It was a great place and an awesome product! We had a really good experience. They loaded us while I was paying and I think my lawn came out great. Highly recommended but be warned the lady that runs the place is old so dont take her the wrong way.

I absolutely give this place 5 stars. The lady was super cute, I absolutely adored her shes 90 years old and has every right to be the way she is but she was respectful and joyful to talk to in person, I was intimated on the phone but tbh you have to know how much your going to buy or know themeasurements she was a teacher she told me so makes sense why she asked me to take out my calculator which I am grateful because she gave you a reminder of simple math! The grass was beautiful and green, oh and super thick so worth all my money I recommend this place to everyone!

Good sod good prices.

I have several complaints regarding this business. First, I was told the sod would arrive in the evening so we could begin laying it first thing in the morning. They delivered it mid afternoon under scorching heat while we were still preparing soil, forcing us to extend our work well into the evening, which brings me to my second complaint -The sod was dry as a bone. It had clearly been cut several days prior. Much of the edges were already brown. The inside of several rolls were also slimy from being rolled up and left moist inside while the roots dried up.Third, the depth of cut was incredibly inconsistent. Some of it less than a half an inch, leaving almost no roots remaining. These areas will have to be cut out and replaced, negating any benefit to the money saved per roll.Finally, they are clearly not maintaining their mower blades. The grass blades were ragged and brown, indicating tearing from dull mower blades.In short, every aspect of their product indicates an apathetic approach to their business. Go elsewhere and spend a little more. It will cost you less in the long run.

These guys do it right. Personable, local quality, and efficient. Well priced, and they hire young kids to work and earn some dough!

I wanted to improve my front yard of my new home, , so I decided to put grass. But instead of seed, I went with sod. I usually give my business to the BIG BOX stores, but decided to buy local. I came across A LAWN RANGER ad in the paper and chose them. I called and THE LADY answered, she was very interesting, but assisted me with figuring out what I should need. The next morning I showed up and purchased two pellets. At the farm, I meet the lady from the phone, she was not what I expected. I found her VERY HELPFUL AND HONEST. She was VERY PERSONABLE AND A JOY. I cant understand why SO MANY people dont just relax and embrace this lady and ALL her individualism. OH, , by the way, the sod we bought that day was AMAZING! ! My front yard looks GREAT and I get compliments daily. In fact, I have sent many people to them. I dont know THE LADY S name, but MAY GOD BLESS HER.

Great prices. Piece of advice- dont take the old ladys attitude to heart, shes 91 and stopped caring a long time ago. Actually kind of funny if you youre not easily offended.

Called two times to get estimates on what their prices were, lady that answered was incredibly rude. Hung up on me the first time, called the second and asked for estimates in pricing, them proceeded to tell me to get a calculator and figure it out myself. While having to ask 4 times what her prices per roll were. Definitely not the cheapest In town and absolutely disgusting customer service. Don’t waste time even calling go somewhere that can at least answer a phone more professionally let alone even answer your questions.

This is the 2nd time weve bought sod there. The sod seems first rate. Very fresh and looks great. We will buy again.About the lady that answers the phone. We all have older relatives that are maybe not that patient and are set in their ways. This lady is very old school and doesnt like change. My wife spent several minutes talking to her while I was helping to load a pallet of sod. She had no complaints.The lady was good enough to call here crew to turn around and come back to load us up. The price was way less than the big box stores, and the service was fine.My wife found out about this place when a customer at one of the big box stores suggested it. She was looking at sod at the time. We had 2 positive experiences and will be buying another pallet or two. Its an hour drive one-way.

I love this place ! mom and son operated,the mother is a joy to talk to,plenty of jokes and stories🤗,make sure to call ahead to place your order at least a day so they set aside your order and no one else takes it or they run out, bring gloves and your work clothes because you do have to help them load ,fresh cut,why? because there still wet!! not like stores where they sit outside all dried up, $2.50 a roll

Sod is good quality. Prices are always the best around. I read all these comments about the owner/older lady, never had a issue. Ive bought many rolls of sod from her for many years now. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

“The old lady” wasn’t so bad, she gave me a quote and seemed nice enough. However, when it came time to place the order, she said she would have to call me back. Well... she never called me back. So we took our business to Colorado Springs. 😐

I asked where they were located, lady told me to get in my car and follow directions. Just wow. Go somewhere more professional!

