I used Remtech Summer 2020 to remove/abate asbestos-containing popcorn ceilings and floor tile, along with drywall (apparently it is common for drywall mud before 1976 to contain a level of asbestos just over the EPA threshold.) They encountered a much-harder than expected floor removal but didnt charge me extra for it, for which I was extremely grateful. They left some plastic in bedroom closet ceilings that they forgot to remove and came back to remove it fairly quickly after I called to let them know. They noticed a broken square of glass in one of the exterior doors that occurred while they were working at the house and brought it to my attention before I noticed it, and took it upon themselves to have it repaired without me having to call constantly and wait forever wondering if they were actually going to fix it. They made the whole experience easy for me. From what I could see from the outside, they took all appropriate precautions with negative air machines and plastic protection etc. I would recommend them if you have abatement work needed.

Mold remediation performed due to a leaking roof - Remtech quickly and efficiently set up barriers to the rest of the house, removed the affected drywall, dried and ventilated the area, and applied mold treatment to the studs before the painting company came to install new drywall.

I contacted Retech to do a deep clean of the facility I serve as the Maintenance Supervisor based on the increase in Covid-19 cases in the area. Randy and his team visited the site for a walk around to evaluate the site and so they could explain the services offered. On the agreed upon service day, the team showed up early and prepared to work. The cleaning was done quickly and professionally. But more importantly, respectfully to the site and equipment. I would highly recommend anyone needing a deep clean or any environmental services offered by Remtech to give them a call.

I had a meeting scheduled today with a builder who was going into the crawl space anyway and would evaluate the quality of the mold job. Meeting postponed indefinitely, so I cant comment on the quality. Im too old to go into the crawl space myself.

These guys were amazing! During a huge storm (one that took out a major section of 401 down the road), our basement flooded for the first time ever! Within an hour, Remtech was here to help get the water out and start working on the drying process. They spent days making sure everything was taken care of and were in constant contact regarding our options (keep the floor, tear it out, etc.)Wouldnt hesitate to use them again (but hope we dont have to anytime soon!)

In 2016 I contacted Remtech to have a crawlspace dehumidifier installed at my home. I also asked them to seal the crawlspace as well. Fast forward three years later and the crawlspace dehumidifier that they had installed stopped working. I called Bryan King at Remtech and he came by my house to take a look at the dehumidifier. To be fair, Remtech did not manufacture the dehumidifier. The manufacturer was Horizon. Bryan removed the Horizon dehumidifier from my crawlspace and before he left he tried calling Horizon to see if they could fix the issue. Come to find out, Horizon is no longer in business (go figure). Bryan offered to trash the old dehumidifier and I agreed. However, back in 2016 I paid Remtech just under $3000 to have the dehumidifier installed. Thats translates to roughly $1000 a year in the three years that it was operating. I ended up having to drive to Greensboro to pick up a new dehumidifier and its been an aggravation getting the system plugged in with the old nylon tubing. My advice to Remtech is to make sure that your products are reliable and highly rated. I did a simple search online and easily found poor reviews for the Horizon XP90 dehumidifier. Stand behind your services and dont make your customers trash hard earned money on bad products.

Though we have had excellent experiences in the past with Remtech, when we actually needed them the most, they let us down. First of all, they did not return a number of calls for a month straight, then left a voicemail saying we are not taking on any more work at this time. Not sure what scared them away from my job, after they had already started a relationship with me and had seen some of the mold damage. Maybe because I said I wanted to do some of the work myself as a precursor to the work I wanted them to do...? Or, maybe theyre just too busy for a small fry job, in which case they should think about hiring more people.

When it rains, it pours…as the old adage goes. We had a termite inspection last year, no termites, but discovered mold in the crawl space after a wet summer. As a realtor with Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby’s we have an active list of trades and home repair companies. Based on past experiences with our other realtors, Remtech Environmental jumped to the top of the remediation list.They were prompt, professional and detail oriented. They knew having a mold problem was not a condition envied by any homeowner. Their principles and estimators were very sympathetic and walked us through the process of how they safely alleviated a potentially dangerous situation.The Remtech crews were on-time, did exactly as outlined in the proposal and finished ahead of schedule. We were pleased with the result. Five months later, it “poured”. A six month old dishwasher failed, leaking for weeks unseen into our subfloor, cabinets walls and yes, the crawl space again. We were facing a potentially worse problem with this fiasco, but Remtech came through on several fronts. They not only addressed the mold in the kitchen area and crawl space (again) but aligned us with an excellent general contractor. This GC specialized in insurance and damage repairs. The two companies worked hand-in-glove with each other and our insurance adjuster.
