Portland flooring is really great! We purchased our floors in August of 2020 before we even started remodeling. Well at the end of January after we got our cabinets installed we realized our floor didnt really go with what we were doing. I called Portland flooring thinking they were going to say too bad. But it was the total opposite, Josh was awesome and said he just wanted us to be happy and it felt genuine. He let us switch it out, I picked something out and then later found out it was discontinued. He looked and looked for something similar but no luck. I did decide on something else. I am not going to lie, still would have love to have that second pick but Joshs and Ashleys customer service was phenomenal. I dont ever want to do another remodel but if we ever need floors again, I would go through Portland flooring again. Disclaimer, when we bought our floors we never picked it up, it was in their warehouse, so probably contributed as to why they let us switch it out. Thanks again guys!

I have called this place 2 times - sent 2 emails to follow up. I not get the courtesy of a reply to anything from anyone. Considering all of the efforts that I have made in this regard, this is a business that just really has no good customer service. Find another place that is responsive to their customers. Very disappointing.

The salesman was entirely indifferent and odd. Didnt ask us any questions. Then the guy was an hour late for the measure and insisted he wasnt late, the appointment of 9-10 was his arrival window, not when the measure was meant to take place. Unclear if the salesman didnt clarify with us or Chris, the gentleman sent to our house was lying. Regardless, no thank you.

Was in the market for Brazilian cherry and was struggling to find a good place to purchase from. I was looking for a reputable, customer service oriented, and reasonably priced company to buy from. After several dead ends I came across Portland Flooring. I spoke with Josh and I could not have been more pleased with the overall experience. They were able to get me exactly what I had been looking for quite fast and the prices were on point. Through out the whole sale Josh took the time to explain the whole process and really put me at ease with the big purchase. Would recommend!!

They have a beautiful showroom, with a huge range of styles and prices that makes it as easy as possible to find the perfect flooring option. They also had great customer service, and answered every question I had with ease throughout the entire process, from choosing the flooring, through the installation. These guys go way out of their way to help you with your needs. I came in for laminate flooring that I heard was on sale and discounted. The gentleman helping me showed me the discounted items and gave me a large roll of laminate for $20. He even added in a bucket of material to install the laminate for free! Very good service!

Tried to obtain some tiles for a small kitchen remodel. Unable to find the right sizes and tiles, but staff were very helpful (especially Ashley) and friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Wonderful to deal with from them coming to our home to show us samples and get measurements, to installation. Quality work throughout, and they work FAST! They finished around 540 sq./ft. of carpet install in our basement in about 3 hours. AMAZING! Their prices were also very reasonable.

I am so impressed with Josh and Will at Portland Flooring! We had an asbestos abatement to deal with at our new house. In a time crunch we contacted Josh through a friends reference. I was able to set up an appointment as soon as the asbestos company was finished. They were able to do our floor install short notice and it only took them two days to finish all three bedrooms!! Will, our floor installer guru, was the nicest, most reliable guy. And he did a beautiful job with the new natural maple hardwood floors. They look stunning! I was so happy that I almost cried. Dont listen to anyone who says you cant get professional, fast, and beautiful work all in one package. They are the best!

I went to a few different stores in town and finally found the carpet I wanted here. The installers did a great job! No complaints. The whole process went about as smooth as I could imagine. I really enjoyed working with Portland flooring! I called and made an appointment with Josh and he came out at the exact time he said he would and took measurements and gave me a wonderful quote as he knew I was on a budget!! He was very professional and easy to work with! I am doing the main part of the house now in new carpet and I will definitely be using this company in the near future when I redo the bedroom carpets as well!! We hired Josh, apparently the owner’s son, to pull up carpeting and install wood flooring in a hallway and in our third floor. Then carpet out stairs. The last step would be using his dad’s business, Portland Tile, to tile our walk-in closet floor, MAYBE an eight foot by four foot job, huge, easy pieces of tile. It was a big job. We should’ve done way more research.Josh was completely professional at first, but then wouldn’t visit the job site to see how work was progressing. He then stopped answering his phone eventually when we kept calling to complain that tons of damage was being done as floors and carpeting were pulled up and the proper steps were not being taken to assure that proper finishing work could be done on the back end.Long story short. Josh hired guys that could tear stuff out and do flooring, but they both did more damage than the floor was worth, and sullied the floors up by using too much glue, which also took several days to cure, to the point where we had to get a hotel room. He paid for hotel but when we realized that the guys that installed the floors couldn’t do finishing work, we fired josh and demanded a refund. The carpeting had just gone down and there were GLARING spots where padding wasn’t used or doubled up to accommodate gaps and entire sections finished out with debris underneath that can now be felt when walking bare foot. Also the tops of the stairs were almost comically bad.We’ve had to pay more than the job itself to repair the damage Josh and his team did. It’s made us bitter about hiring any professional to do work on our house at this point and we hope no one uses them going forward. But that’s not all!We had fired josh before the job was done so he left a bunch if debris at our house, and then he stiffed his OWN TILE guys. They called me asking for payment a week later when I specifically told them before they finished the job that they probably wouldn’t be paid by Josh, but they didn’t believe me. They are still in contact with me and we’re thinking about going forward with a lawsuit at this point.This review will be posted on Angie’s List, AND Google reviews; if you can think of another place where this review belongs, I’d love to know!I bet dad’s not gonna be happy with this review!But ‘dad’ shipped us broken tile that had to be replaced last minutes so.....well....so it goes.

We had some miscommunication at the start but Josh and his team more than made up for it! Had a luxury vinyl replace the carpet upstairs and it looks amazing! They bring like 6 guys out and get the job done quickly and professionally. Josh also went above and beyond tying in a difficult stair piece. Will definitely use again for my next flooring project.

I stopped by Portland Flooring because of all of the positive reviews I read about Joshua and his crews and they were spot on. Joshua was very helpful during our decision process on which types of flooring to choose. We didnt wait long to get scheduled for install either which was a definite plus. We had our entire upstairs carpeted (BEAUTIFUL) and installed tile in 2 of our bathrooms. The carpet guys did a great job and the gentleman that did the tile was fantastic, and all of them were extremely polite and professional. We have one more bathroom to do and will eventually get hardwood floors downstairs. Well definitely use Portland Flooring for both!

This is one of the most interesting showrooms that Ive been to in Portland! I came here looking for vinyl planking to put throughout the house. There was a wide selection of products and the displays were neat and easy to view. I ended up finding something I was very happy with for a great price. Would definitely recommend!

We were on a tight time frame, but they were able to schedule us in. The crew showed up right as scheduled, got the flooring and carpeting installed efficiently, and it looks great. We were flexible on what carpet went in, so Josh was able to find a good deal. Even without that it would have come in lower than the other place we got a quote from.

Old Carpet Replaced in Four Rooms for Selling Home:The moment we walked into the showroom to the completed installation; we had a great experience. I saw the ad for carpet, pad, and installation for $1.99 SF and was somewhat wary of what the quality of the material and workmanship could be at that price. At the showroom, we looked at the options and they didnt try to up sell us, in fact, they agreed that the 1.99 SF carpet would work well for our needs. The installers were on time, very pleasant, vacuumed, and completed the job faster than wed expected. The new carpet has updated these rooms with a clean, neutral, and modern look. I went in looking to buy some new carpet for my bathroom. He politely persuaded me into upgrading to a nice hexagon mosaic tile that perfectly matches our sink countertops. I am now in the process of redueing two more rooms all because of the phenomenal customer service, excuted in a quick and professional manner. Now my bathroom looks amazing and I ended up saving 300$ opting for the tile over carpet. They have made a customer for life.