I gave them a call I needed some work done.A lady answered and just because I have a slight accent was the rudest you could possibly be. She didn’t even let me finish what I was saying before she hung up on me. I don’t care how “cheap” the prices are said to be.. dehumanizing someone for an ignorant reason always makes you feel the worst.

This is the third time we have purchased sod from the no problems. The lady is nice NOT rude!

I called yesterday to gather information. I had decided that their sod was probably a good fit for me. I called today with a couple clarifying questions and was planning to make an order. The woman on the phone decided that two phone calls about the same thing was too much and hung up on me. Guess who wont be getting any money from me?

I ordered sod from Lawn Ranger a week in advance and when I drove up to get it (~100 miles) they told me they had sold all their sod that morning. I had even rented a trailer. Do not recommend dealing with these people.

The rude, bitter, bad tempered old lady with the nasty attitude that usually answers the phone is the owners mother and is part owner of the business. Thats why shes on the phone and he doesnt get rid of her. I dont think Ive ever met a more ugly person in my life. Dont even waste your time dealing with her. Save yourself the stress and hassle, buy sod somewhere else. She knows nothing about the business, cant answer any real sod related or landscape questions, and is a liar. If that were my mother, Id prefer to be an orphan.

My Husband And I called around for sod and went here the lady was rude, the sod was ugly and they expected us to load it. We found the number for Dionisio sod and was treated much better. Dont waste you time or money here.

Ordered 30 rolls of sod and lady was so sweet after reading the reviews i have to say that i met with the rude lady and she is a nice sweet lady.. yes i am sure she can get irritated and snappy but we all have those days she is very knowledgeable, smart, and has been in the business for many years. She gave me numerous tips and ideas on how to keep my sod looking fresh healthy and to keep it growing. Offered me the chace to stop by if any problems with sod or to just come and visit.... so to future customers never judge a person by others comments your experience is yours and youll never know unless you find out for your self ...Cheapest in town very nice looking and healty rolls.. have no complaints

My poor husband who is so so nice to everyone called this horrible place on a Sunday to ask if they were open & inquire about purchasing some sod. The old lady on the phone was super rude & seemed annoyed with his questions. She told him she had 30 rolls of sod available so he decided to go ahead and drive out there. Its about a 14 mile drive from our house. He gets there she opens the door in her nightgown & proceeded to tell him they are closed. So he nicely tells her that he just called & she told him they were open & she starts telling him I am not going to argue with you, I never told you that. He took our dog with him for the ride & she then tells him well sorry I dont have a dog to protect me like you do. Very strange comment due to there was no altercation taking place...I believe this woman has dementia or Alzheimers which is very sad but she should not be answering the phone! We will take our business elsewhere where we dont have to deal with delusional old people 🙄

This is a long review but if I can save ONE person from being victim to this horrible place then my review was worth it! I only wish Id read the reviews before I called this place. The reviews describe this business EXACTLY how it is. The woman that answers the phone is VERY MEAN! This is not an exaggeration. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE before you deal with this place!!! I called to ask questions about their sod and services. The woman answers the phone VERY harsh and I ask if I can ask some questions about their sod and services? She replies in a VERY SNOTTY voice Well, there is no one else here but me so call back another time! AND IMMEDIATELY HANGS UP THE PHONE! I was in shock thinking maybe she misunderstood me or is having a bad day? So I call back. NOPE! She really is just a wretched woman! She ended up hanging up on me again bc she clearly didnt like my questions about what services they have which isnt a bad question or wrong at all! Im assuming she must be married to the owner or family otherwise would have been fired by now after reading reviews 6 YEARS AGO that she was doing this and STILL is! No matter what their products or services are, there is NO WAY my money will be going to pay her paycheck bc of her rudeness, harshness, wretched attitude all bc I WANT TO BE ONE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS! You would think she would WANT my business NOT try to get rid of me and have me get rid of future customers by posting this review. I couldnt agree more with the other review. The woman that answers the phone has serious issues. She was just totally rude, rudE, ruDE, rUDE, and yes, RUDE.

Called for an estimate today, the lady on the phone was beyond rude. The website says free estimates, she told me to go measure myself. If I could give zero stars I would.
