They were hired through the insurance broker here for water damage in the home in Raleigh area. They tried to say they finished the job but had we not meticulously checked repair work...they tried to cheat saying they were finished when they were not — just 2 days before escrow closed. A nightmare.

Spangler is quick to respond and Ashli is very professional, to deal with when you have an emergency.

Tried to hire them. After 15 minutes on a call with the Raleigh Office, I was told they needed to transfer me to the on-call agent. After on hold for another 5 minutes, agent came on and said they had to try again. Then after another on-hold, they transferred me to the Greensboro office only to be told I had to call the Raleigh office. Total of 20-25 minutes on hold/being transferred, so decided this company wasnt capable of helping me and decided to go elsewhere for service. This was a waste of time.

We went with Spangler because they were on Amicas Preferred Vendor List. Since this appeared to be a rather small claim (a leaking skylight in a sunroom), we thought it should go without incident. Nothing could be further from the truth. The crew failed to remove all the moldy trim around the window or inside the window bay. This was confirmed by both the Industrial Hygienists test results and photos produced by the successor remediator). Additionally, they failed to place the space under negative air, failed to check if the containment was secure (it was not resulting in cross contamination), and failed initially to close up the open window bay. The crew wore neither masks or tyvek which demonstrated just how seriously they took the job. After the re-remediation, we refused to pay them for their services and received notification of an impending mechanics lien. After we provided irrefutable proof of the particulars (including photos, lab results/reports, etc.) to our insurer, Amica ended up paying 1/2 the cost out of their resources with Spangler eating the balance. We did file a complaint with Amica and recommended that they remove them from their Preferred Vendor List.

I use Spangler Restoration as an insurance agent. We refer our policy holders to Spangler to help assess the damage and explain the restoration process.
