Our son is a great student but the prospects of studying for his SAT test were not all that inspiring for him. Getting into a good school has always been a priority for me and I knew that I needed to prepare for the SAT in order to achieve that. I was recommended to Stumptown Test Prep by my school’s college counselor and couldn’t have been happier with my experience. Sophomore year I scored a 1340 on my SAT, which is a good score to start with but I knew that it had to improve to reach my goals. I worked with tutor Logan Wright once a week for a few months, meeting over zoom because of the pandemic. I also took advantage of the complementary practice tests run by Stumptown, which were proctored over zoom as well.I am proud and excited to say that at the end of all of that hard work, I scored a 1560 and have no need to ever take the test again! Logan worked diligently with me and made sure I always had what I needed, setting me up for success from the very beginning. Logan with Stumptown did tutoring with our daughter over a period of time to help her with her testing. Pre-Logan she was in the 1100s with her SAT and post-Logan her ACT score was the equivalent of a 1400 SAT score. We couldnt be more pleased and it helped her get into Gonzaga and increased the amount of merit money we received. I worked with Logan and he was wonderful! I had gotten an 1100 on the PSAT and we worked more on the ACT and got me up to a 33 on my ACT, which when translated, is about 300 points higher than my PSAT! highly recommend!

I can’t rave enough about Stumptown! My daughter and my son both went here and did really well on their SAT and ACT. My son took the test in fall of his junior year after 6 visits with Logan and I think 2 practice tests on saturdays. Those practice tests were critical because he learned the pace he needed to finish the ACT. Logan was amazing with targeted work and strategies. Stumptown in the summer between sophomore and junior year and taking the test jr fall is genius. You have time to take it againif you need to and if you do well you are done. Stumptown was the best money I spent on the college process because no one can get you in anywhere if you don’t have grades and test scores. I will do it again when my 3rd child because it is so critical it worth the money and can pay you back in merit aid.
