Health solutions has tremendously helped improve my life. I called them at my lowest with nothing, and since then they have helped me get insurance, mental health care, and a pcp. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Everyone goes above and beyond to help me. They pulled me up from the lowest point of my life, no judgement, just loads of support through every step. Each and every person Ive met has been incredible. I also love that my therapist, psychiatrist, doctor, etc, are all well acquainted and constantly updating each other on my treatment plans. Everyones on the same page. It really feels like I have a whole team of people dedicated to just getting me to my best possible self. Im deeply grateful to everyone at Health Solutions. You guys are amazing, and you really are making a huge difference.

From the moment they let me in the crisis room I felt like I was in a prison. Employees in tactical gear and doing a full weapon sweep on me. Next came the intake lady to argue with me on everything and disrespect my family. I just ended up leaving after waiting on the next lady to see me for a drug test. I was left with a reply from one of the workers thats fine. Like, thats fine no one cares just off yourself next time. So when people ask me will I ever go back to the crisis room I say no way Jose.

Do not, under any circumstances, go to their crisis living room. If you truly value your life as well as the life of your offspring, then this is the worst place that you can take them. Our child was in crisis and was hardly seen. We were forced to leave with him still in crisis, and they didn’t even make a crisis plan with him nor did we receive any paperwork. Andrea was the person we saw, and we honestly don’t even know if she was the clinician or not. She used scripted language and failed to adequately communicate with us. She offered no empathy, concern, nor options for our child or for us. When we asked her questions or voiced our concerns, she would become short, curt and rude then told us that our child’s behavior was normal and that we’re to blame. Which it wasn’t normal, as we know that through our child’s actual psychologist and therapist. And we didn’t have a hand in his crisis. She recommended that instead of advocating to get him the help that he deserves, that we can press charges through the police. Health Solutions would rather your child locked up than given the health care that they deserved. When I couldn’t believe the type of treatment (rather lack thereof) our child received, I called into question Andrea’s education. We’ve been to the crisis center before, and the other professionals were kind, caring, understanding, empathetic, provided actual mental health care, answered all of our questions, validated us, and effectively communicated. Understandably, Andrea felt insulted, but it wasn’t my intent to insult but to call into question her education and training, because it was clear to me that she was lacking when compared to the other professionals at Health Solutions. She then admitted that she is still going to college and has some experience. She then told us that we have to get our kid seen at one of the two hospitals she approved because she knows people there. We had every intention of getting him checked out, but she continued talking to us about it and heavily implied that there will be legal repercussions if we take him anywhere else. She even called ahead to tell them that we got “the all clear” (despite never giving us any paperwork) and that they shouldn’t offer another evaluation when we arrive for a child who is still clearly in crisis. She took away our ability to advocate for a second opinion. Our child even told Andrea that he’s still in crisis and doesn’t want to go home yet. When we admitted him to St. Mary Corwin, and told the staff what happened they were appalled as well by the lack of care at Health Solutions Crisis Living Room. The majority of the staff wanted to re-evaluate him but since Andrea knew one of the staff members, that staff member is insisting that he doesn’t get re-evaluated. Why would Health Solutions hire someone so heartless, immature, unprofessional, controlling, as well as untrained? We were also told by Susan at St. Mary Corwin that Andrea said that we refused a safety plan and paperwork. We were never offered it! If I remember correctly, there’s video recording at Health Solutions, so if someone can check the tapes, you’ll see how Andrea never offered a plan or paperwork. Thankfully, Susan from St. Mary Corwin offered to make a safety plan with us, answered all of our questions, communicated effectively, and gave us options. I’ve already spoken to AspenPointe in Colorado Springs over the phone and received stellar service and help. They are more than willing to treat our son and reevaluate him, as well as discuss our options in the event he can’t be admitted for longer care. Save yourself and someone you love, never go to this crisis center. They would rather your child or yourself locked up or dead. If you have the time and gas, either go straight to Parkview in Pueblo or AspenPointe in the Springs like we should’ve done all along. Myself and my husband both see specialists at Health Solutions, and we’re now considering a different clinic due to this experience.
