I have never left a Google review but happened upon these and couldn’t help but sit for a few to contradict every and any poor review that is here. Do you expect your insurance agent to literally read your mind and write you the world’s most amazing policy based on this? If so, this place is not for you. If you are, on the other hand, interested in having an independent insurance agent who can keep you covered no matter what occurs in your life...one who will work harder for you than anyone else in your life...then Laccenn Herrmann is the insurance agent for you.I’ve been with Laccenn (referenced in a few of these reviews rudely as ‘the owner’s son’) for many, many years. I happened upon him when my I received a letter from my prior insurance company indicating my ex-husband was “uninsurable.” I panicked and called multiple companies to be told the same each time. They wouldn’t take him. Then I thankfully reached Laccenn. He listened patiently, took down my info and said he would call back. He called me back later that day and had an insurance quote that covered everyone and somehow came in lower than what I had been paying. My ex was required to carry an SR-22 and Laccenn took care of this, too. One day, a year or so later...out of the blue and on a holiday - I believe it was Labor Day...Laccenn called me to inform that the SR-22 was no longer needed, that he had handled everything for me in getting the required paperwork filed with the state and let me know about my new, lower premium. I was shocked. All I could say was “what are you doing at work right now?”Over the many years I’ve been with Laccenn he has covered countless vehicles (and oh yes we’ve had claims and oh yes they paid immediately and satisfactorily) he has covered my house, he has covered my now 23 year old daughter when she was just 15 and no company wants to cover anyone under 16....he has alerted me on his own accord when my homeowner’s insurance nearly doubled in cost...and done the same for my autos when it happened with them. Except for Laccenn, alerting me doesn’t mean stressing me out. It means he writes a new policy with another reputable company and keeps my cost the same and then calls me and tells me he’d like to change the company I’m with and why. Only then do I find out about the increased premiums that he ensures I never have to pay.I’ve had good friends foray into insurance and BEG me to let them look over my policies. My answer is always a resounding no. No way will my loyalty to Laccenn ever falter. He does business like no one else I have seen in this town and no offense rapid City but I’m not from here and while I love this town as my own home, there is piss poor customer service here - likely just from the lack of competition but it irks me to no end. Laccenn and all of the others in this office provide customer service as though you’re the last customer on the planet.I’ve never had a single complaint and honestly, every single review here that is poor has to be either fake or from the most unreasonable people on this planet.If you’re among the world’s most unreasonable...then the no-nonsense atmosphere at Herrmann Insurance is probably not for you. If, on the other hand, you are generally reasonable and would likeTo never stress about any of your insurance ever again - then give these guys a call. Honestly, if someone doesn’t meet your expectations and misses returning a call - assume they’re human too and call again. There’s no way that doingSo would result in anything less than your total satisfaction and happiness.

I was shopping for a new insurance agent because of a bad experience. I was looking for someone I can be completely transparent with and expect the agent, as the expert, to guide me in my best insurance interests. I have found that at Herrmann Insurance. Each time I call, I am given expert help and I trust that my best interests are driving the service and advice.

The owner and son treat employees and customers very poorly!!! Ive seen it first hand. Do NOT get your insurance from these untrustworthy owners! Employees are great! This review has no reflection on them. I will stick with my local agent in Spearfish!

Got referred to them and the prices were great! Got me a quote for auto insurance that was 40 dollars less then what I am paying now. Will recommend!

I truly appreciate the work Laceen and the office staff at Herrmann Insurance (specifically Tanya) did for us on such short notice. I contacted Laceen on a Friday afternoon in desperate need of a new commercial auto and liability policy. I know they worked hard getting all of our information and sending to their underwriters by the end of the business day. By Monday morning we were insured with the coverage we requested at an excellent rate. They made sure to put my anxieties at ease and took care all of my concerns with utmost professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone, anytime!

Called for a quote. Nice receptionist answered. Said Janine could help but their agents usually show up in 30 minutes. Left voicemail for Janine and never got a call back. Guess they dont need my familys auto and home insurance. Usually referral business doesnt get treated like an ugly red headed stepchild.

This the best insurance company Ive had, they are friendly, helpful and make you feel very comfortable. All my questions were answered and explained , and I was given the best coverage for me.

Very poor customer service. Last year I tried to get a quote on auto insurance, the owners son was supposed to get me a quote, but never got back to me. Decided to try again this year for home and auto, the young lady we spoke to was very nice and was going to get back to me on the Mon after we were there on Sat., a week and a couple days later no response. I called and got her voice mail, she did call when I wasnt home and I called and left her my cell #. No response. Don was very helpful a few years ago when we moved here.

I’m moving my insurance asap. If I would have filed a claim on my homeowners, I found out I had the wrong insurance and wouldn’t be covered. Owners son does not return calls. Last time I talked to him he was agitated and rude.

As of March 23, they wont talk with customers. No way to get a quote from them either.In a time of need, will they be there with a claim? Doubtful based upon todays experience.
