opportunity before I would go back to Mac-O-Rama.The sewing shop next to them is amazing if you ever need something altered/sewn.
